Reborn: Earth Online-Chapter 74 - 75: Rage
Kaden did not remember what exactly happened in the next few seconds. It was all a blur.
The healing from the [Sanguine Roots] flowed through him like a river of fire, his wounds closing, his pain fading, his strength returning in full force. Whatever was causing this surge of power, he would gladly take it. He would use it. He would win.
The second thorn spear in his hand glowed golden. He was not sure why. He did not care. So much energy was rushing to his body that it made him feel giddy with various emotions.
He felt as tall as an oak, as strong as the dragon bleeding in front of him. He was someone who had the world at his feet. Puny little insects shouldn’t even come near him. He was invincible. He was a god and he needed to slaughter.

A lofty pride, an unquenchable thirst for blood, blinding rage, and bottomless greed, all assaulted him at the same time as he repeatedly stabbed the dragon again and again and again. Where he stabbed no longer mattered as his thorn spear struck the beast with ease.
The dragon’s body shuddered, its wings flapping wildly as it thrashed against the [Sanguine Roots], the golden flames blazing around its form, its remaining eye filled with desperation.
It roared, the sound echoing through the Bone Pit, the ground quaking beneath its fury. It knew it was trapped. It knew it was losing.
But it would not go down easily. Its claws scraped against the ground, its muscles coiling as it fought to break free, its remaining paltry essence flaring as it prepared to unleash one final attack.
Kaden wasn’t going to give it the chance. He stabbed it repeatedly without any hesitation. Blood sprayed everywhere and pieces of shattered scale and chunks of flesh rained down around him as the thorn spear tore through the dragon’s body again and again.
Blood splattered across his face, his arms, his chest, soaking him in the Essence of the dying beast.
But Kaden did not flinch. He did not stop. He did not care. The world was red, blazing with fire, burning with power, vibrating with fury. He could feel his strength growing, his body blazing with energy, his soul igniting with fire. He was invincible. He was unstoppable. He was a god.
His laughter echoed through the Bone Pit, wild and maniacal, reverberating off the jagged stone walls, mixing with the dragon’s dying roars.
With a roar that echoed through the Bone Pit, Kaden drove the spear deeper, the jagged thorns blazing with golden fire, the vines spiraling around the shaft, tightening around the dragon’s heart.
The dragon’s body convulsed, its golden eye wide with shock, its wings flapping wildly as the light flickered, the flames growing weaker, dimmer, fainter.
And just as he was about to thrust the spear forward for the last time, suddenly a blinding golden flash erupted from the dragon’s chest, a burst of light so powerful that it shattered the air, the shockwave blasting through the Bone Pit, tearing through reality itself.
The force of the explosion hurled Kaden backward, his body slamming into the rock wall, the jagged stone digging into his flesh, the golden light blinding his vision, the energy vibrating through his bones.
His laughter died in his throat, his body trembling as he watched the nearly dead legendary beast disappear right in front of his eyes. The beast completely vanished without leaving any trace.
Madness and fury filled Kaden. The dragon was his to kill. It was an impossible fight and he had almost won it but right at the last second, his prey was ripped away from him. It was his victory. His prey. His power. And now, it was gone. This was unacceptable!
A roar of rage tore from Kaden’s throat, echoing through the Bone Pit, shaking the jagged stone walls, and vibrating through the air. The golden light crackled around him, his greed gnawing at his sanity, his wrath blinding his vision.
He was supposed to be victorious. He was supposed to be unstoppable. He was supposed to be a god. But now, he was empty. Hollow. Incomplete.
His fingers curled into fists, his nails digging into his palms, his blood dripping to the shattered ground. His gaze then darted to the terror-inducing skeletal tiger that was wounded and cast aside like a nobody. He charged at the beast with the golden spear still in his hand.
The skeletal tiger’s violet eyes flared with shock, its hollow sockets filled with fear. It used its last ounce of strength to block the spear and then sent the thing hurling away. But Kaden did not stop there.
He used the raw power surging in his hands to grab the skeleton of the tiger and started tearing apart bones one by one. The already wounded tiger had nothing to fight back. It could only scream in agony as it experienced an extremely painful and slow death.
