"Everyone in the Jiang family is an idiot. Surprisingly, they were able to produce Hunter Nian and Adrienne Jiang. To use her own sister to push the Jiang family into further trouble was clever but also too vicious." Gavin paused as he thought of something: "What a pity."
He then glanced at Lennox, who was not in a good mood. Adrienne had left before dawn, returning to the Gu mansion to tie up the loose ends. He would rather have Adrienne stay with him than for her to return to that wretched place.
Lennox knew that Adrienne’s decision to return to the Gu mansion was necessary, but it still pained him to see her go. He couldn’t help but worry about her safety and well-being . As he watched her leave, a sense of longing and concern washed over him, making him wish he could protect her from the troubles of her family.
As his fiance, Lennox naturally didn’t want Adrienne to be exposed to further danger. He could only wait until Adrienne was done before he could make a move. "Calm down, will you?" Gavin told Lennox, "Didn’t you send more guards to accompany Miss Jiang this time?"
"Would that be enough? If they try to pull something again, I will not let them off easily." Lennox looked agitated. The urge to follow Adrienne to the Gu mansion was too strong, but he had promised Adrienne that he would let her finish the last part of her plan. If it were him, he would have ended Ares Gu’s life right then and there.
"Just wait for your turn, Nox. I heard Old Master Zhao was involved. He would definitely not allow anyone to harm Miss Jiang under his watch." Gavin assured his friend, "Anyway, do you want to end the Gu Corporation this early?"
"So what? In the end, they will lose everything. It doesn’t matter if they fall today or tomorrow." Lennox tapped his fingertips lightly on the table.

Although Adrienne shared a resemblance with her mother, her heart was beyond vicious, which could make one wonder how she was able to turn the tables with ease. Camilla was able to defeat Rosemary, but when it came to Adrienne, she felt threatened and vulnerable before the young woman.
