Raised From The Wild-Chapter 345: The Internet Storm
Princess Amaya hurried towards the arena, her pace nearly a jog as she aimed to arrive as quickly as possible. A sigh of relief escaped her as she arrived to find that the men’s semi-finals had just finished.
As she scanned the bleachers, her eyes landed on Prince Raquim, seated on the right wing with a somber look on his face. However, as soon as he caught sight of the Princess, a radiant smile illuminated his face, causing the dimples at the corners of his mouth to deepen. The women beside him were visibly enthralled, eagerly snapping pictures with Raquim as the backdrop.
"Princess Amaya couldn’t help but tease, "What happened to you? You look like you’ve lost a fortune in a bet!"
"Argo lost in the semi-finals. He just finished fifth place." He grumbled. "During my time, at least I am a silver medalist."
"Your brother is still young. He still has a chance in the next biennial." Amaya tried to comfort him. "Others even didn’t get to the quarterfinals."
"Hey, how did your dressage and horse jumping go? I’m sorry I couldn’t watch; I had to stay here," said Prince Raquim, changing the subject as his mood brightened.
Amaya mentioned that there was an incident in the dressage arena. A horse became uncontrollable, causing some chaos, but fortunately, the situation was quickly brought under control.
"An unexpected incident? Did you sustain any injuries?" Prince Raquim displayed sincere worry.
"I wasn’t involved in the accident," Amaya realized that she did not answer Raquim’s first question, so she followed up with, "Both Apollo and Artemis did well."
Raquim’s eyes lit up with excitement as he exclaimed, "That is fantastic news! It seems like you are on track to win another medal for Lireya. Lireya is truly fortunate to have someone as talented as you."
Amaya smiled. Their conversation was cut short when the competition started.
Prince Donello scanned the crowd and waved excitedly when he found his sister Amaya and Raquim on the bleachers. His face brightened as if he found his anchor.
Amaya waved back and then gave him an okay sign. He was fighting against the current world champion in the men’s individual. Amaya was confident about Donello’s archery skills. She started training him when she won their school’s sports event championships two years ago. Then, despite Aunt Nelida’s disagreement, she sought her grandpa and Daddy Ibarra’s help to force Donello to train with her for three months in Maharlika Palace. While Donello could not consistently hit the bull’s eye, he’s arrows would always land in the inner ring.
While the two royals were busy watching the archery with bated breath, a new topic, ’Lireya’s princess suspected of harming a fellow dressage contestant’s horse,’ was trending on the internet. It surpassed her previous trending topic when she was hailed as a hero for saving Monica and her stellar dressage performance.
IAmAPrincess: ’I could not believe that the princess would do that. I think it was just a misunderstanding. She has no grudge against Monica. Besides, Monica is not a threat to her. If she wanted to hurt a horse, then why not go for Adelle’s horse? It does not make sense.’
LadyOfJustice: ’@IamAPrincess, your analysis is spot on. I agree with you. Didn’t everyone notice that there seemed to be an unseen force that wanted to ruin Princess Amaya’s reputation? I want to make a bet. A fellow athlete who found Princess Amaya as a threat is behind this.’
TheGoddessVenus: ’@LadyOfJustice, how bold of you to speculate like that? Aren’t you afraid of receiving a lawyer’s letter or your account being blocked? Do you have evidence? If you don’t, then don’t insinuate. If I were you, I would not seek death.’
LadyOfJustice: ’@GoddessVenus, why should I be afraid? I am simply expressing my opinion. What happened to freedom of speech?’
TheGoddessVenus: ’Slander and freedom of speech are two different things. If you are accusing someone and you don’t have evidence, then it is slander.’
LadyOfJustice : I have evidence. Just follow this link.
The netizens silently watching the banter between three people clicked on the link and were redirected to the official website of the Battle of the Titans. They shared the video of Princess Amaya entering the stables and feeding her two horses.
JustPassingBy: @LadyofJustice, Princess Amaya is innocent. Everyone, follow the link shared above, and you will see how beautiful the princess is. I hope that she can join the entertainment industry. She is more beautiful than the top actress.
IAmAPrincess: Heh, the princess is destined to do greater things. Why burden her with trivial matters? What is so good about the entertainment industry? Princess Amaya is a renowned jewelry designer and artist. Her paintings can fetch no less than ten million, so tell me, why should she become an actress?
TheGoddessVenus: ’@IAmAPrincess Why do I feel you are a paid poster?
IAmAPrincess: ’@GoddessVenus, You are the paid poster. I admit that I am an avid fan of Princess Amaya, but I am not a paid poster.
LadyOfJustice suddenly stopped responding as she was focused on watching the archery event.
Amaya’s cheers echoed through the arena every time Donello’s arrows found their mark in the inner ring. Meanwhile, his opponent effortlessly hit the bullseye with their first arrow. However, during the second set, the world champion’s arrow veered slightly off course, landing on the second ring instead. Gasps filled the air from the left side of the stands, occupied by the champion’s supporters.
The champion’s small error ultimately prevented him from winning the gold medal.
When Donello released his final arrow, it sailed through the air and struck the center of the target with precision. Princess Amaya’s face lit up with joy as she leaped into the air, clapping her hands with excitement. She was very calm when fighting for the gold medal in her event because she knew her capability. She was sure that she would not miss the bulls-eye. However, it was different for Donello. She trained him. His winning was akin to her hitting a perfect bulls-eye.
Princess Amaya, with childlike delight, left the bleachers, ran toward Donello, and hugged him.
In Lireya, Danella wore a scowl as she witnessed the interaction between her twin brother and Amaya.
"Isn’t she overacting? She is not even a half-sister."
The rejoicing that filled Asteria’s entertainment room suddenly died down.
