Lily Turner had just finished sending a text and sat down at the edge of her bed when her phone rang. She quickly picked it up and, with just a glance, she knew it was a call from her sister Alice Turner.

"Sis! How did it go?"

"Don’t worry, Mom won’t be coming over."

Over the phone, Alice could sense Lily’s anxiety and urgency. Not daring to delay, she promptly informed her of the situation.

Through the phone, she heard the sound of car horns.

Alice only gave a soft hum without saying where she was. She didn’t plan to tell Lily what she was about to do, as it would make her worried.

"Just now, my boss called me back to the office, so I need to hurry over. I won’t chat with you for long. After I finish up, I’ll come to see you." To prevent Lily from getting suspicious, she had to say it was her boss calling her.

"Then hurry on. Easton is here with me, so don’t worry." Lily didn’t doubt Alice’s words at all and genuinely believed Alice was heading to the office, so she cut the call quickly to avoid wasting her sister’s time.

This was exactly the situation Alice had hoped for. After hanging up, she let out a long breath, put her phone away, and quickly drove to catch up with Sophia Wood ahead.

As she neared the community where the Turner Family lived, Alice called Christopher Turner to say she would be home for lunch.

As she anticipated, upon hearing she’d be home for lunch, Christopher quickly said he’d come home too and told her to wait for him.

The situation was moving in the direction Alice had expected, and she felt a secret joy in her heart, though she outwardly feigned calmness. She didn’t want her father to catch onto anything.

After saying what needed to be said, she immediately hung up the phone.

With a press on the gas pedal, she drove straight toward the Turner home.
