Rebirth: Top Actress, Your Big Shot Husband is Jealous Again!-Chapter 624: Mr. Jiang is on a business trip, didn’t he tell you?
That night, Bella Green didn’t sleep well either.
In the morning, Bella got up, washed up, changed clothes, and went downstairs directly.
She thought Mason Bennett would have breakfast ready and waiting for her in the living room.
As she went downstairs, the girl had a bright smile on her face.
Bella ran happily to the dining room, but the table was still covered with yesterday’s dishes, not cleaned up.
The kitchen was completely empty too.
Bella looked around but didn’t see Mason.
Just as she was about to head upstairs, she heard the doorbell ring.
Bella walked over and opened the door.
There stood Elliot Morris, grinning widely at her with a takeout bag in hand.
"Good morning, Miss Green."
Bella paused for a moment and stepped aside.
"Good morning."
Elliot laughed as he entered the house, taking the bag directly to the dining room.
"Miss Green, hurry and come have breakfast. It’s your favorite soup dumplings. After eating, I’ll take you to school."
Bella followed Elliot to the dining room, listening to him, and felt a bit startled.
"You’re taking me to school?"
Mason drove her every day.
Ever since she moved in, Mason had almost always driven himself to work, saying it was their alone time.
"That’s right," Elliot said, taking out the soup dumplings and condiments.
"Eat while it’s hot. It’s still warm. Lots of vinegar, lots of spicy, no garlic," Elliot said, pointing at the condiment box, proudly.
But Bella wasn’t interested in those at the moment; she walked up to him instead.
"Did Mason ask you to pick me up? Did he tell you to buy breakfast?"
Elliot was baffled by her reaction.
"The boss asked me to take you to school, then told me to bring breakfast over. I remember you seem to like the soup dumplings from this place," Elliot said nervously, feeling that Bella’s mood seemed a bit off.
Listening to him, Bella felt speechless and frustrated.
This guy didn’t wake her up this morning? And had Elliot bring breakfast over? 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
Suddenly, she recalled Mason’s inexplicable mood last night and this morning’s strangeness.
Was this guy still sulking with her?
Bella looked upset, still unclear about how she had managed to irritate Mason.
Staring at the soup dumplings she loved, she lost her appetite completely.
Elliot cautiously watched Bella, afraid to speak.
He hadn’t noticed before, but thinking it over now, it seemed these two might be having a dispute?
They lived together, yet he was asked to pick her up; this was obviously a quarrel.
He felt foolish for just realizing it now.
"Ahem, Miss Green, you should eat breakfast first. Actually, these dumplings were bought because the boss said breakfast is a must; otherwise, it’s not good for your health."
Elliot spoke earnestly.
Bella shot him a cold look instantly.
"Can you draft your lies before you tell them?"
He just said he bought the dumplings himself, then turned around and claimed Mason sent him; was he trying to fool a fool?
Elliot: "..."
Bella ignored him, took out her phone, and dialed Mason’s number.
But it went straight to voicemail.
Bella was so angry her teeth itched; was this guy really messing with her?
Bella seized a dumpling, angrily bit into it, and then glared at Elliot.
"Take me to Nathan Bennett, I need to find Mason."
Elliot was momentarily stunned by this, then looked at her with a peculiar expression.
"The boss went on a business trip; his flight was this morning. Didn’t he tell you?"
