Chapter 525: Chapter 525: Master Brandon didn’t come home at night!

Brandon Piers had not come back by dinnertime.

Abigail played with little Teddy until eight, put him to sleep, and then stepped out of the nursery to send a message to Pullan, asking where Brandon was.

She waited for a long time without a reply.

Feeling bored, Abigail went to the gym for an hour, and by the time she came out, it was already past nine. She took a shower, put on her carefully selected clothes, and went to Brandon’s study, acting nonchalant. No one was there.

She then went to Brandon’s room with the same air of nonchalance. He wasn’t there either.

Still not back?

Abigail pulled out her phone. Pullan still hadn’t replied.

This was not normal.

The last time Brandon hadn’t come home this late, he had gone to April Sky, the biggest nightclub in Swallow City, and found himself a pretty girl.

The more Abigail thought about it, the more uneasy she felt.

Could he be drinking at April Sky again?

Feeling uneasy, Abigail decided to call Pullan.

The phone rang a few times before it was hung up. Puzzled, she sent a question mark.

This time, Pullan replied: "Young Madam, I’m driving."

Abigail felt much better at this, thinking that Brandon must be on his way back. She hesitated for a moment before biting her lip and entering Brandon’s room.

It wasn’t her first time in his room, but unlike the last time, she was much more nervous. She lay down in Brandon’s bed on her own initiative, feeling a bit shy, and pulled the covers over herself.

She had never imagined that she could be so reckless when she liked someone, driven by fearless courage.

She felt like her current self was a complete contrast to her past self.

One hesitated, while the other, having missed out before, was now fearful of losing, making her exceptionally brave.

Huddled under the blanket, Abigail’s thoughts ran wild, and she even picked up the blanket to smell the lingering scent of Brandon. At this moment, she felt like a lovesick fool.

But time slowly ticked by, and waves of sleepiness swept over Abigail, while the sound of Brandon’s footsteps never came from outside.

She waited and waited.

Abigail didn’t know how long she had waited, but she finally fell asleep in the battle against her biological clock.

Morning came, and Abigail woke up with a start, reaching out beside her to find it empty and cold.

Her heart clenched suddenly. Brandon hadn’t come home all night?

This had never happened before.

Abigail checked her phone, finding no messages from either Pullan or Brandon. Remembering the near car accident last time, her heart tightened, and she rushed out in a panic, only to run into Housekeeper Piers.

She didn’t care what Housekeeper Piers thought, anxiously asking, "Where’s Second Young Master? Why didn’t he come back all night? Did something happen?"

Housekeeper Piers looked a bit guilty. "Um... Second Young Master is fine. Would you like to have breakfast now? I’ll have someone prepare it for you."

It was the first time Abigail had seen Uncle Piers with such an expression. She was slightly taken aback, already knowing that Brandon was fine, but why was Uncle Piers acting like this? "If he’s fine, then where is he?"

"Well..." Housekeeper Piers stammered, making Abigail even more suspicious. Just then, little George Piers started calling out from the nursery, and Housekeeper Piers quickly changed the subject. "Young Madam, why don’t you go check on Teddy first?"

Housekeeper Piers’s reaction was too strange.

Abigail looked deeply at him, then went to the nursery to calm Teddy, feeding the little baby 150 milliliters of formula and dressing him. She played with the little one until he was happy before handing him over to Aunt Claudia, then left the room herself.

Debating for a moment, Abigail decided to call Brandon. But just then, a news flash appeared on her phone, making her pause. Thinking she was seeing things, she opened the news app she didn’t know was installed to confirm. Sure enough, she hadn’t seen wrong.

The news headline boldly read, "Second Young Master Piers Spent the Night at the Apartment of a Female Star with the Initial T. Cinderella’s Dream Shattered."

The subheadline read, "First, there were rumors of his 200-pound fiancée’s infidelity. Now, Second Young Master spent the night at a female star’s apartment. Is Second Young Master Piers’s taste skewed, or is there another story behind the marriage?"

Unconsciously, Abigail found her hands trembling slightly as she opened the accompanying photo. Just one glance was enough for her to recognize Brandon, and the woman beside him, though only a side profile, was clearly slim and beautiful, obviously quite stunning.

It felt like her heart had been pierced by a needle. Abigail’s heart throbbed with pain, forcing her to bend over and clutch the wall next to her. She couldn’t recover for a long time.

She didn’t know how long it was before Kelly, coming over with Tate, saw Abigail pale-faced and leaning against the wall. Kelly quickly put the stroller aside and went to support her. "Abigail, what’s wrong? Don’t scare me!"

Abigail’s mind buzzed, her whole body feeling numb and cold. She didn’t hear Kelly’s voice until Kelly gently patted her back, gradually bringing her back. She looked at Kelly blankly.

"Abigail, Abigail, what’s wrong with you? I’ll call the doctor..." Kelly, worried, was about to call the doctor when Abigail grabbed her wrist.

Kelly trembled, looking at Abigail in disbelief. "Why are your hands so cold?"

"I’m fine. Just didn’t sleep well, and I have a little low blood sugar. I feel unwell, but I’ll be okay after a while. Don’t worry." Abigail finally found her voice, but it was dry and hoarse, making Kelly uncomfortable.

"Are you sure you’re okay? You don’t look right. Maybe you should see a doctor?" Kelly insisted, still worried.

Abigail shook her head. "I’m really fine. Go check on Tate, make sure he doesn’t fall."

"He’ll be fine... Oh my gosh!" Even as Kelly spoke, she saw her son almost toppling the stroller, hurriedly turning to steady it. Then, she turned back to Abigail. "Abigail, if you feel unwell anywhere, you should see a doctor. Don’t take it lightly just because you’re young."

"Yes, I understand." Abigail replied vaguely, forcing a smile, then urged Kelly, "Take Tate to find Teddy. Otherwise, Teddy will trouble Aunt Claudia."

"Okay then." Kelly gave Abigail a worried glance, seeing her standing tall and seemingly fine before heading downstairs with some relief.

But Kelly didn’t know, in order to maintain this calm exterior, Abigail almost dug her nails into her palms. Once downstairs, she didn’t know what to do, standing there blankly for a long time, her mind constantly replaying the image of Brandon with another woman.

And those two bold words in the headline: "Spent the Night."

No one knew better than Abigail that Brandon hadn’t returned home last night, something that had never happened before.

So, did he spend the night with another woman?

Brandon, why?
