RE: Perverted Sugar Daddy System-Chapter 279: Best Moments
As Giggs had said, for him to meet Tobi and Ryan before he died, he came under a guise.
The disadvantage of me coming out so publicly to meet Tobi was that my enemy's spies, whoever they were, would now have clear confirmation that I had picked up on their trail.
Another disadvantage was that I would be vulnerable during my time with Tobi.
Giggs had been worried about this when I told him we would be entering through the front door, and I had assured him that all would be okay, because, truly, it would.
Entering the children's wing of the hospital, we came to the front of Room 45, and upon entering, we came upon the visage of a child who was fast asleep.
"This... Sir, I didn't expect this," Oprah turned to me, and I smiled at her in return.
"The boy is usually awake by this time, playing with his toys," she said, pointing at the figurines on the bed.
"It's alright. After what he's been through, it's a blessing that he can sleep this happily.
Look at the smile on his face. Is he normally like that?"
"I can't say for sure." Oprah moved closer to me, peering at the child's round face.
Tobi had long dark hair, and the smile on his face had me staring at him for several seconds before I looked away.
"What kind of meals does he like? What are his hobbies?" I asked the nurse, surprising her with my enthusiasm. But she hurriedly answered,
"Ice cream..."
Not only the nurse, but even Giggs was surprised at my interest. And then, when Oprah was done talking, I moved to Tobi and took a seat by his bed.
"Oprah i know am taking your time but please bare while i connect with the Tobi."
My words confused the lady but she nodded and that was all I needed.
[Night Walker activated]
[Night Walker: Relying on your mental strength, this skill allows you to invade your target's dream.
The amount of time that can be spent in the dream is dependent on your Intelligence.
1 point of Intelligence = 2 minutes in the dream.
Note: The target must be dreaming for this to happen. If the target is not dreaming, the use of this technique will result in the host entering the target's nightmare.]
I really didn't want to visit anybody's nightmare, and luckily for me, I didn't.
One of the major things that puts a smile on people's faces while they sleep are dreams, beautiful dreams.
Now, as a child who had just lost his parents, no dream should be able to make you smile… unless you were dreaming about them, a time when things were still alright.
Or maybe you were like Tobi, someone who could dream of the future and also of very promising moments in the past.
My Intelligence had come a long way from when I first got the system, but unfortunately, unless I ascended, it had hit its ceiling for now: 10.
1 point of Intelligence = 2 minutes in the dream.
So, 10 points = 20 minutes in the dream.
Appearing in Tobi's dream, I couldn't help but let out a smile at the beautiful world he had created.
A green meadow, a mother and father hugging him, the kid's dream had conjured up what he had experienced and knew to be the pinnacle of happiness in his few years of living.
It was heartwarming to watch the family, but unfortunately, this scene in front of me was not what I was here for.
Should I influence the dream?
While Intelligence dictated my duration in Tobi's dream, Mental (Willpower) determined how much I could tamper with it.
And as much as I wanted to speed up the scene in front of me, I was also wary of tampering with the boy's mood.
Just as he had happy moments, he had sad ones. I didn't feel like finding myself going through the emotions of a 10-year-old involved in a tragic accident.
Tobi was fragile—one push was all it would take for him to enter the dark.
Deciding to be cautious, I swallowed my urgency and watched, keeping track of time and letting the 10-year-old's immaculate feelings saturate my being.
Is it possible to create a deadly attack from positive feelings? I wondered, knowing the emotions going through me were being registered in my mind.
It was just 6 minutes, but considering I only had 20 to deal with, it felt like forever.
I was relieved when the scene changed, my eyes narrowing as it shifted to one of Tobi with a group of friends entering an airport, carrying baskets of candy and throwing them about.
"Wow..."
Giggs never mentioned the children carrying baskets of sweets, so either he had left that part out, or Tobi had been put in an illusion, or was currently delusional.
I decided not to pay this part of Tobi's dream much heed, and I was right not to, because at its end, Giggs and Grace were holding Tobi in an embrace, their smiles full of love—the scene a replica of when he was in the meadows with his parents.
"Nine minutes," I sighed internally.
The next scene was of Tobi being fed by his mother, and I feared it would take up another chunk of my time, but it ended in under a minute.
And then, what I had been waiting for popped up.
"I can bring your mummy and daddy back."
"How?"
Tobi might have been a child, but children still have a bit of knowledge about how the world works.
Rather than seduce Tobi with sweet words, the man in front of him, with a well-angled jaw, brown hair, and brown eyes, smiled at him. Then, waving his hand, a knife appeared in it.
The child's eyes widened at the trick, but the man in front of him wasn't done.
"I see you have a lot of action figures. What's your favourite one?"
"Spiderman," Tobi quickly said.
"What do you think about a white Spiderman?"
"Huh?"
The man took his hand behind his back with a smile. And while Tobi was still confused about what was coming, he brought it back out, a white Spiderman action figure in his grasp.
"How did you do that?"
The boy really loved Spider-Man.
"I can make the rain fall. I can turn stone to bread. I can make money flow like water... and I can bring your parents back from the dead.
I am God."
