With the project completed, they ran a couple of more tests to make sure it was working well and had no issues.

As far as they were concerned, as long as there was a constant flow of crude oil from the Red District, then the machine would keep transporting vehicles at a higher rate.

The team proceeded to build the same thing in multiple other regions of the Sualan Nation, expanding their reach to cities after cities. After all, the King had already signed the contract that granted them access to it.

It wasn't a contract Terence chose to sign by force.

But after reading the content inside and how desperately his son was begging, he chose to adhere to it.

Only for him to find out later on that a single page had been intentionally stuck to the other, and that page was where most of the agreement was written.

Inasmuch as he wanted to voice his anger, he could not, as whatever issue he had could not be resolved by the law if there was no proof whatsoever.

In less than two weeks, the entire production was stable, and goods could be seen entering the Sualan Nation and being distributed.

From the clothes and food from the Momentli Home to the electric grid being ordered from the government, and even the countless other products that Lumberg had to offer.

In just two weeks, they had grown famous around the continent, with multiple other nations wanting to have their hands on the transportation machine to help them reduce the cost of travel while also being one of the first few kingdoms to get their hands on the so-called magic technology.

….

Meanwhile….

"Nooooo! It's today?!!! No no no! Nooo!"

Seraphina knelt on the ground, tears hanging at the corners of her eyes as she watched Dorian slowly get dressed by Ishtar.

Maria was asleep in the other room. She was nearing very close to childbirth, which also meant she needed to be watched 24/7. This time, Dorian's mother, Stella, had chosen to bear that role.

Leaving that, Dorian turned to look at Seraphina as Ishtar helped him adjust his tie.

"I also didn't expect her to send her witches to me, just to tell me the date has to happen today. She didn't say anything for the two weeks that passed, so I assumed she was waiting for me to do something about it. Looks like she got impatient."

"Girls do not like to be kept waiting. But she is a witch, so my husband doesn't need to worry much about treating her right." Ishtar smiled, still helping him straighten his black royal outfit.

Seraphina whimpered a bit, the thought now slowly haunting her the more she thought about it.

"But why does she want a date? It's not like she is going to get anything out of this if she sees you or something."

"We don't exactly know her motive, so it's best we don't jump to conclusions. I intend to use every second of this date to gather as much information as I can from her. Otherwise, it will be for nothing."

Finally, Ishtar was done dressing him.

He turned to look at Seraphina fully; the conviction on his face was undeniable.

"Worst-case scenario, I would be forced to duke it out with her there in the streets. But you don't have to look so worried. Do you think I would lose to the Evernight Witch?"

Seraphina shook her head.

"See? There is obviously nothing to worry about."

Seraphina didn't utter any word after that. Instead, she only looked to the ground with a sad look on her face, her thoughts sweeping further than the room could contain.

Dorian did notice it and figured it had to be the fact she was still worried.

Just when he wanted to move closer to her so he could comfort her, Ishtar hugged him from behind, immediately stopping him dead in his tracks.

"So, how do you intend to handle this date of yours? Last time I checked, you never took me on a date, and you did so for Seraphina and Maria while I was busy helping you with your portal thingy. You're so unfair to me."

"I promise I'll set a private date for us right after this issue has been resolved." Dorian had a nervous look on his face when he replied.

"A promise is a promise. Don't break it."

Ishtar pulled away from him.

"It's almost sunset. You might want to head to your date now."

She sat on the bed, wiggling her feet with a smile on her face, almost as though she was teasing him despite the fact it was obvious Dorian was taking the entire thing a little too seriously.

He looked outside the window and figured Ishtar was right; the sun was already setting, and he was supposed to meet with her soon.

'Dammit. I still need to confirm the orders we received today. Sigh. This entire thing is really bumming me out.' Dorian scratched the back of his head, a bit frustrated.

Clearing his mind, he turned around and headed for the door, grabbing the doorknob to pull it open.

But just before he stepped outside, he paused and looked back at his two wives.

"I'll be back. Please don't do anything to make this worse."

"I promise we won't tail you, or send soldiers to tail you either," Ishtar raised her hand up to express her innocence.

Dorian smiled nervously.

"Thank you."

He noticed Seraphina still had the sad look on her face. There wasn't enough time for Dorian to convince her that all was well, so he simply nodded and headed out of the room.

Immediately after he was done, Ishtar crossed her legs and looked at Seraphina with a knowing stare.

"Would you look at that? It's not every day that Seraphina looks so sad. I wonder what could be the problem. If you were jealous, it would be one thing, but what could you possibly be sad for?"

Seraphina slowly looked up.

Meeting Ishtar's expression, a wide smile and eyes filled with deep curiosity.

"You know something, don't you?"
