Chapter 382: Chapter 382: You’re Just Intent on Annoying Me

After Easton Holmes and Callix Linton agreed on a story, he felt at ease going upstairs to find his wife.

Seeing him push the door open, Lily Turner, who was sitting on the sofa watching TV, turned her head and asked, "Have the guests left?"

She was just asking casually; the answer was already in her mind. Would he come upstairs if the guests hadn’t left?

"They left."

Easton Holmes casually closed the door and walked over to Lily Turner with confident steps. As he approached, he pulled her up, "Don’t watch these unproductive entertainment shows; they’ll lower our child’s intelligence."

As he pulled her up, he picked up the remote and turned off the TV. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

"Easton Holmes! You might as well say my IQ is low. Why roundabout through a TV show?" Lily Turner glared at the man pulling her, but she didn’t shake off his hand. Instead, she obediently walked with him towards the bed.

Easton Holmes tilted his head and glanced at the woman glaring at him, with a slight smile on his lips: "A bit of self-awareness, not bad!"

After saying that, he raised his hand and patted her head, like a teacher praising a good student.

"Easton Holmes! You’re doing this on purpose to annoy me."

Lily Turner slapped away the hand patting her head, then pulled her hand back from the man’s grip, kicked off her shoes, and got into bed, ignoring the man who deliberately upset her.

Seeing this, Easton Holmes followed her onto the bed. But as he was about to lie down, a foot stretched out toward him. He looked along the hand and foot, "Honey! What are you..."

"My IQ is low, so be careful I might lower yours." As Lily Turner spoke, she used her foot to push against Easton Holmes, nudging him toward the edge of the bed, "Stay away from me. I don’t want to be labeled with that."

With that, she used her foot as a hand to push him forcefully.

This girl! Holds grudges, huh?

Easton Holmes raised his hand to catch the foot pressing against him, gently moving it aside, and before Lily Turner could react, he lay down beside her.

"It’s okay, my intelligence has always been stable and won’t be easily lowered." Without giving her a chance to refuse, he domineeringly pulled her into his embrace.

"Easton Holmes! You’re bullying me again, I’m going to call Grandpa and have him deal with you." Lily Turner struggled to get up to find Callix Linton, but the arm holding her was strong, and she barely moved, glaring angrily at the man holding her.

"Easton Holmes! You bully! Let go of me!"

With her legs trapped under the man’s weight and unable to do anything, she had no choice but to use her free hands to push him.

Easton Holmes controlled Lily Turner’s hands with one hand and leaned in to kiss her forehead, "Let’s not trouble Grandpa with this, we’ll handle it ourselves."

She shouted every day about going to find Grandpa to deal with him, but never actually did.

Is she playing the boy who cried wolf game? Doesn’t she know that if she calls out too many times, the words lose credibility?

"We can handle things ourselves, but you must give me a fair chance." As a weak woman, how could she possibly deal with him, a strong man? She was always the one at a disadvantage.

Lily Turner actively sought fairness and opportunities for herself, but she wasn’t confident that Easton Holmes would agree or acknowledge it. Her heart and mouth were not on the same starting line.

Easton Holmes pinched the woman’s cheeks, which were flushed with excitement, and laughed, "Honey! You’re so cute."
