Reborn as a Devouring Dragon with a System-Chapter 51: Going on Killing Spree (5)
Chapter 51: Going on Killing Spree (5)
Lizzy and Finn stood firm before the two maids who were now their opponents. The maids radiated power, both standing at the late stage of the Origin Warrior Realm, while Lizzy and Finn were merely at the Origin Foundation Realm. Finn was at the middle stage, inching close to the late stage, while Lizzy had just broken into the early stage. Yet despite the difference, her aura was steady—dangerously stable.
Before they came to Bestial Town, Drake had taken no chances. He spent a full day forcefully boosting their Cultivations, determined to prevent any unforeseen disasters. He had also strictly forbidden them from using their dragon skills, instead handing them powerful Earth-Grade abilities bought at a heavy cost from the system shop—millions of DP spent without hesitation.
He had warned them again and again: no dragon abilities. They must not reveal anything even remotely related to dragons. That restriction alone made this fight all the more brutal.
Meanwhile, Kaidros clashed at the peak of the Origin Ancestor Realm, fighting fiercely against the old protector who had reached the early stage of the Origin Saint Realm.
And Drake himself? He faced none other than Young Master Leo—who, when appraised, was shockingly at the early stage of the Origin King Realm. Drake, however, was still only at the late stage of the Origin Warrior Realm.
"You’re going to regret fighting me," Leo said, his voice a venomous hiss.
"Then let’s see," Drake replied chillingly, his mask hiding the cold grin playing on his lips.
"Fire Art: Flaming Lion Fist!"
Golden flames exploded around Leo’s right hand as he lunged forward, unleashing a roaring lion-shaped fire fist toward Drake.
Drake didn’t even flinch.
"Devouring Art: Devourer Barrier," he muttered.
As the fiery lion approached, it abruptly froze—then vanished into nothingness, swallowed clean. Leo’s eyes narrowed dangerously. He remembered Drake’s earlier words: they had studied him. They knew his strengths, his skills—and they had come ready to dismantle him.
Leo gritted his teeth and struck again and again, but each furious blow dissolved against the same eerie, absorbing barrier.
Around them, the spectators had long since scattered. None dared stay within range of the deadly shockwaves erupting from the battlefield. Even a stray gust from these monsters could end a life in an instant.
"You dare try to kill our master?" snarled one of the maids battling Lizzy. She was young, barely in her twenties, her black hair tied tight in a ponytail, her eyes blazing with rage.
Lizzy only laughed, a cold, mocking sound that echoed sharply.
"Beat me first before you flap your mouth," she snapped.
"Fire Art: Rush of the Lion!" the maid roared.
A surge of Originat burst from her body, coating her in a flaming aura. She charged, the figure of a massive lion shimmering around her form as she hurtled toward Lizzy.
"Blood Art: Blood Shield!"
Lizzy’s voice was calm, almost lazy, as a crimson shield of blood materialized before her.
The maid smashed against the shield—but instead of breaking through, she was halted mid-charge, gritting her teeth in frustration. If she had landed the blow, Lizzy might have suffered serious injuries. Even with her powerful healing, it wasn’t worth exposing it now.
"Blood Art: Blood Thorn!"
Lizzy seized the moment, striking back viciously, dozens of razor-sharp blood thorns launching straight toward her opponent.
"Fire Art: Fire Shield!" the maid cried, panicked, summoning a blazing shield just in time.
She blocked the assault—but not without cost. One thorn grazed her hand, slicing it open. Blood trickled down her wrist as she stiffened, fury trembling in her bones.
At Finn’s side, he stood before the other maid. This maid had brown hair and eyes; she was also in her twenties but had larger assets than the black-haired one.
"You guys are going to regret going against the Master. You will face the wrath of the Ignis Clan," the brown-haired maid said coldly.
"Fire Art: Rush of the Lion," the maid called out coldly as her Originat flowed from her body, covering her entire body as she charged toward Finn. In Finn’s eyes, she looked like a rushing, raging lion.
"Thunder and Lightning Art: Ferocious Thunder!"
The sound of thunder resounded as Finn stood firm. The young lady suddenly felt her rush stop as she felt dizzy.
"Thunder and Lightning Art: Lightning Rush!"
"Thunder and Lightning Art: Lightning Slash!"
Using Lightning Rush, Finn seized the opportunity to get close to the young maid and attack her with a Lightning Slash, discharging lightning that aimed for her, paralyzing and causing damage to her. This caused the maid to grow angrier.
At Kaidros’s place,
He stood before the old man, who looked at him with a smile. "I wonder what gives you the confidence to go against the Ignis Clan." Kaidros still maintained his silence.
"Fire Art: Rush of the Lion!"
In the old man’s case, it wasn’t a lion’s head that formed but a complete golden lion that roared towards the sky, charging at Kaidros.
"Sword Art: Sword Vortex!"
A large amount of sword aura was released by Kaidros as it transformed into Sword Intent — the next level for sword cultivators after Sword Aura. The Sword Intent condensed as it formed a sword vortex that absorbed the golden lion. In an instant, it shredded the lion into pieces.
he sword vortex didn’t stop there but moved toward the old man, who snorted when he saw this.
"Fire Art: Fire Shield!"
A large flaming shield was formed in front of the old man. The sword vortex clashed with it, and both attacks nullified one another. The old man was surprised by this, looking at Kaidros.
Both of them still looked at each other with cold intent before the old man decided to speak.
"Let’s move outside. The town can’t contain our strength."
Kaidros nodded, and they moved. It wasn’t only them; all of them moved, Drake, Finn, Lizzy, Leo and the maids, because the building had collapsed from the clash of the eight of them.
