Chapter 347: The Jealous Twin 2

Danella was busy with school and did not concern herself with family matters. If it was true that Amaya’s lineage was transferred to the Uncle that she never met, then would that mean that her title as the first princess was revoked?

"Mother, does that mean I am now the first princess?" She asked expectantly.

The princess consort sighed. "Unfortunately, she is still the first princess. She is older than you, so she is your Grandpa’s eldest granddaughter."

Danella’s expression soured.

"Darling, you have to learn to please your grandparents more. Because you don’t spend time with them, they are closer to your cousin. Besides, they felt guilty because Amaya grew up in the jungle for fifteen years of her life, and because of that, they are making it up to her." Nelida explained.

Danella expressed her frustration, "Grandmother is always so biased. I dislike going to see her because she constantly inquires about Amaya and insists that I visit her in her palace." Danella pouted as she spoke.

"My dear, please stop feeling upset. Freshen up and return to the banquet hall. Everyone is rejoicing over your brother’s victory. It’s important for you to be there and participate. You should be sharing in your brother’s joy – after all, Donello is your twin."

Danella did not move. Her mother glared at her.

"You should be smart. Come on, fix yourself. I am returning as people might gossip about us if they did not see us on such a happy occasion."

Danella hesitantly rose from her seat and made her way to the dresser, where she meticulously touched up her makeup, paying close attention to every detail.

The princess consort lovingly walked over to her daughter and carefully tidied her hair, which had become disheveled from resting on the bed. She then gently guided her daughter’s head and directed her to look in the mirror.

"My darling daughter is very beautiful. It will be your debut and your time to shine in a few weeks. You will be conferred with an official title just like your brother. I will make sure that the entire Lireya has its eyes on you."

Danella stood before the mirror, her gaze fixed on the reflection staring back at her. She couldn’t help but notice the uncanny resemblance she bore to her mother. From the shape of her eyes to the curve of her lips, it was as if she had inherited every feature from her mother. Her brother, in contrast, was the spitting image of their father. As she studied her own reflection, she longed to possess her father’s captivating eye color and the distinctive arc of his eyebrows, both of which were defining traits of the Rocas family.

After carefully adjusting her hair, the mother and her daughter gracefully exited the room and made their way towards the elegant banquet hall.

It was late at night in Lireya. The banquet hall was filled with people savoring their wine and enjoying the lively atmosphere.

The crown prince stood in the center of the platform, encircled by his ministers. As he spoke, his voice carried the weight of authority and concern, as he discussed the future and legacy of his beloved son.

"I want to clarify that Donello’s impressive archery skills were not inherited from me. Instead, it was his elder sister who initially trained him for two years, followed by a rigorous three-month training program. Therefore, his victory today is solely due to his own hard work and dedication. I must also express my gratitude to Princess Amaya for her unwavering support, coaching, and mentorship. Without Amaya’s guidance, I believe Donello would not have achieved the success he did today."

Ibarra strongly disliked when people compared his son to himself. His past actions were a source of shame for him, and he was determined to ensure that his son was not linked to those actions in any way.

It was at the time when Ibarra was speaking well about Princess Amaya when Nelida and Danella entered the banquet hall. Because Ibarra’s voice was loud and deep, they heard his praises of Amaya. Nelida’s heart seemed pricked by a needle. She clenched her fist and gritted her teeth.

Despite the circumstances, Nelida maintained a gracious smile and exuded the regal poise expected of a princess consort. She gracefully interacted with the court officials, acknowledging their well-wishes, all the while making an effort to involve Danella in the conversations.

Princess Danella was uncomfortable mingling with the middle-aged ministers and court officials. She did not want to be part of the celebration but her mother held onto her wrist.

"Nelida, come here," Ibarra called out to his wife Nelida, summoning her to come closer with a sense of urgency in his voice.

Nelida wasted no time and went straight to Ibarra.

"Organize a grand welcome party to honor and celebrate the incredible achievements of Amaya, Donello, and all the other athletes who took part in the Battle of the Titans. We have already secured two gold medals, as well as a few bronze and silver medals. This outstanding success is truly unprecedented and definitely calls for a joyous celebration!" Ibarra was beaming with pride as he gave out the instructions.

"I will follow your instructions, Your Highness," Nelida said obediently.

One thing that Ibarra liked about Nelida was her unwavering obedience. She consistently adhered to Ibarra’s wishes and commands.

"Danella, in two year’s time, you should also participate in the Battle of the Titans. You have two years to prepare for archery and equestrian. You are actually lucky. Your brother can coach you and you also have your elder sister."

Danella’s facial expression turned sour. Nelida held her hand and tried to squeeze it.

"Dad, I’m not really into sports. Instead, I’d love to participate in the upcoming International piano competition next month," Danella pouted.

Prince Ibarra frowned. While the piano competition was okay, ’Battle of the Titans’ was still the most prestigious competition in the whole world. Why was Danella not interested?

"The decision is not yours to make. As a member of the Rocas family, it is expected that all Rocas princes and princesses take part in the biennial event."
