Chapter 626: Chapter 626: Really Uncertain

Sophie Wilson ran out of the building just as Emerie was being thrown out by the security guard, cursing at the guard on the street.

Sophie rushed out, not giving Emerie any time to react, shouted directly, "Emerie, don’t come here pretending to be family just to leech off us. Let me tell you, we earn our money through hard work, and there’s no reason to just give it to you freely!"

After shouting this, Sophie turned to instruct the security guard, "Remember, don’t let this person in again!"

Having said that, Sophie turned sharply and entered the building, not giving Emerie a single chance to refute.

To deal with people like her, you have to be quick, ruthless, and accurate; there’s no point in arguing with her, just reveal her intentions in public.

The onlookers would naturally fill in the gaps with specific details.

As for the two from the Wilson Clan, and Benjamin Walton hidden behind Emerie... Hmph, do they think she’s as foolish as Emerie, letting them use her freely?

Dream on!

Happy as a clam, Sophie entered the building as if nothing had happened and continued to Charles Seymour’s office to hang out.

She had been guessing the Wilson Clan would make a move these days, which is why she stayed at the company on purpose, waiting for them to come, and sure enough, they did.

She’s good at confrontations; it’s her turf.

Otherwise, given her Mr. Seymour’s demeanor, he’d either ignore it or ignore it, and as for her dad, talking too much would ruin his reputation.

As for reputation, she couldn’t care less; she’s the perfect fit for the job.

"I’m back." Sophie burst through Charles Seymour’s office door, cheering happily, "I had her thrown out!"

"Thrown right out to the front gate, with people coming and going, I was so brazen." Sophie sat in front of the desk with a mischievous grin, propping her head in her hands, blinked innocently at Charles, repeated what she said, then asked with a smile, "So, wasn’t I amazing?"

Charles gently tapped Sophie’s forehead, petting her, "Amazing."

Sophie’s eyes curved with her smile, then she heard Charles worryingly say, "Next time, call for more security guards, don’t get yourself hurt."

"Sure thing!" Sophie responded crisply.

Standing at the open office door, Jim Perry silently lowered the hand he was about to knock with.

What was with this feeling of a foolish king and a disastrous beauty?

Should he still enter now?

Jim looked at the documents in his hand, truly uncertain.

Meanwhile, Emerie had no idea how she got home. Her eyes were swollen from crying, and the moment she entered the house and saw Old Mrs. Wilson, the tears she had barely managed to stop welled up once again.

"What’s the matter? Emerie, what happened to you?" Old Mrs. Wilson was heartbroken upon seeing her darling daughter’s pitiful state, feeling as if her heart was being crumpled and twisted, the pain unbearable.

"Mom, that Sophie bullied me!" Emerie, finally seeing her family, cried even more vigorously, recounting the events haltingly through her sobs, then choked out, "Tell me, isn’t Sophie too much? Why do we have to let her come back? I don’t want a niece like that!"

"How could she do this? This is too much!" Old Mrs. Wilson grew increasingly furious hearing this and turned to Old Mrs. Wilson, "Does she even have a trace of respect for her elders?"
