Reborn as a Mind-Reading Empress-Chapter 672: How Lobelius Kingdom Began
And yet, instead of stopping the offerings, Lobelius went to the top of the mountain every day to directly hand her the offerings and kept reasoning it was thanks for the past.
Satara thought of Lobelius as nothing but a nuisance but she could not kill him when he did not try to harm her at all. Thus, she just let him be until she got used to his presence.
Lobelius became a daily companion and informed her in more detail of what was going on outside the mountain.
Satara became close with Lobelius and his family. Lobelius was even able to lure her out of the mountain to visit the communities nearby. And before she knew it, she fell in love with a human whose race she once deeply loathed.
When she realized her feelings, Satara was horrified and could not accept that she had fallen in love with someone from the race that nearly annihilated her kind.
Thus, Satara stopped seeing Lobelius completely. He did not allow Lobelius to enter the forest ever again nor replied to any of his words as he kept visiting the forest asking to see her.
However, one day, knights from a neighboring kingdom came to set aflame to Satara’s abode declaring that it was a horde of monsters since everyone who went there died.
Lobelius and his family helped Satara protect the forest. With Lobelius a former Holy Knight and Lahar who had become a priest for the Holy Temple vouching for the forest, Satara was able to keep her usual life there in peace.
She had no choice but to appear to Lobelius and Lahar to thank them. And Lobelius took that chance to confess his feelings for her and propose.
Satara rejected him repeatedly but Lobelius was determined, until one day, Satara agreed to be his wife. They lived together and let the farm along the plains become their source of income.
Satara and Lobelius became the owners of the mountain and the plains. Satara extended Lobelius’ lifespan with hers. Meanwhile, Lahar was blessed with a long lifespan due to his holy power and dedicated himself to the Great Temple.
Meanwhile, Satara and Lobelius were blessed with twins. They were Laurence and Laurencia. The two were able to use elven magic thanks to Satara’s bloodline they inherited.
Satara and Lobelius had more children after several years but they did not have as much mana as the twins.
As the population increased, Satara and Lobelius’ family were recognized by their neighbors as the leading household in the area since they had the most resources.
Lahar continued being a priest for several hundred years until he retired when he could no longer use his divine power. He retired in a neighboring area and finally got married.
After some time, Satara and Lobelius established a kingdom of their own. Lahar did as well and they supported each other.
However, after the years went by, Lahar passed on. Satara and Lobelius’ other children also died of old age after they used up their mana and could no longer maintain a longer lifespan even with Satara’s help.
Eventually, Lobelius passed on as well when Satara no longer had enough mana to extend his life. Laurence and Laurencia were what remained to Satara and together, they watched over their children and grandchildren.
They faked their deaths pretending that the generation changed while they only maintained what they already had until a lot of those who could use magic eventually died as well.
Now, Laurence and Laurencia could only use magic to maintain their fake appearances. They were no longer different from humans but only had long lifespans.
Meanwhile, Satara was on the verge of death after using up most of her mana and was only waiting for her time to come. She had long lost her former abilities but was still doing her best to support Lobelius with the meager mana she had left.
The current royal family of Lobelius was Satara and Lobelius’ descendants along with a lot of the families in Lobelius and Lahar.

"So I am somewhat partly an elf and you are my ancestors?!" Arabella gawked at Elder Satara, Duke Laurence, and Head Maid Laurencia.
Never in Arabella’s wildest dreams did she think that the first three rulers of Lobelius were still here alive today. And they were here with her. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
She was touched by their devotion to keep protecting and watching over Lobelius despite all these years.
The stories in Lobelius and Lahar’s founding myths were true. They simply added it with some embellished details over the years to hide the exact truth.
Now she understood why Lobelius and Lahar were close even now. Ad it was almost ruined because of her and Andrew.
Arabella once again regretted her rash decisions when she was younger.
"Yes, Ella. You are our kin," Elder Satara and her children smiled at Arabella affectionately. "I am glad that you are faring well in Valeria."
[So she’s one of my kind?!!] Alwin was rather surprised by this news as well. [No. She’s just a human now with just a bit of the Elder’s blood in her since she’s the nth generation.]
"I see. Thank you for watching over Lobelius all this time. I enjoyed all the stories you told me about the long-lived races," Arabella smiled back.
"Then, did you know that I was a dragon, and which was why you advised the current King and Queen to agree to my proposal?" Ferdinand inquired.
"Ah, about that, I did not. I was too weak to feel a presence from afar and I have long lost most of my abilities," Elder Satara shook her head.
’I see. She did not know in advance,’ some of Arabella’s questions were answered.
"However, in exchange, in my long stay here in the human realm, especially now that I am close to death, there were things that I could perceive even without magic," Elder Satara added.
Arabella gulped as she felt like she knew where this was going.
