Reborn for Revenge: Find her Fated Alpha-Chapter 70: Harmonious scene
"What are you looking at? You have that kind of gaze since we returned from the healers’ community," Cyrus finally pointed out as they sat at the dining table for dinner.
Amelia feigned innocence and shrugged her shoulders as if she didn’t know what he was talking about.
Her gaze was shy, holding deeper emotions as she looked down at her plate, stuffing her mouth with food to keep her busy and avoid Cyrus’s hot gaze.
However, if she thought the man, who usually appears quiet, would let go of the matter, she was wrong.
Cyrus’s lips curved into a sly smile as he took in her embarrassed expression.
"You are looking at me as if you want to rape me," Cyrus said shamelessly.
Amelia’s eyes widened at his words, and she choked on her food, coughing wildly.
Tears welled in her eyes as she looked at the man in disbelief.
Miss Quinn, shocked by the King’s vulgar words, rushed to the princess to help her.
However, before the maid’s hand could touch her back, Cyrus held the armrest of Amelia’s chair and pulled her closer.
He didn’t know what changed in him after that kiss. If he knew things would turn out like this, he would’ve never asked her to act like a wife and allowed her to kiss him.
Or maybe he still would’ve done so.
She was attracting him with her charm, like a true seductress, and he was not at all ashamed to admit that, for once, he wanted to be seduced, and of course, he blamed it all on his wolf, who was corrupting his mind with sinful thoughts.
Cyrus rubbed Amelia’s back, patting it softly, helping her until she relaxed.
"Better?" He asked.
Amelia nodded, still looking at him with a wronged expression, but not saying anything.
"What I want is impossible," Amelia said after a long time, and Cyrus lifted his brows.
Not possible? Was she talking about having sex? Well, that wasn’t exactly impossible.
He wondered before clenching his jaws. His gaze shifted downwards, where his soldier was already waking up to have a long battle at the word ’sex’, and he cursed under his breath.
To distract himself, he tried to concentrate on Amelia’s words.
"What is impossible?" He asked.
Amelia shook her head.
"It’s impossible. I know," she said, her face dejected, and Cyrus didn’t like it.
What was it that she wanted that he couldn’t give her? Was she testing his abilities? Or was she questioning his stamina? Just because he had never done it before, she thought he couldn’t satisfy her.
What a brazen woman!
"What do you mean? What can’t I do? Be clear," Cyrus’s voice hardened at the thought of her questioning his stamina in bed.
It was a matter of pride for him now, and if she said anything regarding that, he wouldn’t think twice before showing her what he could do.
"Well..." Amelia licked her bottom lip, catching Cyrus’s attention to her lips, which he snapped quickly.
"When you were drinking justice for me, standing before the crowd for me, and said you were ready to be a monster for everyone if it meant protecting me, I felt something deep inside me. I wanted to do something for you, but it’s impossible," Amelia said shyly.
Cyrus’s lips twitched. He was sure she was only moving in that direction where he thought she was.
Even Miss Quinn’s ears turned red, and she wondered if she should stay with the couple or leave. Hearing their conversations didn’t seem appropriate, but she wanted to know what their princess thought.
"What?" Cyrus demanded again.
"I wanted to impregnate you," Amelia whispered.
Cyrus coughed a little at her words before he cleared his throat.
"I think I couldn’t hear you properly. What did you say?" He asked.
"I said I wanted to impregnate you. Make you my baby’s mommy," Amelia said, her words a little defiant.
Fabian, who entered the dining room to tell the King that Former King Grayson was on his way, froze. What did their princess say? What did she want to do?
Cyrus - "..."
Everyone else - "..."
Miss Quinn quickly walked out of the room. She didn’t want to laugh aloud in the dining room and become the center of their King’s wrath.
"Do you even know how things work? I am a man," Cyrus said.
Amelia pouted and nodded.
"I know. That’s why I said it’s impossible. You just looked so hot in that moment that I wanted to bang you and impregnate you," Amelia said shamelessly before widening her eyes when she realised what she said.
"I... "She quickly got up from her seat.
"I think I should leave," she said, not bothering about manners anymore as she rushed out of the dining room.
Realising what she said, Cyrus felt his lips twitching before he chuckled.
Fabian’s pupils dilated. It was a genuine laugh. They didn’t even remember the last time their King laughed like that.
His heart felt warm, and he smiled, happy for his king.
"Hey, you can’t leave. You are still injured," Cyrus said, getting up from his seat. He remembered that she was still wounded and needed food in her system to heal properly.
He rushed behind her.
When Amelia noticed he was following her, she shrieked like a baby and started running outside the palace.
However, as soon as she reached the door of the palace, she bumped into someone, the impact making her stumble and she would’ve fallen backwards on her butt if not for the man who held her right in time.
Amelia widened her eyes at the brown eyes that met hers with mixed intrigue and quickly stood straight.
"I am sorry, I didn’t –" She didn’t know what to say.
"What are you doing here?" Cyrus’s expression sobered, and his voice turned hard when he saw Cassius standing there along with his grandfather.
"You brat. After all the commotion you cause, you ask me why I am here? What did you do in the healers’ community?" Grayson shouted at Cyrus.
Seeing the old man get angry, Amelia quickly stood before Cyrus, spreading her arms to protect him.
"It’s not his fault, grandpa. He did it for me. And I won’t let you say anything to him. To scold him, you’ll have to go through me," Amelia said resolutely, pretty much confident and satisfied with the boldness in her voice.
Cyrus, whose gaze had sharpened at their presence, felt his lips twitching again at her boldness. She was injured, but continued with her ’I will protect you’ thing.
He shook his head before placing his hands under her armpits and lifting her like a baby.
"We got your point, big girl. Now finish your dinner," Cyrus said before placing her aside.
Grayson, who had arrived with intentions to scold his grandson, looked at the harmonious scene before him and didn’t know what to say.
He had never seen his grandson so relaxed. Did he see a faint smile on his lips—not a smirk, but a genuine smile?
He didn’t want to scold him anymore because that might end up with Cyrus sending him away. He wanted to stay here and watch a little bit more, be a part of this harmonious scene.
"I want to eat too," Grayson said like a child, and Cyrus looked at his grandfather.
"Then go to the palace and eat. We don’t have enough food," Cyrus said mercilessly, and Grayson’s face turned defeated.
Seeing his sad face, Amelia’s heart melted.
"We have. Come, grandpa," Amelia said, and Grayson smiled, grinning at Cyrus, more like teasing him before he followed Amelia inside the dining hall.
Cassius stood there, unsure if he should enter the palace since no one even dared to greet him.
Then again, Cyrus was never the welcoming one. He shrugged and entered the dining hall shamelessly.
