Raised From The Wild-Chapter 333: Battle of the Titans 1
Princess Amaya slept peacefully that night. She still dreamt about Marx watching over her. Perhaps it was the dream that brought her the feeling of security she used to have when Marx was still around, that caused her to sleep soundly.
Amaya and Donello went to the restaurant that morning but did not see Charles Gray. However, they ran into Prince Raquim and King Ralden. Amaya found out that her Uncle Sapiro had arrived, but she was curious as to why he hadn’t come to have his breakfast yet.
"Could it be that Uncle was too tired last night and still asleep in his room?" Prince Donello speculated.
"He must be. He arrived during the wee hours of the morning." Princess Amaya did not think being late for breakfast was a cause for concern.
"Amaya, Donello, can I sit with you?" Raquim’s charming voice interrupted the conversation between the two siblings.
"Sure!" Donello replied immediately, not giving Amaya a chance to complain. Raquim accompanied Amaya as they went around to get the food.
Princess Amaya opted for a light meal. She took a sandwich and some fruit. Raquim was a heavy eater, so she returned to their assigned table while Raquim took some more food.
Princess Amaya was surprised to find King Ralden and his young wife sharing their table. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
The King of Ra-Iya greeted Amaya with a pleasant voice. "You looked good in your attire today, Princess," he said. Amaya was wearing a yellow midi summer dress.
Princess Amaya murmured her thanks and seated beside Donello opposite King Ralden. She greeted the king’s young wife politely. She looked a little bit like Gamaru. She wanted to talk about the earthquake that took the lives of all her loved ones, but Princess Amaya knew that it was a sensitive topic, so she refrained from talking.
"Princess, if you don’t have an appointment this evening, I would like to invite you to dinner. I have some business I want to discuss with you. You can take your brother with you if you like."
Princess Amaya expertly sliced the big sandwich into smaller pieces that she could easily swallow.
"What business are you discussing, Your Majesty?" Amaya asked curiously.
"It is about the new supplement that the company, Amazing Nature, has recently released.
Princess Amaya nodded in understanding. "Okay, Your Majesty. But I have a condition. My brother and I need to rest at 9:00 p.m., so we should be done by then."
King Ralden’s eyes flickered. He hoped to spend more time with the princess to entrap her, but he understood that the timing was not right. He could not, however, extend his stay in Uropa. He had a country to run, after all.
"Alright, Princess. I’ll meet you and Donello at the lobby by 6:00 pm."
"Greetings, Your Majesty." Prince Raquim greeted the king of Ra-Iya, but one could tell that tension was in the air. It was obvious that they didn’t like each other’s company.
The rest of the breakfast was spent amiably. King Ralden, despite Raquim’s presence, livened up the environment by telling stories about Ra-Iya and Zanzara’s pregnancy.
Princess Amaya did not want to be disrespectful but King Ralden’s wife was eating elegantly slow that Amaya thought she would finish in an hour. She still had to change into her archery outfit.
"Pardon me, King Ralden. I still have to change, and I am running out of time." Princess Amaya stood and cast Donello a glance. The young prince stood up and apologized before following his elder sister to the elevators.
...
Princess Amaya arrived with Donello at the archery arena a few minutes before the women’s individual semi-finals. The medals would be awarded that day so after completing the semi-finals, the athletes will compete for the gold medal.
Princess Amaya was wearing an all-black outfit. Her body-hugging shirt was sleeveless, but only a part of her arm was exposed because she was wearing an arm guard. Her blank pants were tight fitting, showing the shape of her long slender legs and shapely butt. She wore a black boots and a black visor. Her hair was tied in a ponytail and tucked under her visor. She wore a black boots on her feet.
When she entered the arena, both athletes and spectators, especially the men, gave her catcalls, which irked Donello.
"Don’t mind them, Don." she reminded the hot-blooded young prince.
"Sister, you are looking so good in your outfit. Look at those men googling at you. I want to gouge their eyes."
Unbeknownst to them, a man watching from the observation platform and hidden from everybody’s view has a similar intention as the young prince.
"Chancellor, do you want the princess called to the disciplinary office?" the man who reprimanded Princess Amaya asked.
The Chancellor was about to respond when he saw his nominal fiancee enter the archery arena. Even from afar, her haughtiness was palpable. Chancellor Gray’s lips pursed into a thin line.
At the archery arena, Adelle smiled when she saw Princess Amaya wearing black. Adelle was wearing a white sleeveless shirt and matching white pants. Her clothes were very expensive, costing over 50,000 Uropan dollars.
Soon, the games began. Princess Amaya held back a little. Her mind was clear about her goal: to enter the final round. She was always the first one to get a score of six points, eliminating her opponents one by one, but she never got a perfect score.
Adelle, on the other hand, was basking at the cheers that she received. She came out to be a very strong contender with accurate rate of more than 95%. She and Amaya never encountered each other until the battle for the gold medal.
Adelle has studied Amaya’s score and technique. She was confident that she could beat her.
A large crowd gathered. The spectators were rooting for Adelle, even though some would have liked to cheer for the beautiful princess from Lireya. However, they were afraid of the repercussions of cheering for an opponent, so they chanted Adelle’s name while, in their hearts, they cheered for the beautiful princess.
Adelle was the first to shoot during the first set. The rule for archery in the Battle of the Titans was that archers could choose to shoot the three arrows first or alternately. Adelle was confident in her skills, so she choose to shoot all three arrows first.
She took her time to shoot, and all three of her arrows landed in the innermost ring of the target. Two of her arrows hit the bullseye, but the third arrow deviated a few millimeters from the center. From the spectator’s perspective, it was still a bullseye and her score was a perfect 30.
The crowd broke into a frenzy while chanting Adelle’s name. Princess Amaya waited for the noise to subside. She nocked her arrow and aimed at the target. While she calculated the trajectory of the arrow, the audience in the arena and those watching the live stream were mesmerized by her posture and beauty. She released the first arrow and then the next two arrows were released in succession without waiting to see if the first arrow hit the bullseye.
Spectators: "What the...."
