Reborn on Wedding Night: Flirting the Cold Bigshot into Blushes-Chapter 305: Nancy Allen Can Like My Brother, or Me
Julius Shaw directly carried Nancy Allen away.
Elijah Jefferson paused for a moment and then followed them.
All those who caused trouble were taken away, leaving only the crew who knew nothing looking at each other.
Director Harris patted his chest in fear and said, "Fortunately, our show just started filming. If something happened to the female lead after we finished, it would have been a huge loss."
Everyone couldn’t help but nod in agreement.
One by one, they packed their things and hurriedly left this place of trouble.
Thinking that in the future, when they take outdoor scenes, they would never come to this part of the mountain again as it was too unsafe.
...
Julius Shaw was about to leave with Nancy Allen.
He didn’t like this city and planned to take Nancy directly back to Riverwood City, whether Nancy agreed or not.
However, Elijah Jefferson suddenly called out to Julius Shaw, "Wait a minute, she didn’t say she wants to leave with you."
The previous chaos and the issue with the earring made Elijah feel that his intentions were exposed in public, making him a little afraid to face Nancy.
Now that he had calmed down, he recalled why Nancy had met him in the first place, how she had been taken to a bar late at night, and how a fight broke out, indicating problems between Nancy and Godfery Shaw.
Nancy said that the reason Godfery Shaw liked her was because he mistook her for someone else.
The problem hadn’t been resolved, and Nancy hadn’t expressed her opinion, so he couldn’t let Godfery just take her away like this.
Julius Shaw paused his steps. He had been trying to ignore this person’s existence, yet here he was, daring to speak, reminding him that during the time Nancy left, she stayed under the same roof as this person.
Julius Shaw squinted his eyes and turned back to say, "Do you really think I won’t take action against you?"
Elijah Jefferson, not one to be afraid of a confrontation, said, "You can take action against me, but you can’t force her."
The two faced off, neither willing to retreat.
Nancy knew Elijah was confusing Julius Shaw with Godfery Shaw.
It was unwise to provoke Julius Shaw now, as who knew what he might do if he lost control; besides, she had planned on booking a ticket to leave after filming was completed.
Nancy’s low voice interrupted their stand-off, "Elijah, no one is forcing me, I was going to return anyway, I’m sorry for causing you trouble these past days, I’ll sort things out with him."
Elijah gripped the blue sapphire earring in his palm tightly, knowing that this "Elijah" was a way of telling him that they were friends, and only friends.
Julius Shaw tightened his grip on Nancy, "’Elijah,’ oh how affectionate that sounds!"
Nancy sensed Julius Shaw’s tension, and her cool hand pressed against his chest as if to quell his anger.
Elijah stepped back a step, no longer part of the confrontation, and nodded, saying, "Since you’ve decided to go back yourself, I won’t say much, but it’s about time for your medication, come with me to get it."
Weary, Nancy looked at Julius Shaw.
Julius Shaw, with the limited rationality he had, nodded; he could disregard other matters but not her health.
Following Elijah to the building below the neighborhood, Julius Shaw stayed downstairs, waiting for Elijah to retrieve the medication before he took Nancy away without turning back.
Julius Shaw took Nancy directly onto a plane, not a private jet since its limited space wasn’t comfortable enough, so he booked the first-class cabin of a passenger plane.
The large first-class cabin had only Nancy and Julius Shaw within.
Julius Shaw administered Nancy her medication, and she was already drowsy.
Having shot two scenes, suffered injuries, and bled, she was long exhausted.
After Nancy fell asleep, Julius Shaw covered her with a blanket, and just watched her intently, not blinking.
Staring at Nancy’s still slightly red earlobe, he fell into thought, thinking how she liked earrings, and he should personally craft some to gift her when she presented him a new bracelet, he’d give them in return.
If Hailey Smith or Basil Smith were here, they’d probably be astounded that a personality filled with killing intent had learned to give gifts.
Nancy was awakened by the turbulence of the plane landing, and as her consciousness cleared, she found herself being carried horizontally by Julius Shaw, heading out of the airport.
Nancy took a deep breath, just about to speak.
Julius Shaw coldly ordered, "Quiet! Do you want to lose your voice?"
After saying that, Julius Shaw handed Nancy a pen and paper.
Nancy paused, picked up the paper and pen, and wrote, "Julius Shaw, put me down, I can walk by myself, our relationship is not suitable for such close contact."
Julius Shaw glanced at the small notebook held in front of him and didn’t stop his steps, his arm’s grip not relaxing at all; instead, he held Nancy even tighter, smiling wickedly, "Is Nancy doing a ’crossing the river and tearing down the bridge’? What’s wrong with our relationship? Nancy can like brother, so she can like me too. Nancy is mine to begin with!"
Nancy gave up struggling. From the first meeting, she knew Julius Shaw was unreasonable; unless she had the chance to knock him out, talking was useless.
Nancy wrote again, "Where are you taking me?"
Julius Shaw answered matter-of-factly, "Back to the Imperial Garden."
Nancy thought of Godfery Shaw, a hitch in her heart, and quickly wrote, "I don’t want to go to the Imperial Garden, I want to return to Ink Manor."
Julius Shaw directly refused, "No."
Julius Shaw’s personality was not as amenable as Godfery Shaw’s; Godfery had a touch of avoidance in his uncertainty, while Julius was more about possessiveness and force.
Nancy lowered her head, stayed silent for a while, then wrote again, "What about him? Is he at the Imperial Garden? I want to rest today; once I’m rested, I’ll go see him."
These words were tactful but clear; she didn’t want to see Godfery Shaw now.
Julius Shaw’s expression was complicated, unsure if he should be annoyed or secretly delighted.
That Nancy didn’t want to go to the Imperial Garden wasn’t because she didn’t want to see him, but rather, she didn’t want to see her brother, made him secretly pleased, yet he and his brother were essentially the same person...
Seeing Julius Shaw stay silent, Nancy tentatively wrote, "Can I go back to the old town?"
Ink Manor represented her teacher and Sophie, while the old town was Nancy’s own place; given Julius Shaw’s strong possessiveness, returning to her place should be better.
Sure enough, Julius Shaw agreed with a nod.
Over in the old town, when Nancy returned to Riverwood City, she’d already arranged for it to be tidied up, though she hadn’t gone to live there yet.
Julius Shaw brought Nancy over, skillfully taking the keys from under the flower pot on the windowsill to open the door.
Watching his familiar movements, Nancy couldn’t help but wonder if she should change her hiding spot for the keys, as it seemed everyone knew they were under the flower pot on the windowsill.
Entering the house, it was clean and tidy, with all beddings and furnishings replaced with new ones, and the paintings on the walls had been reframed.
The small house, simply remodeled, looked very cozy.
Julius Shaw put Nancy down, and she sat on a chair, then wrote, "Thank you for coming to save me this time. I’m okay now, you can go back."
Julius Shaw’s face suddenly darkened.
