After months since awakening in the central chamber of the once derelict SpaceX facility inside a stasis capsule, Leon finally succeeded in repairing and upgrading it enough to turn it into a concrete Mechanist blueprint.
The current Bastion qualified as an E Rank blueprint.
By the time the ChronoSystem lit up with that notification to acknowledge his hard work, it was already morning of a new day.
27th August, Year 714 A.G.
After waking up, Leon went straight to the bathroom of one of his three living quarters where he had a long bath to freshen up.
By the time he left the bathroom, he was refreshed and raring to go.
He checked the time.
[07:47am]
’Just 13 minutes before he comes,’ he clicked his tongue and went to his wardrobe where he donned an all-black black military-style attire.
He wore a black durag, covering his thick black hair up.
Leon slotted 2 QX-07 Air Gun Pistols in his side-arm pockets, then he stood still as he looked at himself in the mirror.
Compared to the day that he awakened a few months ago, there was no clear physical difference between the current him and the man months ago, but the look in his eyes was no longer the same.
Unlike then when his black eyes were confused and curious, innocent and reflecting his lack of knowledge concerning a lot of things in Neo-Tokara, now, he was a powerful and seasoned Ascended veteran in Neo-Tokara.
Now, he was a D Rank Mechanist, a Warmachine Specialist.
Leon’s eyes gleamed, then in front of the mirror, he did something that he had been postponing for weeks since becoming a D Rank Mechanist.
DING!

[ChronoSystem Function, Chrono Replication utilized!]
[Ascertaining storage targets... please wait...]
...
[You have stored the Mechanist Construct: Bulwark MK.II Titan Frame!]
[You have stored the Mechanist Construct: Sentry-IV Autocannon Drone!]
[You have stored the Mechanist Construct: Zerphyr-7 Stealth Reconnaisance UAV!]
[You have stored the Mechanist Construct: R9 Energy Shield!]
[You have stored the Mechanist Construct: Doom Rover v0.2- Titan Class!]
...
[You have filled up all 5 slots of Chrono Replication!]
...
[NOTE: After stored constructs are recreated once, they’ll disappear from the ChronoSystem database. You have to manually store them again to be used again.]
~----~
Leon waited till he constructed all his main projects before using up the 5 slots of the ChronoSystem Function that were allocated to him.
He had a hunch that at C Rank, he would unlock more slots of the System Function but for now, Chrono Replication was restricted to just 5 slots but to Leon, this was already enough.
This ensured that no matter how harrowing of a situation he found himself in the future, he would never be truly defenseless.
Even if all his ADE was depleted, with Chrono Replication, he would still be equipped to resist because the ChronoSystem didn’t need his ADE to activate any of its functions except for Construct Protocol and Deconstruct Protocol.
Satisfied, Leon finally turned around from the mirror and picked up the massive luggage bag where he already arranged the clothes that he’ll be taking on his journey.
Compared to some time ago where he barely had any clothes in his wardrobe, now, he had a whole catalogue of them. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
He dragged the luggage bag to his mechanic workshop where all his constructs were already arranged in giant crates and were waiting for him.
Leon dropped the luggage bag and extended both his hands towards the giant crates in front of him.
His grayish white ADE flared.
BZZZ!
Miniaturization!
Within 20 seconds, all the giant crates turned into tiny crates that he could stack on top each other and carry easily.
Once he was done, the basic bots in the workshop immediately moved to carry the tiny crates.
Leon turned around and led the way to the surface.
CLANG!
The runway leading outside the shelter opened with a metallic grinding sound as Leon led the bots outside.
He led them towards the concealed landing pad where the Zerphyr-7 slumbered in hibernation.
As he walked closer, Leon simply tapped his smart wristwatch twice and immediately, the hidden presence hibernating in the open revealed itself.
BZZZ!
The Zerphyr-7 came to life, shedding its camouflage and becoming visible even as the main door of the aircraft immediately slid down, revealing a small staircase to climb inside it.
Leon climbed inside first and the bots followed, carrying the miniaturized crates and their contents inside.
Among the crates, the miniaturized version of the Mad Max also followed.
The only thing that Leon left for Butler was the Karaki CT-3X superbike, he already delegated the ChronoSystem to prioritize constructing a new Mad Max for Butler within the next few days.
Once all the crates were arranged inside the aircraft, the bots came back out and alongside Butler, they stood outside looking at the aircraft.
Leon looked at Butler and smiled. "I’m leaving the shelter in your care, do well to take care of it".
"Yes Master". Butler responded politely and bowed.
Leon grinned, then he finally commanded the Zerphyr-7’s door to lock as quietly, the stealth vessel rose up into the sky, silently disappearing into the clouds.
...
[08:04am]
Tututututututu...!
The low rhythmic chop of rotor blades reverberated in the sky, gradually growing louder as a helicopter swept in over the ridge line, descending carefully towards the designated zone.
The helicopter kicked up clouds of dust and sand as it gradually settled onto the ground, and then 2 soldiers in full-face masks stepped out of the helicopter.
They looked around and they saw no one.
There was no mechanic in sight, neither was there a robot substituting for him in a Truck but the 2 soldiers were not bothered as one of them waved at the helicopter, signaling for them to go.
The pilot and its other soldier occupants obeyed as gradually, it rose back up into the sky before quickly shooting back from where it came from away from the fringe of the Wastes.
And so, the 2 soldiers waited.
...
Seated inside the pilot area of the Zerphyr-7, Leon had a perplexed expression on his face as he looked at the 2 soldiers below.
’2 soldiers?’
’Who is the second one?’ He had a bad premonition.
Before he could overthink it, the Zerphyr-7 pinged and projected a notification to him.
With the Advanced Surveillance System of the aircraft, by combining the Long-Range Electro-Optical Camera Suit and the Synthetic Aperture Radar, it’s sensors were able to easily penetrate through the stealth masks to pinpoint the identity of the 2 soldiers immediately.
BEEP!
