Rebirth as The Billionaire's Seventh Wife-Chapter 195: Double Date!
Chapter 195: Double Date!
As they drive to the dinner location, Alex can’t help but ask, "Since when have they both been dating?"
He was curious, as he clearly remembered Aurora telling him just a few days earlier that Renata and Danny both hated each other.
Why are they suddenly dating now?
Aurora leaned closer to Alex, careful not to let the driver overhear.
"They’re not dating yet, but I have a plan. I plan to help them start dating and eventually get married!"
She couldn’t help but giggle as she thought about her brilliant plan. But Alex, who overheard her, nearly choked in surprise. He never expected his wife to come up with such an amusing idea to become a cupid.
Aurora’s eyes beamed as she looked at Alex. "What do you think of my plan? Sounds brilliant, right?"
Alex felt confused. He wished to stop her, but seeing the joy in her eyes left him feeling defeated. He smiled and nodded, saying, "Your idea was brilliant, Rory..."
"I know it..." Aurora beams with joy. "Rena and Danny genuinely have feelings for one another, but something from their past deterred them from pursuing a romantic relationship."
This time, Alex felt surprised.
He frowned, curious to hear more, but the car finally stopped at the luxury club in town, one of Stardust Group’s lines of business.
"Let’s go, Alex!" Aurora said excitedly.
Aurora didn’t wait for him to open the door; she swiftly stepped out of the car.
"Alex, I need your help to make this happen. We have to show them that married life is something they should strive for as well."
Alex, "..."
"I will help... Oh, did you reserve the VIP room for us?"
"Yes. Of course..." Aurora replied. She often sets up meetings for Alex at this location. She knows precisely which room is best: the VIP room reserved exclusively for the owner, Alex.
"Oh, I almost forgot! You’re the one who always sets up my meetings here." He chuckled, holding her hand as they headed inside the restaurant.
When they arrived holding hands, the restaurant manager was taken aback. It was the first time he had ever seen Alex Graystone with a woman in such an affectionate manner.
He quickly approached them with a warm smile and politely greeted Alex, "Sir, good night. Let me lead you..." He then began to follow their path to the second floor.
"Night! There’s no need for an escort," Alex replied swiftly, casting a brief glance at the manager.
He added, "You should remember that the lady next to me is my wife; if she comes to this place, make sure you serve her well and remind all the staff here, too."
The manager was shocked, but his surprise lasted only a second. He quickly bowed in fear and smiled friendly at Aurora, "Mrs. Graystone, it’s an honor to have you here, ma’am."
Aurora slightly tilted her head, looking perplexed before smiling at him.
"And I assume she has already ordered the menu, too, right?" Alex asked again as he slightly slowed his step before climbing to the second floor.
"Yes, Sir... We have already prepared it," the manager replied, glancing at Aurora.
The manager recalled that one of his staff members mentioned Alexander Graystone’s secretary had reserved a room and dinner. He didn’t expect him to actually arrive with his wife.
"That sounds great! Just a friendly reminder to make sure it’s served on time, so my wife won’t have to wait."
"We will, sir, madam..." The manager smiled at Aurora, then bowed before heading to the kitchen.
Aurora smiled as she watched the restaurant manager hurry toward the kitchen. She calmly kept following Alex, ascending the stairs to the second floor.
However, halfway up the stairs, something stirred her curiosity; she looked up to meet his gaze.
"Alex, so you want to announce our marriage?"
"Hmm, I don’t have any reason to hide you," he said, smiling at her. "Besides, you’re so pretty; I’m afraid people like Max will come after you."
"Oh, you’re mistaken, Alex. Max hated Aurora Spencer. He never liked her a bit." She smiled subtly, leaning in closer. "Max doesn’t like anyone because he has a crush on me, Aurora Moon," she whispered.
Just as they reached the second floor, Alex abruptly stopped. "No way!" He was too surprised to hear that.
When he saw her simply nod to convince him, he suddenly felt worried.
"How did you find out about this? Did he ever admit his feelings for you?" Alex asked, his brow furrowed in confusion.
Aurora took a deep breath and gently pulled Alex’s hand as they made their way back to the VIP room at the end of the hall.
"It will take a long time to talk about it," she said with a teasing smile as they walked. "Just so you know, he chose to study computer science because I inspired him."
Now, Alex realized why Max had worked in a different field from his family’s business.
"It makes sense that he didn’t continue the family legacy."
"Mmm... But when he learned I was dead, he was heartbroken and chose to withdraw his internship from Stardust Tech. It was only then that I realized he had feelings for me."
Aurora’s expression reflects sadness as she recalls persuading Max to continue his internship. She wants him to pursue his passion, not solely because of his feelings toward Aurora Moon.
She feels relieved to learn that, until today, Max is still diligently doing his internship because he enjoys making games.
...
Later, they finally arrive at the VIP room.
Aurora paused just before the door and turned to meet Alex’s gaze.
"Alright, let’s stop discussing him. Now, let’s focus on my plan. Please help me make my plan a success."
Alex chuckled, finding her excitement amusing.
"I will try..." even though he wasn’t exactly sure what to do.
As Aurora opened the door, she found Renata and Danny chatting excitedly.
They both immediately paused their conversation and greeted them happily.
"Wow! Rory, I can’t believe your hubby finally joined us!" Renata giggled, happily inviting Aurora to sit beside her.
