Chapter 82: His Heart Belongs To Her

After two hours of looking at and examining the tree houses, caves, and the replica of the river with the waterfalls, the Royal family went to the lounge area and rested. There was a restaurant at the center of the complex where everyone have their lunch.

While the others were having their dessert and resting, Prince Ibarra went back to the log cabin. He went to Ibarra’s room and studied Danaya’s photos. He gingerly sat on the bed and continued to study the paintings. He lifted his feet and put them on the bamboo bed and at the same time, he lay down his back on the bed. Despite the fact that there was a mattress, he could still feel the hardness of the bed pressing his back. It was very uncomfortable.

He placed his hands under his head, his palms touching the base of his head. His eyes widened when he looked at the faces on the wall. Different faces of Danaya but the same sparkling eyes filled with love were looking down at him. He pulled his cell phone from his pocket and took a few photos then he continued to stare at the gallery, especially the one where she was laughing. Amaya did not have her mother’s eyes.

"After all these years you have not gotten over her yet?" A cold voice came from outside the doorframe. Ibrahim’s room did not have a door.

Nelida’s expression was very ugly. She bit her lips, and they almost bleed. She lifted her left foot and placed them on the floor. The distance between the floor of the room from the ground was two steps. She cling to the door frame with both of her hands and brought her body up.

’Damn! Why didn’t they put a stair on this? Hmmp, this is really not convenient’ She approached the bed while studying the paintings on the wall which were beautifully framed and covered by a kind of fireproof glass.

"You knew very well to whom my heart belongs." Ibarra closed his eyes then he opened them again.

"Too bad her heart belonged to someone else and never beat for you," Nelida said sarcastically.

Ibrarra’s face remained stoic and ignored her.

"Why can’t you forget her? Why can’t you love me even a little? We are sisters. And somehow I looked like her. Tell me, why can’t you love me even for a little bit."

Ibarra was annoyed. "Because your heart is vicious." He stood from the bed and left without looking back.

Nelida stood frozen in her place for a few minutes. Then, she turned sharply to look at the faces of her sister plastered on the wall.

"Why are you doing this to me? Even though you are long gone, he never stopped loving you. What is it in you? What do you have that I don’t have?" She glared at the portrait of the young Danaya whose innocent eyes were looking back at her. ’Damn that Ibrahim! He perfectly captured the purity in her sister’s eyes.’

Nelida wanted to scream and throw some hard objects into the wall. Blinded by hate, she thought that one of Danaya’s portraits was looking at her with mockery in her eyes. She felt suffocated and so she hurriedly left the room and went back to the lounge area to find her twins.

Tatiana stopped live streaming during lunch. She actually earned a lot of gifts from her viewers especially when she was filming Amaya’s toilet and bathroom.

Her viewers had requested her to do a demo of how to flush a toilet which was just a hole in the middle of the shack, with the use of a shovel and sand. Of course, she did not do it but asked an attendant to do it for her.

’Oh boy, I don’t think I can relieve myself with that’

’Geeze, that is much better than doing it in the open. Just imagine yourself if you are left in a forest and suddenly you have a stomach ache.’

’The princess is truly pitiable. She must have a very difficult life.’

’I don’t pity her. I envy her. She has such a colorful and carefree life. Imagine you are on your own and you can do anything you want... No nosy parents.’

’The girl that commented just now, I am with you, girl. I envy the freedom.’

After an hour of resting, the group continued touring the museum. They came to the spot of the plane crash. There was a replica of the upper part of the airplane that became a mangled mass of metal.

"The people who worked on the museum are very talented. The vegetation looked real, and so did the snakes that were hanging on the tree. Amaya turned to look at Marx who was in a daze. He was reminiscing about the time they were chased by the anaconda.

"How did you build this huge infrastructure in a very short time?" Amaya was curious.

"I employed a lot of people. Besides, most of the walls are pre-fabricated so they were installed effortlessly."

"This is very beautiful Marx. I feel that I am still in Miraga. When I get lonely I can go here anytime right?" Amaya turned to him and spoke gently. She was standing close to him so he felt her breath caressing his shoulder.

Suddenly, there was a shout of a young girl followed by a commotion.

"What happened Ella?" Amaya asked her younger cousin.

"Oh, it is nothing she stepped on the snake and thought it is real." Donello volunteered the information.

"Yeah, it is real! It hissed and its eyes even blinked and it let out it’s two forked tongue" Danella was shaking.

"Sorry if it frightened you. It is embedded with a chip that has the commands to make it move and hiss when it senses movement."

"I see. Thank you Marx. Now I am no longer scared." Danella spoke, her eyes filled with gratitude.

"Aya, come here. I am going to show something" Marx pulled her and they entered a door. Amaya followed him obediently.

"I mentioned earlier, that this is a living museum and a kind of theme park. I am building an annex and once it is done, we can install the rides"

"Rides?" Amaya frowned.

Marx took out his phone and searched for a theme park and shoved the phone in front of Amaya.

Amaya watched the video for a while and a bloom appeared on her face.

"Wow! This looks thrilling. I hope it can be finished soon. I want to ride." Amaya blabbered excitedly.

Marx just chuckled. She passed back his phone to him.

"You will be the first customer and you can ride all you want."

When they came back, they continued to lead the group. They climbed the replica of the volcano, which was just around three meters tall. When they got down from the volcano, they were in an entrance of another cave.

When they went inside the cave, they found out that it was just like a tunnel. The content’s of Ibrahim’s journal was printed on one side of the wall while on the other side was a mural of what was described on the journal. It depicted the early stages of Amaya and the difficulties Ibrahim encountered during his early years on the island.

Prince Ibarra stood transfixed as he read the writings on the wall. The one who did it was able to imitate Ibrahim’s handwriting. He only moved after reading one section of the wall. A complicated emotion was reflected on his face.

Marx was watching Ibarra and studied his reaction. Not everything in the journal was written on the wall as those were about the treasures and the rare metals that Ibrahim discovered in the island.

Amaya on the other side of the wall was giggling as she recounted to her grandparents, cousins, uncles and aunts the events in her life depicted in the mural.

When they exited the tunnel, they were back on the beach.

Amaya saw the rock where they used to harvest salt. There was also a fish trapped inside a bamboo basket placed in shallow waters. There was actually no water. It was just an illusion created by the light.

After walking a few meters, they were back where they started earlier.

King Duncan did not know what to feel about what he had seen. He did not know that the younger of his twins were capable of building those things single-handedly. No wonder, a person like Marx Skylar became his fan. He now understood how Amaya was able to survive alone in the jungle even after his death.

A group of photographers clapped their hands.

"What a beautiful museum. It was worth it." His remarks were loud that everybody have heard him.

"What do you mean by worth it? You didn’t buy a ticket to enter and did not pay for the meal. Practically, you spent nothing." a female reporter berated him.

"Okay, Okay! I admit that I did not spend a coin to get here. But my time is precious."

"You two, stop bickering. Do you think you are still a kid? Look! The Royal Family is getting their family photo. Let’s go."

The pair who were exchanging blows in their mind finally settled and followed their supervisor. The female took her camera and started snapping photos of the Royal Family.

After the Royal Family were done with their visit, the museum was opened to the public. A tall handsome man with deep grey eyes were the first in line to enter.
