Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 381 I think I can handle this matter well
Harriet didn’t get any more information about Lily Turner from Aunt Li, and naturally, she was disappointed. Her expression turned sour, and she looked completely listless.
Aiden Taylor glanced subtly at the dejected Harriet, thinking she must not be satisfied with today’s outcome, which is why she appeared so downcast.
Worried that Callix Linton might notice something amiss with her demeanor, he decided to leave as soon as possible.
Without a word, he checked his watch and turned to Callix Linton and said, "Old leader! It’s getting late, so we won’t trouble you anymore. We’ll visit you another day."
After finishing his sentence, he turned his head to look at her, who had just sat down beside him, "Let’s go."
He had said this wouldn’t work, yet she insisted on dragging him here. Now, look at the result.
"Okay."
Harriet had long wanted to leave but didn’t know how to bring it up. Aiden’s suggestion was exactly what she wanted, and she immediately responded with an "okay" as soon as he finished talking.
Callix Linton was a sharp person. The moment Aiden Taylor and Harriet walked in today, he felt they were acting strange.
Since the two of them wanted to leave, he did not insist on keeping them.
"It is indeed getting late, so I won’t keep you." Callix Linton looked up at the clock on the wall. For an elderly man like him, it indeed wasn’t early anymore. He gestured to Easton Holmes to see them off, "See your uncle and aunt out for me."
"Oh!"
Easton Holmes responded while standing up, ready to see them out at any moment.
"No need to be so polite."
Both Aiden Taylor and Harriet stood up. As they were rounding the coffee table, Aiden turned to look at Callix Linton sitting on the sofa, "Old leader, we’re leaving."
He said this serious statement before turning around again to leave with his wife.
After seeing the Taylors off, Easton Holmes didn’t immediately go upstairs to find Lily Turner but walked towards the living room instead. However, he had no intention of sitting down. He stopped at the entrance.
"Grandpa! You..."
"Come in!"
Callix Linton waved his hand to cut him off and called Easton Holmes standing at the door to come in.
Seeing his grandfather gesture him in, Easton Holmes didn’t guess what he was up to and walked in with large strides.
Once inside, he sat down beside his grandfather, "Grandpa! If Lily asks who those two people were tonight, just say they were your old subordinates."
To avoid being interrupted, he hastily added in this part.
"Do you think your grandfather is senile, or that I don’t care about my granddaughter-in-law?" How could Callix Linton not understand what was going on in Easton’s mind? He was merely worried that Lily would overthink the matter.
He shared this concern too, which was why he called his grandson in just now.
Easton Holmes only gave a silent smile and didn’t answer Callix’s question. He could tell his grandfather had something to say and waited quietly.
"You’d better handle things well with Evelyn. I don’t want my precious great-grandson involved in any mess." Callix Linton paused and then added, "If you need me to step in, I will do so without hesitation."
Evelyn Taylor had already involved her parents, and the old man didn’t mind using his seniority just this once.
Easton Holmes, however, declined Mr. Linton’s kind offer, shaking his head, "I think I can handle this matter myself."
He spoke with confidence, as if he already had a good solution to the situation.
