Chapter 377: Chapter 377: Now Becoming More Considerate and Sensible

As he watched the figure walking up the stairs, Easton Holmes breathed a sigh of relief. He wasn’t concerned that Lily Turner staying there was inappropriate, but rather worried that sitting there would make her uncomfortable. He was even more worried that she might overthink things after knowing the identities of Aiden Taylor and his wife.

Her emotions had finally calmed down after these days, and he didn’t want her to be stimulated again at this time, as it would not be good for her or the baby in her belly.

It wasn’t until he saw Lily Turner’s figure disappear around the staircase corner that Easton Holmes headed toward the kitchen. Just as he was about to reach the kitchen door, he saw Auntie Li coming out with two steaming cups of tea.

"Auntie! Let me do it." 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

Easton Holmes walked over, took the two cups of tea from Auntie Li’s hands, and turned to stride back to the living room.

Seeing Easton Holmes walk in alone, a change flickered across Harriet White’s face, though it was so subtle that it was almost imperceptible.

Aiden Taylor, however, showed no change. He merely glanced at Easton Holmes as he walked in and then continued his warm conversation with Callix Linton.

"Easton! We aren’t outsiders; you don’t have to be so polite." As Easton Holmes approached, Harriet White stood up and reached out to take the teacup from his hands, only to grasp at air.

Before Harriet could reach out, Easton’s hand holding the tea had already moved aside. "The tea is a bit hot."

He explained while placing the teacups on the coffee table in front of Aiden Taylor and his wife.

After setting the cups down, he walked to a seat some distance away and sat down.

"Easton is really considerate, far better than our two at home." Harriet White’s awkwardness instantly turned to admiration upon hearing Easton Holmes’s warm explanation. She glanced at Callix Linton, her eyes full of envy, "Old leader! You are really fortunate."

This praise was absolutely genuine, without any ulterior motives. She was purely complimenting Easton Holmes.

Being praised, Easton’s face beamed with joy, even more than when he was praised himself. "Yes, ever since our Easton boy got married, he has become more considerate and mature."

Callix Linton’s smiling eyes concealed some subtle emotions, hidden so well that the other three didn’t notice.

But Easton Holmes picked up on the hidden meaning in Callix Linton’s words. His grandpa was ostensibly praising him, but in fact, he was praising his wife.

"Easton! I have to say, it’s not right to keep something as significant as your marriage from all of us. It’s one thing to keep it from outsiders, but even we were kept in the dark." Harriet White had been wondering how to bring up Easton’s marriage, and now Callix Linton had given her the perfect opportunity. She couldn’t miss such a chance.

Easton Holmes wasn’t surprised or shocked by what Harriet White said, as he had already anticipated this.

"This can’t be blamed on Easton. It was my idea to keep it from everyone." Callix Linton spoke up before Easton could, taking all the responsibility upon himself. "Lily is a public figure, and it’s not suitable for Easton to ’show his face’ too much. The fewer people who know about their marriage, the better."

Upon hearing this, only one person felt surprised and confused, and that was Mrs. Harriet White. "I noticed other celebrities are quite high-profile about their weddings, making a big deal out of it. I think that’s fine; stars are just people too, and getting married is normal."
