"Mruglglglal!"
A few of the murlocks kicked the crystal with all their might until the Hydra stopped screaming before they went back to their chores.
Their size and appearance made them seem like harmless creatures, but in reality, they were among the most vile creatures in the Tower.
They only fed on one thing, and it happened to be meat. However it wasn't any type of meat, it was still moving.
If the thing they ate died in the middle of their meal, they wouldn't finish it and would rather starve.
'What is that crystal? It reminds me of the Corrupt Shards...'
It would take way too long for him to read the entire notebook so he couldn't figure it out on the spot.
He pushed his finger with great force against the sharp edge of Trevor's shield and, swiftly, pulled it toward himself.
The resulting scar bled profusely, he ignored the tingling pain and held it over the notebook.
Drip drip drip
Just as the first bit touched the surface of the journal, the paper turned to dust. Leo jumped from the now, pile of dust.
Both of the Climbers that laid next to him also jumped up as the sudden disintegration of the notebook startled them too.
'What was that!'
[Mind Archive]
[New information archived]
The Infinite Power Seal Last side project.
The only side project that has shown any sign of progress since we started around 10 months ago. The more Seals are connected, the more power will be pumped into the sealed target.
His Mind Archive fused the notebook into itself and widened the range of information he now had access to.
Whoever the author of the journal must have not had time to write down the full specifications of the Seal and how to break it.
He scoffed at the lack of information before deciding to let the other party know that they found the target.
[We found the Murlocks encampment.]
[We found the Ice Golem cave.]
At the same exact moment, Gloppy contacted him, so now they had to decide which they would do first.
Leo relied on the information from his party members and waited for their decision as he was fine with starting with either.
Amelia said she would rather start with this one since The Fearmonger would be able to come here faster than they would to them.
"What about you Trevor?"
They looked at the tank who was lost in thought.
"I would love if we could close this as fast as possible... couldn't we just split up?"
A very risky idea, but all of them knew that it would end this way. After all, going into the hardest gate in a 4 person team sounded like suicide.
But they all nodded at each other in understanding. They stood up and readied themselves for the fight.
[Change of plans, you are doing that one as a trio. Their weakness should be pretty self-explanatory.]
After making sure they understood what the plan was, and that they should let him know if they found another one of the big crystals.
"Okay! Let's go!"
The summoner took out his staff and created a sea serpent out of all of the Summoner Slots he had.
[Don't hog all of them!]
[Just give me a second.]
'If we are supposed to do it fast, we need to throw them off at the start.'
Trevor ran up towards the village as an enormous laser followed above.
In an instant, half of the village was evaporated as the beam went through it, leaving nothing but ash in its way.
Right after, he recalled the serpent and replaced it with 40 very small ones.

Now that they had the element of surprise, they ran towards the crystal. Amelia looked back from Leo's back, seeing that they were already being chased by a huge group of Murlocks.
Javelins fell around them like rain which slowed them considerably.
Trevor took out his shield and held him over himself, easily blocking the attacks that were supposed to fall on him.
Because of not being able to deflect them with only one hand free, Leo was forced to dodge them.
One after another he kept moving, his fluid movements looked like a dance.
A deadly tango with the grim reaper himself.
They couldn't stop for even a moment though, their plan was to get in and get out once the crystal was destroyed.
The frog riders were rapidly catching up to them, but it was too late to change the plan now.
"We will think of a plan once we destroy the Seal! We can't let it work any longer. "
As they reached the main plaza, they could see the crystal right in front of it. Now they were able to see that it was pumping something out of the ground.
It seemed like the very essence of the gate itself was being sucked into the crystal, then transported through the chains towards the Hydra.
Leo tried to slice the chain while his serpents covered for them, but it didn't work.
He tried to swing again, and again it didn't. The crystal felt like it was made out of something unbreakable.
"Let mhe thry!"
Amelia got off his back and took out her staff. She chanted a magic spell that created a smoke of dust over them.
[Magic Nulification]
Small particles of light fell from the smoke and attached themselves to the Seal.
Its coting began to glow irregularly until it faded completely, the chain lost its attachment to the crystal and disappeared as well.
One of the Murlocks sent an energy pulse towards them through the serpent's defenses, however with Trevor's shield, they were able to not pay attention to anything besides the crystal.
Now that the defenses of the Seal were gone, Leo switched his sword to the Magical Blade Overdrive style and swung it.
In an instant, the Seal cracked and fell to the ground.
The territory around them began to change, from the flat swamp surface to a lush forest as soon as the essence-sucking crystal got destroyed.
Hydra roared in anger as it felt the Seal brake. As soon as it did, the Murlocks scattered out of fear, dropping everything they held behind.
Cracks began to appear in the ground itself as it shook uncontrollably. Trees that were just growing back out got toppled over from the trembling.
[Did you feel that?!]
[Yes, it's our fault.]
They could see a silhouette of a head coming out of the swamp fog. It was rapidly going their way until it got out of the fog.
The head of a Hydra stared right at them, but it didn't feel like a normal Hydra. Usually, their heads were only around two meters long, but this one was over twice that.
And on top of it, a figure of someone in a cloak.
"How did you get inside!"
That person extended their arm out of the robe they wore, revealing that their forearm was coated in black cracks.
Right after a pitch-black spike shot out of the ground under Trevor.
Blood was sprayed everywhere.
