"Just as you ordered. For two."

The driver who was meant to be the one in charge of steering the boat uttered as he stepped to the side, his head bowed with respect.

Dorian was standing at the very front of the boat, Yahoshi right next to him, refusing to let go of his hand.

"Thank you." Dorian uttered to the driver, then he looked at Yahoshi, taking hold of one of her hands.

"A-Are you not ready to get in?" he asked.

She had been holding him for so long that he was beginning to wonder if she even intended on doing anything else.

Yahoshi was silent for a while, her eyes scanning the expanse of the land.

From what she could see, there were multiple other couples who had gotten on boats and were riding through the beautiful sights of fireflies and the lanterns lit across the surface of the water.

"I find it hard to believe that you thought about all this yourself. You were never the romantic type." She paused. "Did having a wife influence you so much?"

Dorian seemed panicked at the sudden question, but he was quick to give a fitting response, one that would at least not lead to an escalation.

"Is that to say you want me to stop?" he asked.

Once again, silence settled for a while.

"I'd like to ride the boat."

A relieved, exhausted smile played on Dorian's face.

"Very well then."

Grabbing hold of her surprisingly delicate hand, he slowly moved her toward the boat that was already being steadied by three other workers to stop it from tumbling over once the weight got too much.

As soon as Yahoshi was seated inside the boat, he stretched his foot and got in as well, sitting down at the opposite side where he could easily see her face.

Ciel and Lili were seated at the top of a rooftop, their eyes solely fixed on Dorian's location.

As ordered by him, Ciel and Lili were to only watch from afar.

They were not to make any type of move from that moment on, and most of these orders were something Dorian issued to them telepathically.

"I really don't trust that woman one bit." Lili was the first to speak, her eyes filled with so much hatred and disdain that it was hard for anyone to say otherwise.

She proceeded.

"Aren't witches sworn enemies of dragons? Why aren't you angry seeing Master acting all friendly with her?" Lili looked toward Ciel.

And she was right.

Ciel looked calm. Unbothered.

It was quite normal to see Ciel rarely getting fazed by most things; that said, this was not one of those things Lili expected to see the same behaviors from.

Ciel was quiet for a while, contemplating whether or not to give Lili's curiosity the answer she was looking for.

Eventually, she gave in, no longer able to tolerate the constant stares she was getting from Lili.

"I will not act, because my Master commanded me so. There doesn't have to be any other reason."

"Are you saying you're not pissed?" asked Lili as she leaned in closer, her face only mere inches away.

Without even wasting a single second, Ciel placed her palm right in front of Lili's face and pushed her away.

"Of course I am pissed. I have already heard stories of the actions the witch had taken against my Master in the past; how could I not be pissed about that? That said, it is not my place to act, neither is it yours, so just stay put and do as you are told."

Hearing Ciel's less friendly response, Lili could only turn her gaze away, her cheeks puffed up while pouting.

Meanwhile, the boat Dorian and Yahoshi were seated in had already begun to sail, moving past the rest of the boats that were riding in the same water.

Rather than having a driver standing at the forefront of the boat and driving it, Dorian chose to do that by himself, using his water magic to steer the water toward whatever direction he wanted to take.

And he did that for a reason too.

He was finally alone with her, away from prying ears.

"Yahoshi." Dorian called out, a serious look playing on his face.

Before he could say anything else, Yahoshi already picked up on it, having somewhat of an idea about what he wanted to say.

"Are you enjoying your life here?"

She immediately asked, causing Dorian to halt the words that were about to leave his mouth earlier.

"Am I enjoying myself?" He took a while to ponder on the question. "I guess you could say so."

"I see." Yahoshi kept her eyes on him. "Is that to say, if I offered to take you back to our world, would you refuse? To be with me again, like we used to. Just the two of us."

Dorian had dealt with Yahoshi and her drama for most of his life; however, even he could not fully understand what she meant, or rather, the intention behind her words.

"I have a better question. How is the woman I once dated being called the Witch God in this world? What are you? Is this a new thing? Did you also get sucked into this world forcefully like I was?"

"..."

"Listen. Right now, there are many people who harbor deep hatred toward the witches, most especially the Witch God herself. I have managed to stall them with empty hopes, but that can only go so far before they lose it."

Dorian continued. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

"After all, it won't be long before they are aware of the power I wield. To make matters worse, I don't think the King of Lumberg is planning to stop her attacks anytime soon."

"That one. I see her future. She doesn't live to give birth to that child." Yahoshi blurted out.

Her statement caught him off guard, so much so that he became speechless for a good while, simply staring into Yahoshi's dead eyes.

"A-Are you really Yahoshi? I am only trying to help you, regardless of what had happened. I don't know you to be a killer.

Did you reincarnate into the body of the Witch God or something? If that is the case, you can tell me, and I can easily clear your name. If you would just open up and let me understand what is going on."

"This is exactly why I love you. You will always choose to help me, no matter the issue, time, or place. My own and very own superhero."

At this point, Yahoshi had slightly gotten up from where she was seated and was leaning toward Dorian, a growing sadistic smile on her face.

"How can I let you go if you keep doing this? It's not fair, is it?"

She got even closer, placing her hands on both sides of the boat while she looked Dorian in the eye, her cheeks beet red.

Dorian on the other hand didn't seem all that moved by it. However, that was merely a front.

"If you really want to help me like you claim, then come home with me. Let us go home, and leave this forsaken world behind us. They don't deserve you, Jacob. Yet they act like they do. They are insects. A god should not bother with insects, my love."
