Chapter 298: Chapter 298: Butterfly Flame Dance

She possesses both the purity of a youthful girl and the grace of a woman.

Jonah Hawthorne was deep in thought.

Perhaps he had been too stubborn before, always feeling that he was the one who hurt Sloane Hawthorne.

So, he had always forgotten that his sister in the past two years wasn’t entirely in pain.

"I was being too stubborn before..."

Jonah Hawthorne sighed with emotion.

"It’s good that you can figure it out now."

Just as Selena Kensington said this, Sloane Hawthorne had finished her practice.

She came over.

"Sister!"

Sloane Hawthorne exclaimed joyfully.

Completely disregarding Jonah Hawthorne beside her.

Jonah felt a bit sour, now his sister didn’t cling to him anymore, the first person she saw was Selena Kensington.

"Morning has grown up, can’t even see her brother anymore."

Sloane was a bit speechless, "Bro, I did call you right when you arrived, okay!"

Selena Kensington chuckled lightly.

"How was the practice?"

Sloane’s gaze immediately shifted from Jonah to Selena.

She excitedly said, "The dance choreographed for me by the dance teacher fits very well, I’ve almost got it down now."

Perhaps she was regaining the feeling from before, Sloane was exceptionally enthusiastic.

Selena thought of Hugh Kensington’s earlier comment, "Which song is this dance set to?"

Sloane was taken aback, then answered, "It’s Susan Linton’s ’Allure’."

’Allure’, huh.

Selena had heard the song before, and when she tried composing, she learned a lot from Susan Linton’s songs.

"Can you perform it once now?"

Selena asked.

Sloane nodded, "Of course."

She had practiced quite a bit, only a few details needed more work.

Having said that, Sloane returned to the center of the practice room.

Selena played the music for her,

As the music started, Sloane immediately got into the zone.

She held a long veil in her hand, and the moment Susan Linton’s voice echoed, she swung the veil out.

With the tip of her foot lightly touching the ground, her whole body followed the music, spinning and leaping.

Her long arms were slender, the faint red of the veil clung to her arms as if it had a life of its own.

When swung out, it was piercing and murderous, when retracted, it was tender and graceful.

Her eyes were pure yet full of charm.

Just as the piece was about to end, her toes gently tapped the ground and she took off like a butterfly spreading its wings.

The long veil fluttered slightly as the wind blew through the window.

"Clap, clap, clap!"

As the piece ended, Selena Kensington and Jonah Hawthorne applauded her.

"Sister, was it okay?"

Sloane asked nervously.

Selena nodded affirmatively, "The dance was good, just the song was a bit off."

"The song ’Allure’ speaks of the fleeting beauty of a woman, like a flower that blooms brilliantly and then withers quickly."

"It doesn’t quite match the Butterfly Flame Dance."

Sloane nodded as well, "But this is the most suitable one Hugh could find, the others..."

"You keep practicing, there’s no rush on that."

"Send me your dance video later, I’ll see if I can compose a song for it."

Sloane’s eyes lit up, "Sure!"

Selena paused for a moment, "Sloane, have you ever learned to sing?"

Sloane felt a premonition, "Sister, you want..."

Selena nodded in agreement, "Your voice is very unique, if possible, I’d like you to sing it yourself."

"I... but I’ve never learned before."

Sloane spoke up.

"It’s okay, you can start practicing with a vocal teacher first."

"I might... um, need to go out for a while recently."
