"CEO Li, thank you for stepping forward to help our Addie." Reese regarded Abigail politely. "Your intervention has truly saved her from a dreadful fate," Reese continued, his gratitude evident in his tone. "It’s heartening to see someone of your stature standing up for what is right."
Abigail sighed softly. "It was nothing. I just can’t tolerate seeing them bullying Miss Jiang."
Today’s banquet had over a hundred guests, and by cornering Adrienne like this, Alistair was indirectly staking a claim on her. It was good that Lennox arrived in time to save Adrienne.
"Alistair Han’s actions were not only cruel but also a clear abuse of power," she added. "I couldn’t stand by and let him get away with it."
