Reborn for Revenge: Find her Fated Alpha-Chapter 64: Resolution
Amelia looked at Alexia with resentment.
The memories from her last life, when she was sent to that brothel, resurfaced, and all those laughing faces that had mocked her while touching her in places she never thought she would allow a stranger to touch resurfaced in her head.
Her vision blurred for a second as helplessness paired with anxiousness made her body jerk in its place.
Amelia was fighting whatever chemical was injected into her body. The adrenaline rush fought against the synthetic chemical, and she groaned, her fingers twitching.
She had never thought that her little retaliation would result in this outcome. But if they expected her to bow down and take their bullying just like the last life, they were wrong.
Amelia’s body shivered as a muffled cry left her mouth.
She wasn’t going to let these rogues strip her down and do what they wanted to do just because she was weak.
There has to be a way. She couldn’t let these rogues taint her like this. She has promised her loyalty to King Cyrus. And if he found out she was tainted like this by these rogues, he might not want her later on.
Wasn’t that why he let her go when they met when she turned eighteen? He had that painful look on his face. He told her that it was unfortunate.
Maybe he wanted to keep her, but after hearing how she was sent to a brothel, he assumed that she was tainted and let her go.
She wouldn’t let that happen again.
Amelia cried inwardly.
’Please, Moon Goddess. Give me strength. I am not asking you to save me. You never do. Just give me enough strength to fight myself,’ Amelia prayed.
The dull ache she had felt in her wrist earlier, the reason she had asked Ryan to leave, reappeared.
For the first time since that mark appeared on her wrist, something only she could see, Amelia was happy to feel the pain.
Why?
It meant her body was fighting the chemicals, and that was why she could feel those sensations.
"We will thoroughly enjoy you," The rogue said before he grabbed her stockings and yanked them down.
Amelia’s pupils dilated before she took a deep breath. She tried opening her mouth to speak. It was hard. She could taste blood in her mouth from fighting the chemical off, but it was her only option.
"No!!" she screamed.
Tears rolled down her cheeks as her body started to move lightly, and she quickly pulled out the dagger from her dress’s pocket before holding its sharp end in her hand to make herself bleed.
Sitting in the corner to save herself from the rogues after the mishap she created in her arrogance, Alexia looked at Amelia’s resolute eyes and felt something move inside her.
Was she the same girl who used to take their bullying with silent tears falling from her eyes? Where did this courage come from?
"Are you going to stab us?" The rogues mocked Amelia when they saw her holding the dagger.
Amelia sniffed.
She didn’t intend to fight them. She was well aware of her situation and knew she could not fight the three rogues.
The reason she was making herself bleed was so that she could fight the chemical by keeping herself conscious, and because a wolf’s sense of smell was strong, and she was hoping for someone to smell her blood.
As if the rogues also realised what she was trying to do, they quickly lunged at her to snatch the dagger from her hand to stop her from bleeding further.
Amelia tightened her hold on the dagger, her eyes blazing with determination.
"I won’t let you harm me," Amelia seethed with difficulty.
Sparrow, who had been spying on her and had taken a small washroom break, returned to his position and furrowed his brows when he didn’t find the princess in her usual spot.
He had seen her routine and had gotten her timetable beforehand. Why was she not in the canteen or on the ground since it was her free lecture?
Did she go to the ladies washroom? He wondered and waited for some time.
However, when he still couldn’t find her, he opened his phone to locate her through the tapping device that he had placed on her backpack.
He followed the coordinates.
She was still at University. Then where?
He looked around and found her backpack lying on the third floor’s ground, and he immediately knew something was wrong.
Without a second thought, he saw if there were any CCTV cameras around.
He found a couple of them and rushed to the security room.
Thankfully, Fabian had given him the royal seal, which allowed him to access the majority of services while spying on the princess. He didn’t shy away from using the seal to persuade the guard to let him check the footage.
He looked through the footage and noticed the girl Alexia, their princess, had a truffle with earlier. A boy helped Alexia by injecting something into the Princess’s neck. He could see the syringe that was used, and his blood ran cold.
Even the security guard who saw what was happening froze.
It was his duty to ensure everything ran smoothly at the university.
"Sir, I don’t know who you are, but please help me find this girl before something happens. My job will be at risk," The security guard begged.
He had been under the impression that no student would dare to do anything because of the CCTV, but who would’ve thought there were still some daring people?
"Let’s see where she takes the girl first." Sparrow couldn’t use the word ’princess’ as they had decided not to reveal her identity, unsure if she was loyal to the werewolves yet or just a pawn from the healers’ side.
They started looking at the CCTV of the entire area to see where Alexia took her.
At the same time, in the secluded room, Amelia, who had bled enough and was starting to lose consciousness again, stood in the corner with her hand raised with a dagger before her.
"If you came near me, I won’t think twice before striking," she threatened the rogues while panting.
Alexia sat in the corner, scared to her wits as the rogues turned out to be more harmful than she had imagined.
"Oh, we are scared. We will die because of that," The rogue said before he lunged at the girl, and Amelia raised her hand before striking the man’s face.
"Aa!" The rogue’s scream was louder than Amelia’s and echoed in the corridor now.
The other two rogues widened their eyes when they realised the girl had struck their friend.
Consumed with anger, they didn’t think twice and rushed forward to teach Amelia a good lesson.
However, someone pushed them away from the girl before they could even lay a hand on her.
It happened so quickly that no one even realised what was happening until one of the rogues screamed again.
His hand was cut off as it fell on the ground.
The remaining rogue out of the three looked at the person who intervened.
Amelia, who was breathing heavily, looked up at the man who shielded her.
His broad chest was the first thing that came into view before she raised her head and looked at his face, which was covered in the hood.
Was he the same man who always saved her?
"Are you okay?" He asked, his voice deep and familiar.
However, before Amelia could ask how he arrived here, the man before her removed his hood, and her pupils dilated.
"You?" she asked before her legs gave up.
