Chapter 658: Chapter 658: Not Lying to You

Should she just sleep with Gao Yang and be done with it, or stick to her principles? Or perhaps, just get another room for herself.

Lu Ling thought for a while and decided to let things take their course. After all, Gao Yang was asleep now, and what if he woke up and denied everything?

After resting for a bit, Lu Ling finally walked to the bedside and gently touched Gao Yang, intending to wake him up so he could take a shower and feel more comfortable.

But even after shaking Gao Yang for a while, he didn’t move at all, clearly fast asleep. Lu Ling had no choice but to give up on waking him and headed to the bathroom, filled a basin with water, and prepared to wipe down Gao Yang.

Gao Yang lay quietly, though he could hear the commotion, he was unaware of her intentions.

It wasn’t until Lu Ling stopped by the bed again and reached to unbutton his shirt that Gao Yang could feign sleep no longer; he opened his eyes abruptly.

"You?" Lu Ling was startled, staring dumbfounded at Gao Yang. She hadn’t expected him to be awake, especially at this moment.

"What are you doing?" Gao Yang asked coldly, his gaze retracting from Lu Ling’s face to her hand on his clothes.

At that instant, he felt disgusted with Lu Ling once more. He had thought she was a girl who values herself since she had rejected him when he tried to kiss her earlier.

But to his surprise, she was now actively undressing him. What else could a woman undressing a man mean other than that particular act, he couldn’t think of any other possibilities.

"Nothing, nothing," Lu Ling stammered, scared by Gao Yang. She never expected him to wake up at this time; she was completely unprepared.

"Nothing?" Gao Yang sneered, grabbing Lu Ling’s hand that was trying to unbutton him, asking, "You call this doing nothing?"

Hearing Gao Yang’s words and seeing his disdainful and mocking gaze, Lu Ling immediately panicked, explaining, "Gao Yang, don’t get the wrong idea. I, I just wanted to help you clean up a bit. You were drunk and sweating; you’d be uncomfortable sleeping like this."

"Just cleaning up, are you sure?" Gao Yang’s gaze at Lu Ling was no longer just mocking; it was filled with contempt.

Dare to act, but not admit it!

He didn’t believe Lu Ling was just going to clean him. If he hadn’t woken up, who knows what else she would have done.

Besides, he was drunk and couldn’t know how she’d take advantage of him.

"Really, I’m not lying. Look, the water is all ready. Gao Yang, you have to believe me," Lu Ling, seeing Gao Yang’s utter disbelief, was desperate. She bent down to lift the basin of water from the floor to show him.

"Believe you?" Gao Yang sneered again, then sat up from the bed and said, "Lu Ling, you’re just a liar."

After saying that, Gao Yang didn’t give Lu Ling another glance and left, leaving Lu Ling standing stunned by the bed, holding the basin of water.

She watched Gao Yang leave without a backward glance, tears uncontrollably streaming down her face. She had thought Gao Yang’s drunkenness was an opportunity for her, but instead, it backfired, deepening his misunderstanding of her.

Lu Ling knew she could no longer salvage her relationship with Gao Yang. So she sat on the floor and started crying.

If she had known it would end like this, she wouldn’t have done it from the start.

As for Gao Yang, after leaving Lu Ling’s room, he initially planned to leave. But because he drank too much and had a terrible headache, he asked the reception and found out there were still rooms available, so he decided not to leave.
