Thomas Fisher got out of the car, following Alice Turner’s push, but he didn’t return to his own car. Instead, he walked around the front of the car and headed towards her driver’s side.
As soon as he came over, he opened the car door and leaned in to nudge her as she sat in the driver’s seat, "Move over there."
He wasn’t planning on letting her get out of the car; he wanted her to get up and just climb over.
"I really can do it myself..."
"Do you plan on just leaving me hanging like this?"
Alice wanted to refuse, but she only got halfway through her sentence before Thomas interrupted her directly. Seeing his determined attitude, she got up and climbed over to sit in the passenger seat.
Seeing how cooperative she was, he curled his lips into a smile.
Once Thomas was seated in the driver’s seat, he immediately drove off, but Alice couldn’t stay calm. She turned her head to look at his car parked at the entrance of the complex, and worriedly reminded him, "You’re just leaving it like that? How will they drive your car when they come?"
Didn’t he lock the car? That can’t be right, can it?
"He has my car keys, you don’t need to worry about it." Hearing her worried reminder, he glanced at her as he drove.
Only after hearing this did Alice settle more comfortably into her seat. "Take me to a hotel near our company first."
Her dad didn’t know about her impending divorce yet, so she couldn’t go home to stay. For tonight, she’d stay at a hotel, and as soon as she found a place tomorrow, she’d move in immediately.
"You’re still treating me like I’m just decoration. With me here, do you really think I’d let you stay in a hotel?" Thomas glanced sideways at Alice, feeling quite displeased that she kept treating him as if he were just decoration.
Upon hearing this, Alice turned to face him abruptly, "You want to take me home with you? I’m not going! Your parents will kick me out for sure once they find out about my situation."
When he said he wouldn’t let her stay at a hotel, her first thought was that he was going to take her home. Faced with this situation, she immediately refused.
Not to mention that she hadn’t even divorced yet, if he suddenly brought her home, his parents would definitely look at her with suspicion, and her reputation in their eyes would be completely ruined.
"With me here, do you think they’d kick you out?" Thomas did plan to take Alice to stay at his home, but it wasn’t the home he shared with his parents; it was his private residence. She misunderstood his intention, yet he didn’t bother to explain to her.
Just a moment ago, Alice was full of doubt, but now hearing him say this, she really thought he was going to take her home. Her emotions became instantly agitated, "Thomas Fisher! Stop the car!"
Though she was very agitated, she still maintained some sense. When she shouted for him to stop the car, she didn’t reach over to grab the steering wheel from him.
"Don’t get so worked up, I was just joking with you." Thomas initially wanted to tease Alice a bit, but seeing her so agitated, he worried she’d do something irrational, so he quickly told her he was just joking.

As she said this, she gave his arm another playful smack, still holding a grumpy tone.
"Even if you aren’t scared into something, I’ll be responsible for you. I’ll take full responsibility for you for the rest of my life." Thomas’s expression at this moment was earnest, with not even a trace of insincerity.
