Reborn on Wedding Night: Flirting the Cold Bigshot into Blushes-Chapter 312: Playing Games
Godfery Shaw had such a calm demeanor, seemingly unhurried, not putting any pressure on Nancy Allen.
But faced with this version of Godfery Shaw, Nancy felt her pressure doubling.
They all entered the amusement park together. It was still early, and the park was already lit up everywhere. The person in charge greeted them with a sycophantic smile.
"Boss Shaw, you’re here. Do you really not need the park cleared?" The person in charge asked cautiously, slightly bowing.
"No need," Godfery Shaw replied casually.
Because Sophie Allen felt that the amusement park was more fun when it was lively. Clearing the park for only her to play would be meaningless.
Hailey Smith called the person in charge over and whispered a few arrangements, after which he quickly stepped away and refrained from disturbing them.
However, quite a few people were watching them.
Mainly because their group, just by appearance, didn’t seem quite ordinary.
Sophie Allen cheerfully said, "I want to play bumper cars first."
There were many facilities in the amusement park that small children couldn’t use.
Sophie chose equipment that children could play on.
Nancy Allen had actually hardly ever visited an amusement park. When she was with the Wright family, they wouldn’t take her, and later, after growing up, she felt embarrassed to come alone.
The last time she went to an amusement park was after her rebirth. Feeling heartbroken due to entanglements with Godfery Shaw, she went alone to play thrilling attractions like bungee jumping. In that extreme excitement, she sensed that she was still living.
Emily Allen doted on her sister and had already gone to queue for tickets.
Nancy wrote down, "You guys go ahead, I’ll wait for you at the entrance."
Sophie pulled Nancy’s hand, gently shaking it and pleading, "Mom, just come play with us, it’s rare we get to go out and play."
Nancy awkwardly wrote down, "I don’t really know how to play."
Sophie earnestly said, "It’s okay, Mom. If you don’t know, I’ll teach you. You don’t have to be really good at it."
Nancy couldn’t resist Sophie’s hopeful gaze, and she eventually agreed.
Emily bought four tickets.
Emily handed one to Sophie, Godfery Shaw had one, Nancy had one, and Hailey Smith even had one.
They all entered the field one by one.
In the field, many bumper cars were parked, and some cars already had people sitting inside.
Two amusement park officials gathered in the distance.
One of them nervously asked, "Do we really not need to clear the area? So many people playing bumper cars, what if these noble guests get into an accident?"
The person who had approached earlier to greet them had a bit of sweat on his forehead, remaining calm as he said, "It should be fine. Boss Shaw said there’s no need to clear the area. Think about it, if Boss Shaw really wanted to mess with our small park, would he need to come in person? Would we deserve it? So clearly, he’s just here with his family to play. We just follow instructions and don’t bother them."
The other official considered this and realized he was right. This small place isn’t worthy of Boss Shaw’s schemes. Thinking this way, he felt relieved.
Sophie and Emily picked a blue bumper car.
Godfery Shaw and Hailey Smith also chose a blue one.
This area only had one pink car left. Nancy glanced around and reluctantly sat in the pink bumper car.
Sophie chirped beside Nancy, teaching her how to start, brake, and turn the steering wheel.
Soon the game began.
The bumper cars in the field started moving.
Someone drove straight toward Nancy.
It wasn’t intentional to make things difficult; it was mostly because Nancy was too conspicuous, like a princess in the amusement park’s castle.
In bumper cars, you tend to bump into the ones that catch your eye.
Nancy had just learned how to drive, had no way to dodge, and was rocked by the impact.
Sophie shouted, "Brother, they hit my mom. Let’s go hit them back!"
Hailey Smith also yelled, "Dare to hit our Young Madam. Come on, who’s scared!"
Hailey Smith, who came to protect her, was having more fun than anyone.
Listening to everyone’s shouts amid laughter, Nancy thought it seemed quite fun.
Then she noticed Godfery Shaw, who had been following alongside her, skillfully driving his blue bumper car and accidentally hitting the car that had bumped into hers.
Nancy: "..."
Godfery Shaw was being childish too?
The scene unfolded with three blue bumper cars forming a protective circle around a pink bumper car.
With Hailey Smith and Sophie’s passionate enthusiasm, the atmosphere in the field became lively.
Everyone intentionally tried to crash into the protection circle formed by them.
Mainly because they were all so good-looking; not for any other reason but to play with attractive people!
Seeing everyone actively attacking them, Sophie was overjoyed, directing her brother to crash into other cars with a bang.
Nancy, protected in the middle, felt the playful urge when a car breached the barrier, hitting the opponent out.
Personally participating in this atmosphere, Nancy’s usually cool face gradually lit up with a smile.
Godfery Shaw subtly watched Nancy, seeing her start having fun, occasionally letting a bumper car slip in on purpose.
She had never played so happily, and he wanted her to be carefree and happy.
After a collision session ended, Sophie was so excited her face turned red, pulling Emily off to the next attraction.
A children’s carousel.
Hailey Smith, Emily, and Godfery Shaw didn’t go; just Nancy and Sophie went.
The scene of one big and one small person who looked alike sitting on the carousel was so fairy-tale-like that surrounding visitors started taking pictures. But only after Hailey promptly stopped them did they stop photographing.
That day, Nancy played many attractions, mainly because Sophie chose them. All were child-friendly, with none being thrilling games.
Yet the fun was genuine.
Because she was truly playing, with no pressure or worries, just pure play.
Finally, they reached the water boat attraction.
Sophie had planned ahead, buying several large water guns and distributed one to each person, then said to Godfery, "Mr. Shaw, we’ll likely have a water fight soon, so getting wet should be okay. Can you get mom a raincoat so she doesn’t catch a cold?"
Sophie was very thoughtful, looking out for Nancy even amidst the joyous play.
Godfery Shaw hadn’t yet moved when the person in charge came over with several raincoats, fawningly said, "Boss Shaw, our amusement park’s water boating actually involves a water fight onboard. You might not have known that since it’s your first time. I’ve prepared some raincoats."
Godfery Shaw nodded towards the person in command.
Hailey Smith took the raincoat and said to the official, "Very attentive! You guys may leave, we’re done after this attraction. Your park’s well managed."
The praise left the two officials almost crying with joy.
Because this compliment could mean better prospects for the amusement park in the future.
Everyone donned raincoats and waited a moment before the boat set off.
The boatman used a long bamboo stick to steer the boat across the clear water, creating a picturesque scene.
Suddenly, someone on a boat behind them used a small bucket to scoop water, splashing it towards their boat.
