Aside from being a married woman now and moving to Jinxiu Garden, almost everything was the same for Adrienne. With the school year ending soon, she only needed to wait for graduation day before she could entirely focus on her work in Purple Cloud. Because of this, she spent a lot of time at home with her husband and barely left the estate unless needed.

Meanwhile, Adrienne had no idea that she and her husband were the center of the discussion between the Qin-Si guards. Lennox’s main bodyguards were a pair of identical twins, Jet and Jasper. Jet was the older one and had an introverted personality, while Jasper was the more outspoken of the two.

The Qin-Si elite guards’s favorite pastime among themselves was competing in close combat and betting. At the moment, their topics usually revolve around their Master Nox and their new mistress, Adrienne Jiang.

Adrienne’s presence had sparked a wave of curiosity and speculation among the guards as they wondered what qualities she possessed to capture Lennox’s heart. Some even speculated about her background and how she would fit into their tightly-knit group.

When they first saw her, most of them noticed her dark eyes. When those eyes looked at them, they were as cold as ice, making them feel uneasy in her presence. However, when they observed Adrienne Jiang together with their Master Nox, they all noticed the slight gentleness in her eyes and a small smile curling her lips.

The Qin-Si guards were initially wary of her because she came from the Jiang family. All the members of the Jiang family were arrogant but stupid. They weren’t willing to acknowledge a brainless woman as their mistress.

However, as they spent more time observing Adrienne, they realized she differed from the rest of her family. She possessed a rare combination of intelligence and compassion, which earned her the respect and trust of the guards.

"Ah, I would have never thought Master Nox would get married one day. It’s truly a miracle to see him open up to someone," Jasper commented as he lazily sat on a tree branch behind the manor.

Irina raised a brow. "You make it sound as if it were impossible for him to find the right woman."

Because their master and mistress had chosen to coop up in their home; naturally, their bodyguards also had to stay and rest for a moment. Jet was nowhere to be found since their Master Lennox sent him for an errand while Irina, Kalista, and Leight were having a small picnic in the back garden with Jasper.

"It’s not like that, Irina." Jasper said in defense, "But after the mishap Master Nox encountered during the accident, seeing him marry someone was the last thing everyone would expect. He’s become more cautious and reserved, especially regarding matters of the heart." Jasper sighed, his gaze drifting off into the distance. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

"Besides, finding someone who truly understands him and can handle the complexities of his life is no easy task."

Irina nodded in understanding, realizing the weight of the situation. "I suppose you’re right," she conceded. "I suppose it was a stroke of luck when he met Madam that day at the hospital."

Jasper’s eyes softened as he recalled the serendipitous encounter. "Yes, it was as if fate intervened and brought them together. Madam’’s presence has indeed helped Master Nox in many ways. "

Irina couldn’t help but smile, knowing true love can blossom in the most unexpected places.

"Anyway, I can’t believe we lost in a bet with Jet." Jasper gritted his teeth in annoyance. He always seems to have luck on his side. I guess we’ll just have to try harder next time."

Kalista chuckled. "Indeed, Jet’s knack for winning is quite remarkable. But hey, at least we had a good time playing."

"That’s still unfair!" Jasper huffed. "How was he supposed to know Master Nox and Madam would immediately consummate their marriage? Jet is spending too much time with Master Nox! He must have known Master Nox’s next move."

Leigh shook her head and took a sip from her cup of tea.

"It’s just a coincidence, Jasper," Leigh replied calmly. "Jet can’t possibly predict every move Master Nox makes. Let’s not let it ruin our enjoyment of the game."

Butler Cheng came at that moment, bringing some refreshments and snacks for the other guards taking a break.

"I can hear you from afar, Jasper. What are you complaining about this time?" The old man asked.

Usually, Butler Cheng would chase them away and remind them of their responsibilities. But they had all been busy since their Master Nox’s return, and this was the first time they could rest and relax, even just for a moment, so Butler Cheng left them be.

Jasper scoffed, looking annoyed.

"He’s throwing a tantrum because he lost the bet," Kalista answered instead. All the Qin-Si elite guards had made a bet whether their master and new mistress would consummate their marriage as soon as they got married, and many of them lost to Jet. They all thought that with their new madam’s temperament, their Master Nox might need a little more before experiencing the ’spring night’ with her.

Butler Cheng chuckled. "Ah, that’s the spirit of competition. Don’t worry; you’ll have more chances to win." He then asked Irina, "How is Madam Adrienne settling in? Is there anything she needs?"

Irina smiled faintly. "She’s doing well; thank you for asking. She’s been spending most of her time at home with Master Lennox, but I’ll make sure to relay your message to her."

Butler Cheng nodded, his wrinkled face showing a hint of concern. "Please do. Madam Adrienne is still new here despite being a frequent guest in the past. I want to make sure she feels welcome and comfortable here."

The conversation continued as the guards enjoyed their break, laughing and chatting about their lives outside of work. Jasper, however, was determined to win the next bet against his older brother.

"Hey, at the rate Master Nox and Madam Adrienne were going, do you think the master plans to have a mini-master anytime soon?" He blurted out of the blue, catching everyone’s attention.

By this time, everyone in the Qin-Si guards already knew that Lennox and Adrienne stayed at her penthouse in Nanchuang for the next three days without leaving. They hadn’t made many public appearances outside since returning to Jinxiu Garden.

Kalista frowned. "I doubt that could happen, and why couldn’t it be our little miss instead? Anyway, Madam isn’t planning to have a child anytime soon, and neither did I hear Master mention anything about it."
