"Shadow charged: Execution ground"...

That's right, Layla was feeling a bit sadistic that day. So she used the very same spell the ray used. However, hers was black.

And... It couldn't be blocked. It steadily made its way toward the ray, while it tried its best to attack and destroy it.

Which was going horribly as its attacks mostly fazed through the ice.

Dodging was the only viable choice. However, that was extremely challenging when you were being attacked from all sides.

So, in no time at all, the ray was missing several chunks of its body that had been bitten off by the black wyrms.

It screamed in pain every time a piece was bitten off as it struggled.

Honestly, it was a bit sad to see. However, Layla was just reversing its attack really. So what was happening was partly its fault.

Though hers was obviously the hell version. Hell, she even decided to call it, [Shadow charged: Hellish Execution Ground]

As that's what it was. Even encasing yourself in a thick ice sphere wouldn't keep you safe.

At some point, the ray tried risking it all by trying to charge in one direction and escaping.

Unfortunately, the more it pushed forward, the more it got hurt.

So it had to stop.

However, it wasn't done. Resolution appeared in its eyes then... It's ice turned darker... Just like the male ray before it.

Layla's eyes narrowed slightly. Unlike Chloe, she took notice of the change.

She felt a sinister energy mix into the ice and taint it. However, it did make the ice stronger.

It was quite apparent to her. Maybe because of her shadow element which was a branch of darkness.

Surprisingly it could also completely touch her black ice now.

This was definitely something unexpected. As for what was happening, she immediately came to a conclusion.

What she was witnessing was definitely hatred energy. Though the quantity didn't seem to be that much.

But that was beside the point as that minuscule amount was enough to fight her ice back.

This gave the ray some breathing room. Though it looked like it would drop dead at any moment now.

Interestingly enough, it didn't take the chance to escape but made its way toward Layla instead.

Its chest area was glowing a sinister blue.

"Tsk. So unoriginal" Jade cursed from the sidelines.

However, Layla didn't say anything, the calm expression on her face remained...

Then she created a short blade. It was black like all the other ice. It even looked too detailed and beautiful to be a weapon honestly. Especially with the weird holy glow around it that contrasted with the sinister aura below.

Anyway, before the ray could understand what was going on, she disappeared. Then everything went dark for the ray.

It was dead before it even registered.

Layla knew how though. She was currently looking at the reason why. The short blade in her hands. It still looked pure like it hadn't been used yet.

But that was far from the truth. After all, in front of her, the dead ray lay. Both pieces of it... That's right. She has split it in two in one swing.

"So that's what happens when you add belief energy to a shadow-charged weapon huh?" Layla spoke to herself.

She then reached down to pick the core that was now floating in space.

Just like Chloe before her, she had killed her opponent before they could successfully detonate their cores.

As for which way was more brutal, that's for you to decide...

"Nice kill. I didn't know belief energy would be so strong. That looked like you were cutting butter with a hot knife. I can't wait until I try it" Muku spoke after coming over with the others.

"Can you move your hands?" Layla said while looking at Muku's hands that were firmly on Chloe's butt.

"This is how I'm keeping her steady okay. I didn't want to do this either" Muku defended himself with no intention of moving his hands.

"...." Layla didn't say anything else.

She knew him well enough to know that he wasn't gonna back down unless Chloe woke up and got off, herself.

As for the fact that his reasoning was super flimsy and could easily be debunked, she chose to ignore it.

After that they all watched Raya collect the leftovers for snacks later.

After all, beasts return to their original forms after death.

Then they split up to locate the planet. Gaia had definitely thrown them as far as she could the brat.

And there was no repatriation system in place after they were done fighting. So they had to look for the planet themselves.

It sucked as they had no experience in such matters, so they didn't know where to go.

Muku swore that he would find a way to get back at the brat eventually. How dare she disrespect the planet's strongest defenders?

So what if it wasn't confirmed? He felt that there was no way there would be stronger people than them out there. So they were definitely the strongest.

Though he wasn't too mad about it. After all, he had Chloe in his arms as he searched so he wasn't bored in the slightest.

"When are you going to stop pretending? I know you've been up for a while now. Or maybe you really like having your butt groped? If that's so, then just say it and I won't stop" Muku suddenly whispered in Chloe's ear.

A chill went down her spine as her face turned red.

"N...no! That's not it at all. I thought it would be awkward if I woke up while you were doing that. So I decided to wake up after you stopped. How was I to know that you wouldn't stop even after an hour?" Chloe defended herself feeling wronged at the same time.

How was she the one having her character questioned when he was the one groping her?

"Oh... Well, then it was a misunderstanding. I was doing it to make you reveal yourself... Mostly" Muku replied.

The latter part was in a lower voice. But Chloe heard it and rolled her eyes.

"Okay, I understand. Can you stop now? And couldn't you have carried me on your back or something? Why did it have to be your front? Your banana has been poking me for a while now... Wait, banana? Ahhh! You pervert! Let me go!" Chloe screamed while replying after realising something.

She hadn't thought about it clearly before since she was distracted but now? How can he be so shameless? And wouldn't it have entered long ago had there been no clothes between them? Such a shameless fellow!

"Okay okay. But have you recovered enough?" Muku replied while letting her go. However, he still supported her with his telekinesis.

As for the obvious tent he had pitched. He didn't care. She already knew about it after all. And why would a husband hide such things from their wife?

Especially when she was the one who caused it. Sure they hadn't done it yet, but that changed nothing!

"Let's continue like this from now on" Chloe replied.

She couldn't support herself yet, but she refused to be carried again.

"Fine. But I have something better" Muku spoke then created a silver disk with two luxurious chairs on it and a table. He then took out some fruits and placed them on the table.

After that, he helped Chloe into her seat before taking his own.

Chloe obediently did as she was told out of curiosity. She wanted to know where he was going with it.

"What do you think? I figured since we're here anyway, we might as well have a space date. The very first people to do so, gazing at stars up close and whatnot. Maybe if you ask for a star, I'll get one for you. Doesn't that just sound romantic?" The more Muku spoke, the more Chloe's eyes glowed.

She really liked his idea.

If she had the strength she might have gotten up and given him a tight hug for being so thoughtful.

Unfortunately, she could barely move her arms. The move really had taken everything out of her. Here body was pushed to the limit.

"This is great! You're the best! I'm really happy. I don't know how to show you my gratitude" Chloe spoke excitedly with a beautiful smile on her face.

"Hmm. I have an idea" Muku spoke then leaned over to her, touched her chin gently then went in for a kiss.

Chloe didn't resist, she was more than happy to go alone with it at the moment. Her shyness has been blown away by the gesture.

And so, the two shared a romantic kiss in space.

No, Muku didn't jump her after that. He was better than that. At least now that his bloodline was under control. If it was before, then yeah, he would have ruthlessly jumped her.

But in his sane state, he knew when to, and when not to do something...

Chloe appreciated the fact that he didn't go for more at such a time... Though honestly, she wouldn't have refused had he made such moves. She was getting more and more interested in it knowing that a few of them had already slept with Muku and were doing it regularly.

Even Layla had tasted the forbidden fruit. Now she was glowing every day.
