Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 422: Revisiting Old Matters 1
At night, after Lily Turner fell asleep, Easton Holmes tiptoed from the bed to the sofa.
It was already late at night, but he felt no sleepiness at all. He lay on the sofa facing the ceiling, staring blankly—or rather, deep in thought.
That night, two other people, like Easton, also couldn’t sleep: his parents.
"What’s wrong? Can’t sleep because you’re thinking about her?"
Fabian Holmes tossed and turned with no intention of sleeping. Amelia Linton, lying next to him, immediately thought he was thinking about Ivy Shaw. Annoyed, she turned to face him.
Because of what happened in the afternoon, Fabian was already irritated. Hearing the woman next to him say that, his temper flared, "Don’t make something out of nothing."
After saying that, he turned away from her and lay down.
"How am I making something out of nothing?"
Amelia was already fuming inside, and Fabian’s words and actions were like pouring oil on the fire. She sat up abruptly, turned on the bedside lamp on her side, and pulled him forcefully, "Get up and explain to me who is making something out of nothing." 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
Amelia was strong-willed and quick-tempered, but ever since the incident with Ivy, she had been much more restrained in front of Fabian.
But today, when she heard Sophia Wood suddenly bring up Ivy Shaw again at the Turner Family’s house, it instantly triggered her suppressed anger. Seeing Fabian’s strange behavior, she could no longer control herself.
Fabian was also furious. He sat up, glaring at her: "You! It’s you who’s making something out of nothing!"
Being angry with her, he didn’t hold back his voice when he shouted.
"You’re the one making something out of nothing. If it weren’t for your affair back then, would our family be like this?" Amelia retorted, glaring back at Fabian. Thinking of what happened years ago, her emotions suddenly surged.
Although that incident was over twenty years ago, it still lingered deep in the hearts of Amelia and Fabian. When the right moment came, that memory would leap out from the depths of their hearts.
At this moment, it was the right time, only this time came unexpectedly, leaving both of them momentarily at a loss.
Fabian angrily threw off the blanket covering him, turned, and tried to leave the room.
But as soon as his foot touched the slippers on the floor, Amelia moved over and grabbed his arm, pulling him back forcefully.
"What are you doing?"
Fabian glared furiously at Amelia, then shook off her hand before she could react, quickly got out of bed, and headed towards the door.
"Fabian Holmes! Stop right there!"
Seeing Fabian walk towards the door without a glance back, Amelia grabbed his pillow and threw it at him. Unfortunately, her throw didn’t match his walking pace, and the pillow landed two steps behind him.
Fabian seemed oblivious to the commotion behind him and appeared not to hear Amelia’s shouting. He walked briskly out of the room.
As he left the room, he heard Amelia’s mad shout: "Fabian Holmes! You bastard!"
Bam!
He slammed the door shut forcefully and turned towards the study. He left without a moment’s hesitation or doubt.
"Dad!"
His path was suddenly blocked by someone. Fabian instinctively stopped and raised his eyes to see who was blocking his way.
