Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate-Chapter 547: Not as Good as You
"Fortunately, I had the foresight," Sophie Wilson said with a chuckle, "As soon as they left, I called Grandpa. Otherwise, they would have run off to badmouth you."
How clever she was, recording Ethan Seymour’s scolding of Charles Seymour, then calling Old Mr. Seymour to let him listen to the situation firsthand, preventing Ethan from fabricating nonsense.
Now, Ethan and James Reed would be walking right into a trap, wouldn’t they?
"Hmm." Charles Seymour nodded, whatever Sophie said was right.
"There’s a good hotpot place; want to try it tomorrow?" Once things had passed, Sophie Wilson didn’t take James and his father seriously. It was better to go on a nice date with her Mr. Seymour.
"Okay." Charles Seymour nodded; if Sophie loved to eat, then they’d naturally go.
The next day, Sophie Wilson was sitting in a private room of the hotpot restaurant, sweating as she ate.
The spiciness was just too satisfying!
So delicious. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
"This is for you." Sophie Wilson placed the freshly cooked meat into Charles Seymour’s bowl and, seeing beads of sweat forming on his forehead too, couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
"What?" Charles Seymour looked at Sophie Wilson in confusion.
"Let me tell you, when it comes to hotpot, I don’t know about others, but I never eat hotpot with people I’m not too familiar with, especially spicy hotpot," Sophie Wilson said with a smile while fishing out a shrimp and slowly peeling it.
"Why?" Charles Seymour couldn’t grasp the essence of Sophie Wilson’s words.
"Because eating hotpot isn’t very dignified, you see? Once it gets spicy, your nose turns red and you start sweating, not a good look," Sophie Wilson said, pointing at her own face, "It’s not good to be seen like that by outsiders, understand?"
After Sophie Wilson finished speaking, she suddenly paused in her action of peeling shrimp. Opposite her, Charles Seymour’s eyes had suddenly lit up like he’d just seen something incredible, with the tips of his ears slightly flushed with excitement.
What’s up with him?
"Are you okay?" Sophie Wilson asked in surprise.
"I’m fine," Charles Seymour said with extreme calm.
Sophie Wilson: "..."
Why doesn’t he seem fine at all?
"Can we just say if there’s something up?" Sophie Wilson raised a brow, asking Charles Seymour.
Is this guy secretly having one of those moments again?
Charles Seymour pressed his lips together and said, "In front of me, it’s okay... I’m not an outsider."
When he said the last word, there was actually a hint of shyness and pride.
Sophie Wilson: "..."
Should she say he’s too innocent or too easily satisfied?
It was both exasperating and amusing.
"Since when are you an outsider to me?" Sophie Wilson snorted, tossing the peeled shrimp into Charles Seymour’s bowl, "Eat up."
Charles Seymour looked at the shrimp in his bowl, then looked at Sophie Wilson in surprise, "You peeled this for me?"
"Of course, you lazy thing. You eat like you’re going to war, never bothering with food that has shells or bones," Sophie Wilson gave Charles Seymour a sideways glance.
As Charles Seymour ate, he found the shrimp unbelievably chewy and delicious.
Delicious!
Absolutely delicious!
He had never eaten such tasty shrimp before.
"Tastes good?" Sophie Wilson didn’t need to hear Charles Seymour speak; she could see it from his expression.
"Yeah, it’s good," Charles Seymour nodded, and then added, "But still not as good as your cooking."
