Chapter 1023: Chapter 1023: I Can’t Wait Until Tomorrow

Alice Turner didn’t call Thomas Fisher, nor did she hail a ride. She decided to drive herself away from here, with her car and luggage leaving today, saving her the trouble of coming back just to drive the car away later.

After loading the luggage into the car, she drove away.

Due to her injured left hand, Alice felt somewhat uncomfortable holding the steering wheel. For the safety of herself and others, she tried to control her driving speed.

Huh?

Why hasn’t that guy left yet?

When Alice drove to the entrance of the community, she saw Thomas Fisher’s car still parked where she had just gotten out. Instinctively, she wanted to turn around to avoid him, but before she could act, she heard him honking to signal her.

Now that she had been spotted, it was impossible to hide.

Alice drove out of the community entrance and, when passing by Thomas’s car, she pulled over steadily.

As soon as she stopped the car, he got out of his and walked briskly towards her.

Thomas Fisher directly opened the door and got into Alice’s car. The moment he sat down, he started to reprimand her with displeasure, "Don’t you know your hand is injured? How can you drive? If you need to go out, can’t you call me? Do you think I’m just a decoration?"

The reproachful words were full of concern, and his tone was anxious with worry. There wasn’t a trace of blame on his face, only concern and questioning.

"How could I think of you as a decoration? Of course, I can’t." Alice knew Thomas wasn’t truly blaming her but was worried about her driving safety. She felt touched and warm inside.

Thomas poked her forehead with his finger and sighed helplessly, "What urgent matter made you have to drive out?"

He assumed she had something urgent to do and didn’t think much beyond that.

"I’m bringing everything I own out."

Alice instinctively glanced at the back seat of the car. She now somewhat regretted not putting the suitcase in the trunk earlier.

Following her gaze, Thomas looked at the car’s back. Only then did he notice the suitcase on the back seat, and his eyebrows immediately furrowed. He turned his gaze back to her, "What’s going on? Didn’t you say you were going to look at an apartment tomorrow?"

Something about this situation felt off, definitely off.

"I can’t wait until tomorrow," Alice said it lightly, as if the matter were just as simple as she made it sound.

Thomas didn’t believe her explanation at all, staring at her repeatedly. Feeling uneasy under his gaze, she pushed him, "Stop staring at me. You won’t find anything new by looking."

She evaded the topic, playfully joking with him.

"Of course I will find something new."

While talking to Alice, Thomas took out his phone and, under her puzzled gaze, dialed a number.

"Come to New Flame City right now. My car is parked at the community entrance. Drive it back to the company," he instructed once the person on the other end answered the call.

Hearing what Thomas said, Alice realized he was calling someone to drive his car back. She didn’t need to think to understand why he was doing this. She quickly refused, "I can drive myself. You should drive your own car."

She pushed him slightly, urging him to get out and return to his own car.
