Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate-Chapter 613 Changed
Ethan felt his fighting spirit reignite as he thought, "James, don’t worry. Charles may have a company, but the Seymour Corporation still belongs to the Seymour Family. If he wants to enter the Seymour Corporation, I won’t agree!"
Ethan was essentially promising James implicitly that the Seymour Corporation would ultimately belong to James, not Charles.
"Dad, it doesn’t really matter who owns the Seymour Corporation, as long as it’s doing well," James said with a smile, as if he had no ambition at all. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
"Rest assured, you’ve put so much effort into the Seymour Corporation, I won’t let you down!" Ethan assured him confidently.
The news that Charles was the chairman of Peace Group seemed to have stirred a big reaction, yet in other ways, it had changed nothing.
After all, people in the business circle were carrying on as usual, but some subtle changes were slowly happening.
For example, some were quietly probing, some maintained the same warm attitude towards James, but whether there was any estrangement, only everyone knew in their hearts.
It’s no secret that Charles does not get along with Ethan and James.
The Seymour Family is Charles’s family, and he certainly won’t destroy the Seymour Corporation, but as for Ethan and James... Charles doesn’t have a favorable attitude.
So, smart people continued to maintain contact with the Seymour Corporation but subtly distanced themselves from James and Ethan in their interactions.
Sophie was unaware of these changes and didn’t care either.
At the moment, she was sitting in the office of the decoration company, seriously watching Lucy.
Lucy finished her last word, suddenly meeting Sophie’s scrutinizing gaze, which made her look down at herself in confusion and ask, "Sophie, is there something up with me?"
"Lucy, have you noticed..." Sophie deliberately elongated her voice, smiling as she asked, "you seem like a completely different person."
"Really?" Lucy asked, puzzled. She didn’t feel like she’d changed at all.
"Absolutely!" Sophie said with a smile, "The Lucy I knew before was so introverted and not confident. The Lucy now is cheerful, outgoing, and very capable, becoming more like a strong woman."
"Look, even when I got engaged, you were away on a business trip and didn’t come back," Sophie teased, "That’s loving work more than loving me."
"That’s because there was an unexpected situation with the business that came up over there, and I couldn’t make it back," Lucy explained apologetically with her hands together, "I really didn’t do it on purpose."
Sophie burst out laughing, "I know, I’m not mad."
"But, I watched the live stream of your engagement party, it was wonderful, very happy. Mr. Seymour is really good to you," Lucy said happily.
She didn’t care how many big shots were there or how much it cost, she valued knowing that Charles cared a lot about Sophie, and he treated Sophie well, and that made her happy.
"Exactly," Sophie proudly raised her head, "If he dared treat me poorly, if he treated me poorly, I’d beat him up."
Lucy covered her mouth and laughed, "Mr. Seymour certainly wouldn’t dare. He dotes on you too much to even have time for that."
"Enough about me, how have you been lately?" Sophie asked, "Does your terrible aunt still bother you?"
