Andrew blinked away the burning feeling in his eyes as his vision cleared up. He could see past the mist now and immediately noticed that both Clara and Emperor were not too far away.

Emperor had already picked up on the trick to winning but Clara seemed to be having a hard time finding the platform where she needed to go. So Andrew immediately headed over to her and grabbed her arm to guide her.

"Hey, let me go, or I will kill you. You do not want to test my patience... just trust me and leave me alone..."

She complained as she thrashed around in order to be freed. But Andrew held her wrist even tighter.

"Stop moving around and follow me. I am trying to help you get your sight back."

Andrew told her and Clara relaxed a little bit and followed him. Andrew helped her to the platform and placed a dice in her hand.

"Feel the ridges and put the 1 down flat. You will not lose that way."

Andrew told her in a low enough voice that no one else was able to hear him. Clara nodded and did as she was told to.

Her eyesight immediately came back once she won her round.

"Phew, that went well... where is Lilianna? I do not see her around."

Clara asked as she looked around. By now, Emperor had come to join them as well and only Lilianna was missing.

"Since she signed a contract, she should be somewhere around here. The system won’t put her far in this kind of game."

Emperor assured Clara and Andrew nodded.

"Are you all looking for me?"

Lilianna asked, appearing from who-knows-where and she quickly joined the trio. Her arrival caused Clara to breathe a sigh of relief.

"Finally, you are here. I was getting worried about you... Andrew, what are you doing. No-! Wait-!"

Clara yelled seconds before Andrew took out his sword and cleaved Lilianna right through the middle.

"W-Why..."

Lilianna asked in a shocked voice before her body melted into a pile of black goo.

"W-What happened...?"

Clara asked as she blinked and tried to make sense of things. In her mind, she knew that a monster had taken Lilianna’s form to try and trick them, but it was still a hard pill for her to swallow.

"It was a monster. It looks like Clara is somewhere but it would be a hassle to find her. Also, make sure to not get separated from each other. These monsters are ruthless. Who knows whom they might try to impersonate next."

Andrew told them all and both Clara and Emperor nodded and came closer to him.

He was not worried about mistaking the monsters for humans because he had the System’s Eye that told him additional information about the monsters. That was how he had noticed the first monster as well.

But it was not so easy for other people. And if they did not find Lilianna quickly, then he was afraid that she might not be able to survive this round for much longer.

"This arena is big. Where do we even go to find Lilianna...?"

Clara asked as she followed after Andrew, but he was already looking around. A few familiar names jumped at him but he ignored them all in order to look for Lilianna.

Finally, he found her in the corner but it seemed as if it was already too late. She had already been cursed twice.

"There she is..."

Clara also noticed her and quickly walked toward Lilianna. The females looked relieved to see each other and their group quickly regrouped.

"It seems we got lucky and found each other quickly. So... what is our next move?" 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

Clara asked as she held on to Lilianna tightly.

"We need to look for the next section. Because this was the starting section, it was easy for us to get through. But I am not sure if it will be just as easy to get through the next section as well."

Andrew warned them but it was not like they had another choice in this matter. They could not sit still and wait for their death either.

"Sister, you are amazing? So you are that #1 Mark Dawnson’s fiance? I-If we help you now, then you will put in a good word for us with him, right?"

The player asked Jenna Lorance and she let out a smile.

"Why, of course. Have you not seen me on TV already? I always keep my words as well, so you can trust me. Look, this is the ring he gave me for our engagement."

Jenna showed off the ring that her mother had stolen from Dawnson family’s safe in order to make Mark marry her.

She had also almost married Mark, but then he had ran away from the wedding and then this all had happened. No one actually knew that they had broken off things and that her mother had been driven off by Mark already.

But most people who knew all this were dead by now so Jenna was safe. And she used Mark’s name to get what she wanted from these fools.

"Oh-! We trust you. Of course we trust you, Miss. It’s just... nevermind. We will help you out here. Please follow us."

The disposable humans around Jenna told her and she smiled softly at them. Little did they know that they were about to be used by her and then discarded.

’Ah, what fools. Tsk but Mark is an even bigger fool. He used to be someone I could easily trample without any other thoughts, but now he thinks he’s some big-shot who can do anything? What changed...?’

Whatever it was, Jenna was sure Mark would come back to his senses once he saw her. After all, he won’t be able to get any girl better than her and she would make sure he knows it as well.

But to do that, she needed to survive this round first.

"Miss, we are ready to head to the next section. B-But you will surely put a good word for us when you meet Mark Dawnson again, right?"

The no-named filler asked once more and Jenna gave him a smile.

"Of course I will. I always keep my promise. As soon as I meet Mark again, I will tell him all about how you helped me out."

Jenna assured him, not knowing how quickly she would be able to meet Mark again and how much she would regret her words.
