Chapter 1067: Under a Star-Dusted Sky ( 1067 )

After a while.

Javier, who had fallen asleep, was gently woken by Liana.

"Young master...?"

"Hmm?" Javier slowly removed his arm from his eyes and stirred, noticing Mimi was fast asleep on his chest, drooling slightly.

"Munya munya~ Nya~ I can’t eat anymore~" she mumbled in her sleep.

Javier exhaled and tried to carefully lift Mimi off him, but her grip tightened in her sleep.

"Nya~ Don’t run, husband-sama~ We’re going to the wedding hall~"

Felicia bit her lower lip and gave Mimi’s head a light, sharp smack.

Mimi yelped, both hands flying to rub the spot where Felicia had hit.

"Nya! Who hit me!?" Mimi glanced around, but the others just looked away innocently.

Mimi narrowed her eyes and hissed, still rubbing her head.

Javier glanced around and noticed through the viewport that the sun had already set, the sky a deep indigo dotted with stars.

"Hmm? Liana?"

"Yes, young master?" Liana said with a soft smile.

"How long was I asleep?" Javier yawned and stretched his arms, feeling the stiffness in his shoulders.

Liana smiled. "About two hours, young master~"

Gloria chuckled softly. "I think it was closer to three."

Javier’s eyes widened. "Ehhh!? I slept that long?"

"Mhm... you did, husband." Felicia said while taking out her handkerchief and gently dabbing at the damp spot on Javier’s clothes where Mimi had drooled.

"Why didn’t you wake me up?" Javier asked, running a hand through his hair.

"We didn’t want to, Danna-sama~ You looked so tired," Delya said, helping Felicia clean the spot on his clothes.

Javier exhaled. "What if I didn’t set the coordinates properly? What if this drone just kept flying?"

Liana just smiled. "We weren’t worried about that, young master. I know you prepare for everything. And even if we flew somewhere unknown, I’m sure you’d find a way back~"

Javier shook his head and sat up, stretching his arms wide before adjusting the pilot seat back to its upright position. He began pressing a sequence of runes on the console.

"You’re all lucky this huge transport drone can hover in place indefinitely," he said, a hint of amusement in his voice.

The drone responded smoothly, its stabilizers glowing softly as it began a slow, controlled descent, lowering until it hovered a short, steady distance above the calm, dark surface of the sea.

Javier stood and walked toward the side door, pressing another rune to open it. The hatch slid aside with a smooth hiss, revealing the vast, star-dusted ocean stretching to the horizon.

He glanced over his shoulder, his eyes gleaming with pride and excitement. "You all ready to witness my new invention? The start of something... historic?"

Liana smiled warmly, Gloria chuckled softly, Felicia and Mimi nodded with eager anticipation, and Delya wore a dreamy, enchanted smile.

Javier raised his palm toward the dark water, channeling his mana. The air around his hand shimmered with concentrated energy.

A colossal shape began to materialize, A warship of impossible scale and sleek, predatory design dropped from the air and struck the water with a thunderous, controlled impact, sending a massive plume of spray into the night air.

Twin forward-mounted mana cannons glowed with restrained power along the bow, while rows of vertical launch cells lined the deck. Anti-air mana gatling turrets were positioned at strategic points, and a central command tower rose like a spire of polished silver and dark enchanted glass.

Javier lowered his hand, a satisfied grin spreading across his face.

"This," Javier said, his voice filled with quiet triumph, "is the Dawnbreaker. Our ride home."

"Young master?" Liana moved to his right side and asked softly.

"Hmm? Yes?" Javier kept both hands on his hips, watching the new warship, the Dawnbreaker, now floating serenely on the dark sea. He glanced at Liana.

"This GAASAD-1..." Liana said with a low chuckle, glancing at Javier, "will it be able to land properly on that... um... ’Dawnbreaker’~?"

"Yeah, yeah. I know I’m bad at naming." Javier exhaled, a sheepish grin tugging at his lips. "But don’t worry, this huge transport drone can land on the back of my Dawnbreaker." He said, wiggling his eyebrows playfully.

Javier raised his palm again, and several of his puppet knights materialized on the deck of the warship below. They moved with precise, synchronized efficiency, activating systems and checking stations. The ship’s lights flickered on, soft, glowing mana crystals illuminating the deck, the command tower, and the weapon mounts in a cool, steady light.

"Alright. Time for us to land my GAASAD-1 on my Dawnbreaker~" Javier smirked, rubbing his palms together before striding smugly back toward the pilot’s area.

Javier guided the transport drone in a slow, sweeping arc toward the rear of the Dawnbreaker, where a wide, clearly marked landing pad was illuminated by soft blue guide lights.

"Alright, everyone," Javier said, a confident grin spreading across his face. "Hang tight and enjoy the ride. The auto-landing runes are perfectly calibrated, but where’s the fun in that? I’m doing this manually~"

Liana and the others quickly took their seats, securing themselves. Liana rolled her eyes fondly, Gloria adjusted her glasses with a small smile, Felicia and Mimi gripped their armrests with excited anticipation, and Delya just leaned back with a dreamy sigh, as if this were all part of a wonderful story.

The drone descended with a gentle hum, Javier’s hands moving smoothly over the control runes. The craft tilted slightly as he aligned it with the landing pad, then settled into a hover just above the deck. With a final, precise adjustment, the drone’s landing gear extended and touched down with a soft, solid thud, settling perfectly in the center of the pad.

Javier powered down the engines and turned in his seat, a triumphant look on his face.

"See? Smooth as silk."

Javier glanced toward the back and noticed Buddy and the other Pekko just staring at him, their large eyes full of silent accusation.

"Ahaha... sorry, Buddy... I didn’t mean to forget about you," Javier said, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.

"Cuquawked!!"

"Yeah, yeah... sorry, Buddy~"

Buddy turned his head and glared at him with one eye, a clear, feathered judgment.

"Alright... sorry, Buddy. I’ll treat you to grilled fish later, okay?"

"Cuquawked!!" Buddy puffed out his chest and nodded firmly, while the other Pekko perked up, their eyes gleaming at the mention of food. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

"Yeah... now that I think about it, you all haven’t eaten yet, right, Buddy?"

"Cuquawked!"

"Alright! We’re going fishing while this ship sails toward Armand!" Javier pumped his fist in the air, then strode out of the transport drone, the Pekko trotting eagerly behind him. Felicia, Mimi, and Delya followed, their expressions bright with excitement.

Meanwhile, Gloria and Liana looked at each other, shared a secret smile, and nodded subtly before falling into step a little behind the group.
