Chapter 98: Trouble at Drakamir City

Three days later, Zora finished packing and quietly left the Prince’s Manor.

The Imperial Academy lay far away. The journey itself would take time, and she had already agreed to meet two instructors. Being late was not an option.

Nigel would be traveling with Philip and Sapphire. Originally, he had invited Zora to join them two days earlier, but she had declined.

After all, her relationship with Philip was anything but harmonious. Traveling together would only invite unnecessary trouble. Going alone was far more comfortable.

Nigel understood her situation without complaint and simply agreed to meet her once they arrived at the academy.

The road ahead was long.

Back to the present, Zora continued to travel on her horse, alone.

As for Shihtzu, her new demon pet, she placed it into the Ring of Chaos as storage pouches could only store inanimate objects, while the Ring of Chaos could accommodate living beings.

At its current size, Shihtzu was still far too young to accompany her on the road.

During this period, however, Zora, Black, and White had all noticed something unusual. Shihtzu’s growth rate was astonishingly fast.

Especially after consuming demon crystals, its body grew at a visible pace. Once she confirmed this, Zora began feeding it demon crystals daily.

She was certain that it would not take long before Shihtzu truly matured.

As for Origin Medical Hall, Zora handed it over to Silver and Storm, the two apprentice physicians, to manage.

Both of them possessed genuine talent in medicine. She had already given them her medical manuals. As long as they studied diligently, handling ordinary patients would not be a problem.

Before leaving, Zora also bid farewell to Eric Welsh, the first friend she had made in the Holy Mystic Continent.

Thus, on a quiet night, she departed from the Imperial City and embarked on her journey toward the academy.

*

Time passed slowly on the road.

Though she encountered a few minor troubles along the way, Zora resolved them all with ease thanks to her strength.

One day, she arrived at the outskirts of Drakamir City. The dry rations she had prepared were nearly exhausted, so she stopped to replenish her supplies.

The next stretch of mountain road was desolate and uninhabited. Once she left this city, buying food again would not be easy.

However, just as Zora finished her purchases and stepped out, five figures suddenly surrounded her.

"Hand over all your money!" one of them barked.

Zora raised an eyebrow slightly.

The outskirts of the city were always chaotic, but she hadn’t expected to run into a robbery the moment she arrived.

She slowly turned around, calmly sizing up the five men before her. "Robbery?"

When Rudolph clearly saw Zora’s face, a greedy glint flashed through his eyes. "Oh? I didn’t expect such a beauty."

The other four men also fixed their gazes on her, eyes lighting up in unison.

Such beauty was rare. Far more striking than the so-called famous girls in this area.

"Little beauty," Rudolph said with a leering grin, "it’s dangerous for a woman to travel alone. Why don’t you come back with me? I guarantee good food, good wine, and a comfortable life. How about it?"

As he spoke, he reached out to touch Zora’s face.

A trace of disgust flashed through her dark eyes. She stepped back calmly, her voice icy and clear.

"I’ll give you three seconds to disappear from my sight. Otherwise, you’ll bear the consequences."

For a brief moment, Rudolph and the others were stunned. Then they burst out laughing.

"Hahaha!" Rudolph roared. "What did I just hear? This little beauty wants us to suffer the consequences?"

"Yeah," another man chuckled, "looks like a feisty one. Rudolph, better be careful."

Rudolph’s laughter slowly faded. He stared at Zora with narrowed eyes. "I’m very curious," he said coldly, "how exactly are you planning to make me regret it?"

The onlookers nearby glanced at Rudolph, then at Zora, surrounded by five men, sympathy written all over their faces.

"Poor thing. Another girl about to be ruined by Rudolph and his gang."

"She’s probably just passing through. Didn’t expect such bad luck."

"Lower your voice," someone whispered urgently. "If Rudolph hears you, you’ll be the next one in trouble."

Although everyone sympathized with Zora, not a single person stepped forward to help.

No one here dared to provoke that group of scoundrels.

The corner of Zora’s lips curved into a cold arc as she spoke calmly, her voice flat and merciless. "Three."

Seeing her actually start counting down, Rudolph and the others’ expressions darkened.

This woman clearly had no intention of giving them any face.

"Two."

"One."

"Scram!"

The icy word rang out, sharp as a blade. Her dark eyes surged with killing intent.

The moment her voice fell, an inexplicable chill swept through the area.

Rudolph was momentarily stunned. This woman was truly different from the others he had encountered.

But this was his territory.

Rudolph reached out and grabbed Zora’s wrist, a shameless grin spreading across his face. "I won’t leave. What are you going to do about it?"

"You dare grab my hand..."

Zora’s hand twisted in swift movement and seized his hand in return. In the next instant, her aura exploded, her movement as swift as lightning.

What she despised most were such shameless rogues, men who lived by harassing others.

Judging from the expressions of the surrounding people, she could already imagine how many girls had suffered at their hands.

Crack!

A crisp sound rang out.

Rudolph’s wrist was instantly crushed by Zora, twisted at an unnatural angle.

Blood splattered onto the ground as a shrill, pig-like scream erupted from his throat.

"Ah!"

Rudolph stared at her in horror. He had never imagined this delicate-looking woman could be so ruthless.

"Save me!"

The four men beside him reacted at once, rushing toward Zora.

She kicked Rudolph aside and moved in a blur, engaging the remaining four.

These men were merely at the early stage of the Earth Realm.

Against ordinary people, they might seem formidable, but against her, they were nothing more than paper tigers.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The sound of fists colliding echoed through the street, mixed with miserable screams.

In the blink of an eye, all five men were piled together on the ground, writhing like overturned turtles, their earlier arrogance completely gone.

The surrounding crowd stared in shock.

For years, Rudolph and his gang had run rampant here, bullying people without restraint. Everyone had suffered in silence.

Who would have thought that such a terrifying group would be taken down by a lone young woman?

"Get lost."

Zora’s cold shout rang out.

Dealing with such trash was already dirtying her hands.

Hearing her words, Rudolph and the others scrambled up like startled rats and fled in panic, glancing back repeatedly in fear, terrified that she might pursue them.

"Trying to take advantage of the master? They really had a death wish," Black grumbled angrily.

White snorted. "Bullies like them only prey on the weak. Not worth bothering over."

Zora smiled faintly. From beginning to end, she had never taken those men seriously.

At that moment, a burly man stepped forward and said anxiously, "Miss, there’s someone backing Rudolph. You injured him today; he won’t let this go. You should leave quickly!"

The others nodded in agreement.

"Yes, miss, you should go. Don’t stay here!"

Zora was not surprised.

With Rudolph’s mediocre strength, he could only bully people so openly because someone powerful stood behind him. Otherwise, the townsfolk would never have tolerated his tyranny.

"Thank you for the warning. I’ll be on my way."

Zora smiled faintly. She did not take Rudolph seriously, but lingering here would only bring trouble to innocent townsfolk and waste her time.

Besides, such vermin were not worth her time.

She swung onto her horse. The crimson glow of sunset spilled over her figure, tinting her robes with a warm red sheen and lending an added touch of brilliance to her already striking features.

With a flick of the whip, Zora rode out of the City.

By the time Rudolph finally gathered his men and returned to seek revenge, he found nothing but empty streets.

The woman was gone.

His face twisted with rage.

He had always been the one bullying others. When had anyone dared to bully him instead?

No matter what, he swore to find that woman and make her understand the price of offending him.
