Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 501: Your Husband, I Am Not a Deity
Regarding the matters that the father and son in the family had already discussed, Easton Holmes and Lily Turner, who were taking a walk in the neighborhood, had no idea at all; they were leisurely strolling along.
"Is your uncle your superior?"
Lily Turner tilted her head to look at Easton Holmes with a face full of curiosity and longing.
"Did you figure it out?"
Easton Holmes didn’t answer Lily’s question but instead teased her with a smile, "Looks like my Lily isn’t so silly after all."
While speaking, he patted her on the head.
"Mr. Easton Holmes! From now on, we’re no longer friends." Lily Turner moved his hand from her head, turned her head away as if angry, and put on a serious face, ignoring the man next to her.
Easton Holmes could tell from Lily’s tone that she wasn’t really angry, but he didn’t expose her. Instead, he swiftly moved to her other side.
His movements were so quick that she was startled without any warning and blurted out, "How did you float over here?"
She hadn’t heard his footsteps, yet he appeared right in front of her, making her genuinely think he floated over. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
"Mrs. Holmes! Your husband is not a deity; he can’t float around." Easton was amused by Lily’s blurted words; his face and eyes were filled with laughter.
With those words, Lily Turner instantly cracked up, unable to hold back her laughter, "If you were a deity, that would be great; you could take me to fly up to the sky and watch the stars."
Saying this, she subconsciously looked up at the sky.
The sky at that moment was dotted with stars, twinkling like they were winking at her.
Lily Turner couldn’t help but raise her hand and wave at the stars, "Hello, little stars!"
Not only did she wave at the stars, but she also greeted them.
Following Lily Turner’s waving direction, Easton Holmes looked up at the starry sky. He stared at the stars for quite a while before slowly pulling back his gaze and looking down at her, "Mrs. Holmes! Are the stars that beautiful?"
She had been staring at those stars for ages, yet she still didn’t intend to look away.
"Much prettier than you."
Lily Turner blurted out casually, and as soon as the words left her mouth, she felt something pinch her waist. She turned away from the stars with displeasure and shot a glare at the culprit, "Why are you pinching me? I was just speaking the truth."
She had meant to express some remorse, but with his pinch, any trace of that thought quickly vanished.
"Just speaking the truth?"
Easton Holmes pinched Lily Turner again, with slightly more pressure this time, "You’re getting bolder with that Amulet to protect you, casually teasing me. I’ll remember this and settle the score with you later."
There was a threatening undertone in his words, and she wasn’t deaf; how could she not catch it?
"I’ll have an Amulet in the future, too."
Lily Turner fearlessly glared at Easton Holmes, removed his hand from her waist, and turned to head home.
The child in her belly would always be her Amulet. She gently touched her still flat belly and silently said, "Son! Mommy will rely on you for protection in the future."
He thought it was a daughter, but she stubbornly believed it was a son.
"Wife! Wait for me."
Seeing Lily Turner heading home, Easton Holmes couldn’t bother with bickering anymore and quickly followed her.
