Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 502: Keep Your Opinions to Yourself
Easton Holmes and Lily Turner returned home, and Easton asked Lily to go upstairs to rest first while he had a word with his grandfather and uncle.
Lily didn’t object, and after greeting Callix Linton and Michael Linton, she obediently went upstairs to her room.
"Easton! You..."
"Uncle! Can you change the way you address me in the future?"
Just as Michael was about to speak, Easton interrupted him and raised an objection to being called "Easton boy," saying, "I’m married and soon to be a father, calling me ’Easton boy’ isn’t very appropriate."
Before, he could accept being called "Easton boy," but with age and now being married and soon becoming a father, he felt the nickname no longer suited him.
"You can become a grandfather, but you’ll always be ’Easton boy’ in front of us," Callix unceremoniously retorted against Easton’s suggestion.
Michael, however, had a different view from Callix. He could completely understand Easton’s thinking, "Dad! Easton, now married and with a family, is no longer the young kid he was. We should change the way we address him."
Michael decided to make a change immediately, not only for himself but also urging his own father to change alongside him.
"So what if he’s married and has a family? He’s still forever a child in front of me," Callix verbally stuck to his opinion, but he actually took Michael’s words to heart and planned to change how he addressed Easton in the future.
Easton wasn’t aware of Callix’s true thoughts. Seeing his grandfather so stubborn, he sighed helplessly, "As you wish, Grandpa."
What Grandpa said was true; in front of his grandpa, he’d always be a child. Grandpa could call him whatever he liked, and he couldn’t change that immediately.
"Of course, it’s my way. I’ll call you whatever I want. If you have any objections, keep them to yourself," Callix responded domineeringly, pretending not to notice the helpless expression on Easton’s face.
"Dad! Let’s talk about something else."
Michael intercepted before Easton could speak. He worried that if he didn’t interrupt, Callix and Easton would continue to dwell on this issue, delaying the serious matters they had previously discussed.
Upon Michael’s deliberate reminder, Callix suddenly remembered that they still had important matters to discuss with Easton, so he didn’t continue to linger on the topic.
"Now let’s discuss something between grown-ups," Callix turned slightly, facing Easton as he sat, "You and Lily have been registered for some time now. When are you planning to let our families meet?"
Old Mr. Callix cut straight to the chase. He never liked to beat around the bush.
When Michael mentioned discussing other things, Easton guessed that his grandfather and uncle had something to discuss with him, but he didn’t expect it to be this topic.
Though unexpected, he wasn’t alarmed. He remained calm as usual, "I want to wait a while before discussing it."
Because his parents had caused trouble earlier, her parents were currently upset. He wanted to wait until they calmed down before addressing this matter.
However, he couldn’t let Grandpa know about these issues, as he’d surely worry and get anxious if he knew.
