Chapter 180: Four versus One (Part-1)

Adrian didn’t keep them in suspense. His eyes sparkled as he said, "I checked carefully. Right now, in the special enrollment dormitory, there’s only Zora alone!"

The moment those words fell, Gabriel’s gaze snapped sharply onto Adrian.

"Only Zora alone? How is that possible?" 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

Silvan frowned in doubt. "Raphael, Alaric Von Seraph, and the others have always been staying there. There’s no way they’d all leave her behind."

Yet, as the words lingered in the air, a dangerous light quietly surfaced in Gabriel’s eyes.

Seeing that no one believed him, Adrian raised his voice, his expression turning grave.

"I’m telling the truth! I’ve been hiding near the special enrollment dormitory. I personally saw Raphael, Alaric Von Seraph, Sylvandria, and Baldwin leave together. Not long after that, Prince Kael also went out. The moment I saw him leave, I rushed back to tell you!"

At those words, Gabriel and the others exchanged glances. A spark of delight flashed across their faces.

On normal days, with Prince Kael and the others around, they never had the chance to make a move against Zora.

But now... she was alone.

Wasn’t this a heaven-sent opportunity?

"We go to the special enrollment dormitory. Now!"

Gabriel slammed the table and stood up. The gloom that had weighed on his face all day finally cracked, revealing a dangerous glint.

As long as he could force Zora to hand over the medicine that restored his strength, everything could still be salvaged!

If not, she will have to pay it with her life.

Even if Zora gets assassinated right now, the blame would be shifted to Cassian instead, as he is the one who was truly humiliated.

*

A while later;

Just as Zora stepped out of the special enrollment dormitory, she saw Gabriel and his three companions blocking her path. They seemed like they were charging toward her, faces twisted with anger.

Her lips curved lazily. Crossing her arms, she looked at the four of them with open mockery.

"Well now, haven’t you embarrassed yourselves enough today? Back for another beating?"

"Zora, don’t get cocky!" Clarissa snapped. "Gabriel is here now. Let’s see how arrogant you can still be!"

Zora’s gaze settled calmly on Gabriel. As she studied him more closely, she noticed the resemblance between him and Serestia, the one she killed after an argument at the Auction.

"So you’re Gabriel, huh?"

Her voice was flat, indifferent, devoid of emotion.

Clarissa and the others had caused trouble again and again, all to vent anger on his behalf. Today, she finally met the man himself.

"Zora," Gabriel said coldly, his face dark, "hand over the antidote. Now. Otherwise, don’t blame me for being ruthless!"

Time was not on his side. He didn’t know when Prince Kael and the others would return. If he delayed any longer, the ones in danger would be them.

Zora frowned slightly, confusion flickering in her dark eyes. "Antidote?"

Not only her, but even Clarissa and the others also looked bewildered. Since when had Gabriel been poisoned?

Seeing her "ignorant" expression, Gabriel’s anger flared. "The antidote for the medicine!"

A trace of cold amusement surfaced in Zora’s eyes. Her lips curved into a soft, mocking smile.

"So it was you who ate the medicine. And I wondered how your henchmen seemed completely fine. So, how did it feel? Last night must be the most memorable night of your life..."

The casual mockingness in her tone made Gabriel’s face turn even uglier.

"Hand it over," he snarled, curling his hands into tight fists. "Or you’ll regret it!"

Clarissa and the others exchanged glances, completely lost. They had no idea what Gabriel and Zora were talking about.

"Gabriel... what antidote?" Clarissa asked hesitantly.

Gabriel ignored her entirely. He had no intention of explaining such a humiliating matter.

Zora chuckled softly, eyes gleaming with icy contempt.

"Regret?" she said lightly. "And how exactly will you make me regret it... when your strength has already dropped by two whole levels?"

Her tone was languid, arrogant, and utterly merciless.

Whether it was Gabriel or Serestia, she found them equally repulsive.

The moment those words fell, Clarissa sucked in a sharp breath. Her eyes flew to Gabriel, desperately hoping to see denial on his face.

But there was none.

Gabriel’s expression was dark as still water, his lips pressed tightly together. He said nothing.

That silence was answer enough.

"If you don’t hand over the antidote," Gabriel growled, every word dripping with venom, "I’ll kill you!"

His gaze was sharp and burning, like a blade slashing straight toward Zora.

This woman’s ruthlessness had far exceeded his expectations.

"Zora," Clarissa added through clenched teeth, her face turning ugly, "with just your strength, you’re no match for the four of us!"

Just as she uttered those words, something clicked in her head, and realization finally dawned on her.

The medicine.

It had to be the laxative medicine. So, Zora didn’t just give laxatives to Morgana but even to them as well.

That means Gabriel’s cultivation level has also dropped? She was taken aback for a moment.

Meanwhile, powerful auras surged from all four of them at once. Mana surged outward, stirring the air into violent waves.

"Blame your bad luck," Silvan sneered smugly. "If only you’d stayed by Prince Kael’s side... Too bad for you!"

On normal days, Zora always stood high above them, untouchable. Today, he could finally vent all that pent-up resentment.

Zora paused for half a heartbeat.

Earlier, Raphael and the others had invited her out, but she had been thinking about dealing with Cassian this night. She never expected Gabriel and his group to come knocking instead.

Then her lips curved.

A slow, enchanting smile bloomed across her face.

Perfect timing.

Dealing with Gabriel here would save her a lot of trouble later. And Cassian... he can be dealt with later, if her shameless husband hadn’t taken any action tonight...

Her calm, icy gaze then swept over the four of them. The moment they released their auras, she had already gauged their strength.

Gabriel and Adrian were both at the mid-stage of the Earth Realm.

Clarissa and Silvan were early-stage Earth Realm.

If Gabriel were at his original peak in Heaven Realm, she might have found it slightly troublesome.

But now?

Not enough to make her afraid.

"If you’re going to fight," she said lazily, impatience flickering between her brows, "then stop wasting time."

She still had another old fox to deal with tonight.

Her casual, dismissive attitude stunned Gabriel and the others.

Even if Zora was also mid-stage Earth Realm, she was facing four people. How could she still be this arrogant?

"Attack!"

Gabriel’s eyes flashed with savage light. Since she refused to yield, he had no intention of holding back.

Clarissa and the others moved at once, charging straight toward Zora!

"Master, let us join too!"

Black’s eyes sparkled with excitement, battle intent bursting forth.

Zora hesitated for an instant, then nodded. There was no one else around. Revealing them wouldn’t cause any trouble.

"Fine. End it quickly."

Her voice was cold and decisive. These people were already mortal enemies. Leaving them alive would only invite endless trouble.

"Yes!"

Black and White nodded enthusiastically. Finally, they could make a proper appearance!

In the next instant, right before the shocked eyes of Gabriel’s group, two round, fluffy balls suddenly popped into view.

Adrian froze, staring blankly. "What the hell is that cushion?"

He had lived for years, yet he had never seen creatures like these before.

Adrian hadn’t even figured out what was happening when Black was already on him.

Boom!

A white blur flashed before his eyes. His head took a brutal hit, and his body flew backward, smashing to the ground without the slightest resistance.

"Who are you calling a cushion?" Black planted a paw squarely on Adrian’s head, grinding it down with righteous fury. "Your whole family is cushion!"

It hated that word most.

Black snarled. "My name is Black!"

Adrian felt dizzy, the sensation painfully familiar.

This was exactly like that time in the cultivation tower, when Zora’s attack had landed before he could even react.

Silvan’s mouth twitched.

A white, fluffy ball... called Black?

Was there a more misleading name in the world?

Before that thought could finish forming, White was already charging in.

Same trajectory.

Same flash of motion.

And same bone-rattling impact.

Silvan crashed to the ground, blood instantly streaming from his nose. His face met White’s body as the little creature casually stomped down, the crunch of a nose bone sounding far too clear.

"Who... who are you?" Silvan groaned through the pain.

"Hmph. Little Master won’t tell you." White shot him a frosty glance, full of disdain.

"Don’t tell me..." Silvan wheezed, staring at the black ball. "You’re called White?"

"How did you know?" White blinked.

Silvan’s nose started bleeding even faster.
