"O... oi!" Javier laughed, jumping up from where he was leaning just in time to avoid the cloud of dust and pebbles that scattered where he’d been sitting.
He looked at Buddy and smiled.
"Buddy."
"Cuquawked?" Buddy glanced at him.
"I’m going to my workshop now," Javier said, slipping one hand into his pocket while raising the other in a casual wave over his shoulder as he turned and walked toward the small, sturdy building.
"Cuquawked!" Buddy squawked once in acknowledgment, watching him for a moment before returning to preening his feathers as Javier reached the main door.
Javier placed his hand on the glowing rune lock and channeled a pulse of his mana. The door slid open with a soft hiss, and he stepped inside, leaving it slightly ajar for Liana and the others to enter later.
Once inside, he stopped by the main crafting table.
He snapped his fingers and opened his dimensional storage, carefully taking out an ornate wooden box filled with various gems, crystals, and unique materials. He then retrieved another small box containing refined adamantite, gold ore, and mithril ore, placing both on the table.
He pulled the chair closer and sat down slowly, his gaze thoughtful.

He sifted through the gems, picking out several choices before smiling softly.
