Rebirth: The unfavored Princess is the Tyrant King's favorite-Chapter 137: Why would you help me?
"What do you want from me?" She asked fearfully, but instead of the woman to answer her question, she asked her another one of her own.
"Are you brave enough to change the status quo? Are you brave enough to try to win again?"
"Bu—But you just said he wouldn’t care about me no matter what I do. How can I have the confidence to win him over?" Evelyn asked.
"What if I tell you there’s a sure way? I can help you," the woman said.
"Why? Why would you help me?"
The woman smiled at Evelyn’s question, an evil grin was on her face.
"Let’s just say...we all have the same goal. We all don’t want the first prince to end up with the princess consort. So are you willing to take a chance?"
"H—how can I make him notice me and pay attention to me?" Evelyn asked, looking desperate.
"Make them suspicious of each other," the woman said.
"Suspicious?"
"Yes...If they don’t trust each other, you’ll have a chance to get close to him."
"What should I do to make him suspicious?"
"It’s simple..." the woman said and whispered the remaining words into Evelyn’s ears.
"Are you sure it’s going to work?" Evelyn asked, feeling skeptical.
"Don’t you want my help? Are you doubting me?"
"No! I’m not doubting you. I’ll do as you said," Evelyn said and stretched her hands. The woman placed a little bottle that appeared out of thin air into Evelyn’s palms.
"Use it well," the woman said and disappeared, leaving only her laughter that left goosebumps on Evelyn’s skin behind.
Evelyn had an evil grin on her face as she stared at the little bottle in her possession.
’Ha, it seems even the heavens were on her side. Princess Consort, I’ll have the last laugh, you’ll never be my match!’

The soul had just disappeared from Evelyn’s room when she found herself back in the glass jar in the dark forest with the soul-binding whip tightly coiling around her.
She screamed in agony, but this time instead of pain, her eyes looked defiant and unyielding as she glared at the woman before her.
The soul watched the beautiful woman who looked like a demoness in her fluttering red robes and the red symbol resembling a peony flower on her forehead and wailed,
"You lied to me, this was not what you promised. You promised to set me free."
"And you believed it?" Harriet’s red peony mark on her forehead lit up as she sneered before adding after a beat,
"Don’t blame me for your own foolishness, Eve."
"You are ruthless, so full of hate and bitterness, that’s why you hate your own flesh and blood. All this time you were the one who helped me to keep them apart. I didn’t tell King Emric when he asked about my real identity."
"I kept lying because of you. I didn’t want him to know you were the pushing force behind my evil actions for the past two millennia, but you’re still treating me like a servant," Eve yelled.
"If you are not a servant, who do you think you are, Evelyn? A princess? Do you think because I call you Eve instead of Evelyn, I’ve forgotten your humble beginnings?"
"Don’t forget I was the one who changed your fate and made all your reincarnations to be born as princesses. Don’t forget you would always be a slave in my eyes. A pig will always be a pig," Harriet spat her gaze condescending.
Harriet stretched out her hands towards Eve in the jar, and the soul-binding whip coiled even tighter around her soul, making Eve let out more heart-wrenching screams.

Goddess Harriet, who had been keeping an eye on her daughter’s current reincarnation through her special mirror, was watching their interactions at the banquet hall and saw how much Luciana seemed to be turning things in her favor this time around and saw red.
She was so full of hatred that in her anger, she didn’t even think about the consequences and her initial intentions of staying away from the couple because she wanted King Emric to have a good impression of her.
She just wanted things to go bad between the couple, so she raised her hand, and the soul she had received in the huge glass jar from King Emric appeared in front of her.
"My...my queen," the soul in the glass jar greeted in a weak voice.
"Eve, tell me, do you know why I’m still punishing you even when you are still here with me?" Harriet asked.
"I disappointed the goddess and the goddess is dissatisfied with me," Eve said.
"Good, you have some self-awareness," Harriet praised and added.
"So if I allow you to correct your mistakes, would you do it well without disappointing me?"
Eve hurriedly nodded.
"Yes—yes, my queen, you can trust me; I’ll never disappoint you."
"Good...I’ll give you one last chance if you do it well this time around. I’ll set you free, I’ll release you from this glass jar and return your freedom to you," Harriet said.
"Your wish is my command, my queen, command me as you wish," Eve said seriously.
"Go to the palace of Gloryland, this time your target is the eldest Prince’s noble consort..." Harriet began.

After Eve left to fulfill her assignment, Harriet sneered in her heart.
’Did Eve think she was going to set her free? It would never happen.’
To Harriet, her only perfect daughter has always been the very first Princess Luciana, the daughter she had molded to her liking and had made her too beautiful for the dragon prince not to fall in love with at first sight.
Everything was going according to plan until that damn curse came into existence and made her daughter not want to be with the first dragon prince anymore.
Harriet couldn’t blame her daughter for she could understand her pain. She raised another woman’s son as hers, and her partner, the one she trusted most, was the culprit; he had lied to her.
For all these years, unlike King Emric who always went down every thousand years to bed the human empress using the emperor’s disguise, Harriet had left everything to fate.
2000 years ago, following in King Emric’s footsteps, she had also taken the disguise of the queen of Zubrekacadesh and had mated with the king of Zubrekacadesh and had borne him a daughter.
She had hated every bit of living as a mere mortal. She couldn’t live through the torture of pretending to love a human again. Anytime that human touched her she felt so repulsed she wanted to puke.
She had only been able to handle it when she pictured the king of Zubrekacadesh as King Emric. Two thousand years ago, she had shed off 90% of her powers and had lived like a mere human just so she could marry her daughter to the prince of Gloryland.
That was how obsessed she was about telling the world that fire and water could coexist. Most importantly, she wanted King Emric to apologize for rejecting her.
But the truth was that she knew it; the reason why King Emric rejected her as his fiance had never been because he was a water dragon and she was a fire dragon. He just didn’t love her. He hated her because she had killed the woman he loved.
After going through all those hurdles, what Harriet didn’t know was that the Crown Prince of Gloryland at that time wasn’t the dragont5t5 to prince, the son of King Emric, but rather it was the human son of the emperor of Gloryland.
Harriet had thought that the crown prince would naturally be the firstborn son, that is, King Emric’s son, but fate played a trick on her.
But since she had made it so that the red string of her daughter’s fate was tied to the dragon prince’s pinky finger, they both fell in love with each other at first sight.
That should have been good news if it wasn’t because their being together became an abomination because she meddled.
That was why the deities were not allowed to interfere with the lives of mortals.
Over the years, she realized her daughter seemed to be reincarnated anytime a shadow of the dragon prince was born.
Harriet knew that there were only three real dragon princes who could transform and will one day take over the position of the dragon king
The real first dragon prince was the one who was born 2000 years ago, the real second dragon prince was the one born 1000 years ago and the third real dragon prince was the current eldest prince of Gloryland.
Harriet couldn’t explain it, but unlike King Emric, who always had to go to bed with the empress of Gloryland all three times to conceive a son, her daughter naturally reincarnated anytime a dragon prince was born.
After noticing these mysterious scenarios, Harriet realized there was something wrong. That was why she decided to stop treating those reincarnations as her daughter.
Everyone judged her, not understanding why she watched those reincarnations suffer all their lifetime without lifting a finger.
That was why she didn’t want any "fake" Luciana to live happily with the dragon prince. That was why even if she hated the first Evelyn with all her heart, she kept the desperate woman around to do her bidding.
She was her perfect tool to help her split up the lovebirds.
