Chapter 1066: The Line Starts Here ( 1066 )

Javier walked with a measured, dignified pace, his posture straight and his movements fluid. Gloria followed a half-step behind, her own steps silent and precise.

The Tybalt maids and staff bowed their heads respectfully as he passed, their expressions a mix of awe and relief.

Once they stepped outside, Javier smiled at the sight of his Pekko. Buddy was waiting patiently, his large head turning to watch their approach.

"Cuquawked!!" Buddy stood and glanced down at Javier.

"Alright, Buddy. Let’s head home."

"Cuquawked?" Buddy tilted his head, then glanced down at Javier, who patted his neck and looked up at him.

"You want to do some sightseeing here first?"

"Cuquawked!" Buddy turned his head away with a dismissive snort, his expression clearly saying, No way! I’d rather be back at the estate eating grilled meat.

Javier chuckled as Buddy smugly strutted back toward the massive transport drone.

As Javier drew closer, he saw Liana and the others already waiting outside the drone.

Once he reached them, he smiled.

"Let’s go home, everyone."

"Eh?" Delya’s eyes gleamed. "Now?"

"Yeah, everything here is already handled. I don’t think there’s any need for us to stay longer. The Armand staff and officers will manage the rest from here."

"Okay~ Danna-sama~" Delya moved closer and hugged Javier’s arm, resting her cheek against his shoulder.

Javier kept walking, leading them all back up the ramp and into the drone’s spacious interior. The others followed, their earlier playful energy settling into a contented calm.

Once everyone was inside and all five Pekko settled comfortably, Javier took the pilot seat, pressed a sequence of runes, and the boarding ramp slowly closed with a soft hydraulic hiss.

The others took their seats nearby as the transport drone’s silent rotors began to spin, its stabilizers glowing with pale blue mana as the craft lifted gracefully from the Tybalt courtyard, rising smoothly into the evening sky.

Javier glanced down from the viewport and noticed Kayra standing below, her daughter Narcie waving excitedly with both hands, a bright smile on her face.

Javier waved back from the window.

"Ara~ Our young master has taken a liking to the little lady," Gloria teased, her eyes glinting with mischief.

Javier exhaled and glared at her. "No! I’m not like that!" he grumbled.

"Or perhaps the young master wants a child already? Oh~ how naughty~" Liana smirked and chuckled.

Javier narrowed his eyes at Liana. "No... Mother already warned me, no more grandchildren from her sons for now." He sighed. "Marcellus and Cedric’s partners are both already pregnant. She said that’s enough for this year."

Liana smiled knowingly, and Javier turned his focus back to the controls, setting coordinates for a point far out in the open sea, well beyond the sight of any land.

He pressed the auto-pilot rune, and the craft began moving smoothly on its set course. Javier leaned back in his chair and slumped, exhaling heavily.

"Man! This polite, royal, noble negotiation thing is exhausting."

Gloria smiled warmly. "You did wonderfully, young master. You handled it all like true royalty, calm, firm, and dignified."

"Yeah, yeah... posture perfect, speech formal, never slouch, never frown, never show a hint of irritation..." Javier grumbled, rolling his shoulders. "It’s like wearing armor all day."

Liana and Gloria both let out soft, musical laughs, hands covering their lips. Felicia just smiled and chuckled softly.

Mimi moved and settled onto Javier’s lap, facing him. "Ne~ ne~"

"Hmm?" Javier glanced into Mimi’s bright eyes, her tail swaying eagerly behind her.

"Husband-sama... are we going to the cruise thing now?" Mimi grinned, tilting her head.

"Yes... yes, we’re going there. We’re heading out to sea, far from any land, where it’s just us, the sky, and the water."

Liana narrowed her eyes toward Mimi. But before she could move, Felicia pulled Mimi from Javier’s lap and glared at her.

"Don’t cut in line yet!" she hissed toward Mimi.

"Nya! We haven’t even started the schedule yet, remember!? I’m just sitting on his lap!"

"Still, you’re ranked last. It was supposed to be me!" Felicia tried harder to pull Mimi away, but Mimi hugged Javier’s neck tightly.

"Nya!!!! Husband-sama!!!" Mimi gripped harder, burying her face in Javier’s shoulder.

Javier exhaled and looked up at Felicia. "Just let her for now. Don’t worry, I’ll make it up to you later."

Felicia glared hard at Mimi, who peeked at her from Javier’s shoulder and stuck out her tongue, her tail swaying victoriously.

"Danna-sama... what about me?" Delya asked softly from behind him.

"You too, Delya. Don’t worry." Javier said with a smile, glancing back at Delya, who was standing behind his chair.

"Mm... okay, Danna-sama~" Delya smiled, her expression softening.

Javier slowly adjusted the pilot seat, reclining it just enough so he could lie back slightly, one arm draped over his eyes.

Mimi giggled softly, contentedly settled on his lap, her tail swaying in a slow, lazy rhythm.

Felicia bit her lower lip and stealthily reached over to give Mimi’s thigh a sharp pinch.

Mimi yelped and turned her face to see who had pinched her, rubbing the spot with a pout.

"Nya! Someone pinched me!"

"Mimi... let me rest a bit... my head hurts," Javier murmured softly, his arm still covering his eyes.

"Nya... mm... okay... sorry." Mimi leaned her head back against Javier’s chest and settled down, though she kept a wary eye on Felicia.

Meanwhile, Liana exhaled quietly. Gloria leaned close to her ear and whispered something, her voice too low for the others to catch.

Liana’s eyes gleamed. She smirked and leaned in to whisper something back into Gloria’s ear, a conspiratorial glint in her expression. The two of them exchanged a look, then nodded subtly to each other, their hands resting calmly on their laps, small, knowing smiles playing on their lips.

Felicia watched them from the corner of her eye, her ears twitching slightly, but said nothing.

I wonder what they’re whispering about?

She tilted her head.

But knowing them, I bet they’re just planning another way to tease the husband later.
