Chapter 166: Void-Bound Iron Body

โ€™Status.โ€™

[Evolution Successful!]

[You have achieved a Sublime Evolution!] ๐˜ง๐“‡๐‘’๐‘’๐‘คโ„ฏ๐‘๐“ƒ๐˜ฐ๐‘ฃโ„ฏ๐˜ญ.๐˜คโ„ด๐˜ฎ

[You have gained a Lineal Spark Talent!]

[You have gained a Spark Characteristic!]

[You have gained a Uniqueness!]

[You have gained a Uniqueness!]

Screens unfolded in front of him just as his brow shot up in genuine surprise.

โ€™Two Uniquenesses?โ€™

...

[Lineal Spark Talent: {Divine Root of Chaos}

>Details: Within your soul, the divine root of chaos lies, branching through all your layers and wrapping around your flesh, its branches overflowing with ancient blood.

>Within you, the countless generations of Heaven Defying Hounds lie, their experiences and legacies forged into your very Spirit, and through you, their Will lives on.

โ€ขYour Talent for Battle and Survival, whether Arcane or Martial, is unparalleled, and your senses transcend the limits of blood itself.

โ€ขYou are constantly guided and taught by the ancient Wills of the Hounds, and through struggle, you flourish.]

โ€”

[Spark Characteristic: {Void-Bound Iron Body}

>Details: The Body of the Hound is a machine born to rule over Hell, Heaven, and Void alike, forged from the Will of Chaos and tempered by the fury of the Divine, Profane, and Corrupted.

>Within their Body, the Blood of Nothing and Void clash to spark flames of chaos that purify the Hound.

โ€ขYour Body has evolved to become an indestructible machine of might and power, suited for Resonance, Dissonance, and Harmony Arts, but also born to grow.

โ€ขYour body has the properties of Divine Void-Bound Iron.

โ€ขNote(I): The Iron Body can evolve through the interaction of specific flames.

โ€ขNote(II): Harmony with the Divine Shells has birthed unknown mutations.

โ€ขNote(III): The Iron Body makes one utterly and absolutely immune to all flames and lightning regardless of type or nature.]

โ€”

[Uniqueness: {Void Stars of Blood [0/13]}

>Details: When the Hound fell and was bound in the depths of the Void, its blood splattered across Nothing, and thus awoke the Will of Chaos.

>But Chaos was not the only Primordial to inhabit the Hound, as the most Ancient Stars of the Void shone their light upon it too, infusing themselves within its blood and heart.

โ€ขBy defeating Great Enemies and shattering their Wills, form up to 13 Void Stars of Blood, each star granting one a passive boost of ten times their original power.

โ€ขEach Star acts akin to ten additional ascendant foundations, massively widening oneโ€™s power and turning an individual into an army.]

โ€”

[Uniqueness: {Nothing Moons of Steel [0/10]}

>Details: As Chaos reforged the Hound and the Stars became the Heart of the reborn Mad King of Carnage, the Moon grew jealous and thus shone its somber light upon the beast, inhabiting its head.

>As Moon and Star united, an anomaly was born.

โ€ขBy committing Great Deeds recognised by the System Weaves, form up to Ten Nothing Moons of Steel, each granting one a passive Step-Bound Elevation to the Mind.

โ€ขEach Moon acts akin to an entire Holistic Step-Bound Elevation, pushing the mind to yet another Plane of Thought, turning mere mortals into unseen sages across the wider universe.]

"..."

Urielโ€™s mouth hung in a wide โ€™oโ€™ of pure shock and bewilderment.

With the Terracrule Lineages, because he had forged and envisioned them from the ground up, mostly, he wasnโ€™t surprised by the abilities he gained.

He hadnโ€™t known exactly what the turtle would yield him, but heโ€™d had an inkling.

For his Frame Forged Evolutions, he had none.

And what he was seeing was... shocking.

โ€™Iโ€™m not sure if I should be thanking Thoryl for screwing me over and throwing me here, or if I should be cursing that suave idiot...โ€™

He shook his head, his shock fading, replaced by excitement that appeared in the form of a wild grin etched across his flawless face.

โ€™Divine Root of Chaos... this is perfect!โ€™

Heโ€™d been planning to spend extended periods of time mastering his Glaive and his future set of weapons, but also to learn how to properly bridge his Martial and Arcane abilities. With this, however, what wouldโ€™ve taken years would be done in months.

Not only that, it would finally and truly amplify his survivability.

Had he possessed this Talent during his battle with the Emperor, his Corynth Mark wouldโ€™ve been unlocked. And had he had it against the Fox, he wasnโ€™t sure he wouldโ€™ve been forced to kill himself.

โ€™Ah, maybe heโ€™d have adapted, but thatโ€™s besides the point.โ€™

What was even more exciting was his new Void-Bound Iron Body, and its maddening synergy with his divine shells, but also his new cores.

He hadnโ€™t noticed it before, but now that he paid attention to his cores, after his evolution it almost felt like theyโ€™d finally relaxed and fully settled into his body. A hidden pressure and tension he had held deep within himself vanished in a puff of smoke.

โ€™Absolute immunity to fire and lightning is ridiculous though...โ€™ a thought flickered across his mind. โ€™It says I can upgrade my body by interacting with specific flames. That probably means Iโ€™ll have to burn myself in the process, or something close to that.โ€™

He grimaced.

โ€™Iโ€™ll pray and assume the immunity includes pain. I hope.โ€™

His gaze ran down until the last of his notifications, focusing on his Uniquenesses, the two of them.

Part of him wished he could kiss the fabric of his Frames, the effects he was reading so unbelievable that he forced himself to read them multiple times over.

Another part of him, though, felt a tinge of annoyance and disappointment.

โ€™Itโ€™s unfortunate that it doesnโ€™t count my past achievements and defeated enemies.โ€™

Just from the Advent alone, heโ€™d already have instantly formed all his Stars, and for his Moons heโ€™d definitely have a couple.

โ€™Itโ€™s fine though. More challenges are to come.โ€™

He sighed, a deep echo of satisfaction and joy emanating from him, tearing through the gloom and tinged madness he had been under after spending all these horrifying days in the cave and desert.

It felt refreshing to see such growth.

โ€™I wonder why the descriptions for these were so detailed while for the Terracrule I didnโ€™t receive anything... hm, maybe itโ€™s a skill gap between my Frameโ€™s craft and my own.โ€™

He shrugged, then swiped at the screen in front of him, dismissing them.

Then he swiped again.

โ€™Status.โ€™

The results of his minor evolutions unfolded right in front of him.

More screens unfurled.

WHOOOSH!
