Chapter 547: Chapter 547 Looking for Faults (3)_1

Ye An Ya’s hands trembled, and she felt a wave of nausea at the sight of various insects covering the table. She couldn’t help but think of the cursed insects raised by the Eldest Young Master. They were also bugs—bugs that ate human flesh.

SQUEAKING noises began to rise, and a lid, not yet opened, was knocked off by the creatures underneath. A nest of newborn mice appeared right before Ye An Ya’s eyes.

SQUEAK, SQUEAK, SQUEAK. They were placed on the table before they had even opened their eyes.

"Ah!" Ye An Ya screamed, recoiling several meters from the table. Her face turned ashen, her body shaking violently. Ye Min stared at the plate of wriggling mice, then opened all the lids, revealing a mouse roasted to a golden brown on the dining table.

"Waiter! Waiter!" Ye Min yelled. The manager, who had been by the door, entered. He too could no longer bear this visual assault.

"This is your exquisite dish? Get these things off my table right now! To serve such disgusting things—it’s attempted murder!" Ye An Ya shouted at the waiter, struggling to suppress the revulsion churning within her.

"Miss Ye, Mister Ye, this is the Hundred Insect Feast. This table of dishes alone is worth over a million. And those three courses you just ate? They were made from finely chopped newborn mice. You seemed to be enjoying them quite a bit just now, so why the change of heart?"

"That’s right. The ’Ice and Water Double-Layer Feast’ is an insect feast. When I introduced it, Miss Ye didn’t decline," the manager said, looking at Ye An Ya and Ye Min with contempt. He then threw the nest of baby mice into a boiling pot, and their high-pitched screams filled the room.

The manager deftly fished them out with tongs and placed them into their bowls. "These taste even better than the previous dishes. Do try them. I’m sure you’ll both love them," he said.

Ye An Ya turned and ran into the restroom, vomiting violently. She had actually eaten mice! She had eaten *those things*!

"’So, you two dislike our hotel’s cuisine and possess such... unique preferences? You should have told us sooner!’ the manager remarked. He watched them retreat to the restroom one after the other, a look of disdain on his face. ’If only we’d known.’ He then left, leaving them to slowly ’savor’ the expensive dishes."

On the top floor, Yang Xiu, Chen Xu, and a few others were finally understanding what it meant to truly enjoy life and how the sons of nobility lived. Looking at the glamorous waitresses and the entire top floor reserved just for them, they felt as if they were dreaming.

This was a place they could never have imagined visiting in their lifetimes. Yet, to their surprise, by simply helping out with welcoming the new students, they had gained access. The way some of them looked at Shangguan You’s group changed, and they began to speculate about their identities.

"Eldest Miss, Miss Shangguan, it’s been taken care of," the hotel manager said softly to Yu Zijin and Shangguan You.

"Hmm. Well done. Today, reward everyone involved with double their salary," Yu Zijin said, her eyes narrowing into a smile. Although she hadn’t witnessed it herself, she could vividly imagine Ye An Ya and Ye Min’s miserable state.

Thinking of their miserable state brightened Yu Zijin’s mood considerably. Chaoyang Hotel is our territory. The thought of anyone trying to climb over our heads is utterly preposterous!

"Girl, what did you do?" Lin Wenjie asked, looking at the smile playing on Shangguan You’s lips, a hint of confusion in his voice.

"Miss Ye and Mister Ye didn’t care for the food here, so I had a special table prepared for them. They seem quite satisfied now, enjoying themselves in their private room."

"What kind of feast did you prepare?"

"Oh, nothing much really. Miss Ye and the others have rather... strong tastes, and couldn’t quite appreciate our usual cuisine. So, I just prepared a table with similarly strong flavors for them. It’s a good thing Zijin mentioned this place had such options, otherwise I really wouldn’t have known how to satisfy Miss Ye and her companions today. Thankfully, they seem quite content. The manager just said their bill came to over a million."

Shangguan You raised an eyebrow. Her voice wasn’t loud, but she was sure everyone present could hear her clearly.

"Shangguan You, get the hell out here!" a furious roar erupted.

The door to their private room was kicked open, and Ye An Ya charged in, her face pale and strikingly sallow.

Ye Min followed, his face equally pallid. If one looked closely, his steps were somewhat unsteady. His physical condition couldn’t compare to Ye An Ya’s now. Though not obvious on the surface, no one knew this better than Ye Min himself.

Previously, Ye Min would never have given Ye An Ya a second thought. But now, a bitter smile on his face, he was under orders from both the Eldest Young Master and the Third Young Master. His current task was simply to watch over and accompany Ye An Ya.

Ye An Ya had been vomiting for a full half-hour, even bringing up bile, until there was nothing left. Only then did it hit her: she had to find Shangguan You and settle scores. How dare Shangguan You serve her a table of insects and mice! Shangguan You was too arrogant, utterly disregarding her!

The Third Young Master had destroyed thirty percent of her Inner Strength and severely injured her. Given who had dealt the blow, no one dared to treat her. Even the Eldest Young Master had tacitly agreed. If it weren’t for needing to obtain medicine for the Eldest Young Master, Ye An Ya wouldn’t have come here, nor would she have suffered such a humiliating blow from Shangguan You.

Shangguan You’s eyebrow arched slightly. A mocking smile touched her lips as she looked at Ye An Ya, gently swirling the red wine in her glass. Her posture was elegant, her attitude faintly disdainful.

"Shangguan You!" Ye An Ya bellowed. Seeing Shangguan You’s leisurely demeanor, anger surged uncontrollably within her. Never in her life had she been so humiliated. Ever since meeting Shangguan You, she hadn’t known a single day of peace.

She couldn’t beat her in a fight, nor outwit her in an argument. Every attempt to provoke her backfired, thanks to Shangguan You’s schemes. The frustration Ye An Ya felt was suffocating, and the mere thought of what she had eaten made her stomach churn anew.

"Ye An Ya, what’s wrong?" Shangguan You asked, raising an eyebrow, a faint smile on her lips. "Not satisfied with the ’Ice and Fire Feast’ just now? Shall I have the manager prepare another table for you? A variety of flavors, guaranteed to suit your preferences."
