Raised From The Wild-Chapter 209: The Dancing Lady
The two subordinates looked at each other gloomily.
"Put me down first. Did you bring the miniature jack that I told you?" The boss spoke in a domineering manner, trying to suppress the pain in his voice.
X took an iron device from his backpack. Before he removed the chessboard from the vest on the floor, he could not help but look at his boss with pity in his eyes.
"Why did you use your weight to activate the defense mechanism in that vest? Look at you, Boss. You hurt yourself." X took advantage of this one time that he subtly get back on his boss looking down on him.
His boss glared at him. He shut his mouth and focused on the task at hand. He slapped away the chess board from the vest and replaced it with a device that looked like a mini jack. It has a reverse function. Instead of supporting a heavy load, it was applying a strong force on the object under it.
At 90 PSI, thousands of needles looking like quills appeared from under the vest. The quills were more than ten centimeters long, no wonder his feet were still hurt despite wearing sneakers and thick socks.
Y took photos and videos of the vest. X on the other hand removed the jack from the vest. The moment he removed the jack, tiny spikes appeared from the tip of the quills before they retracted and disappeared under a layer of cloth. X shuddered. He could not imagine how painful could it be.
The servant filled the sink with warm water and poured a considerable amount of liquid detergent. She picked the vest from the floor and placed it in the sink making sure that she was not touching the vest.
"What kind of scary vest is this? How can the Princess wear such dangerous clothes?"
At the amphitheater, the show has started. A beautiful young lady wearing a flowing white dress was riding a tiger. The hem of her skirt reached a little above her knees but she was wearing a sports shorts underneath. The black leather boots looked dainty on her feet.
"She has the same color as mine." Amaya blurted out. King Ralden who was sitting one seat away from her smiled.
King Ralden occupied the seat that has the best view of the arena. To his left was Queen Zanzara and to his right was his father-in-law. Amaya sat beside her uncle and Marx was sitting beside her. Tatiana and Shanaya were seated beside Zanzara.
Amaya looked at Marx. "Isn’t she beautiful? I think she is as old as me. Look at her sitting on that tiger looking majestic."
Sofia led five tigers inside the arena. When they were at the center, she did a beautiful flip and landed in front of the tigers perfectly.
The people watching the show clapped in amazement. There were not many people watching on that day. Only the king’s special guests and ministers of Ra-Iya with their families. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
The amphitheater was filled with the sound of fast music. Sofia was holding a baton and started to move her body in tune with the music. Her movement was graceful and she didn’t seem to have bones because her body was so flexible.
Zanzara gritted her teeth when she saw that King Ralden was enthralled by Sofia. She learned earlier from her personal maid that Sofia was one of the King’s favored concubines. The reason why he liked her was because she was good at training the animals. Additionally, she was so young and beautiful. She was even younger than her.
King Ralden’s eyes were fixed on Sofia. Her dance moves may seem innocent and normal from the other’s perspective, but from King Ralden, it was an invitation to do something passionate.
He gave her a seductive smile and made an ok sign. He will spend the night with her. To others, they thought that the dancer gained the approval of the king and gave her encouragement.
Sofia was encouraged by the king’s response. Her dancing even became livelier. The audience could not help but laugh at the tigers who scrambled on all fours trying to imitate her. Sometimes, she would slow down and let the tigers stand on their hind legs and pretend to be humans.
Amaya could not stop clapping her hands. Why did she not think of teaching her animal friends to dance? She made a resolve that once Strata or Khalil have their cubs, she would teach them dancing.
After Sofia and the tigers finished their presenttwo more performances were showcasingwcasing the antics of the wild animals. Amaya needed to go to the washroom and of course, Marx and one of her guards followed her.
"Do you need to follow me? I am just going to the restroom to pee. It is not like I am going out of the Colosseum." Amaya complained as she navigate the corridor to the nearest restroom.
Marx chuckled as he widened his steps to catch up with Amaya who was walking very fast. "It is better to be careful than sorry."
They reached the restroom and of course, Marx cannot go in. He suddenly felt the urge to kiss her. Marx checked out the angle of the CCTV cameras before pulling Amaya and pinned her on the wall. He kissed her on the lips for a full five minutes before letting go.
"What’s that?" Amaya asked in a daze.
"We haven’t kissed for a long time and I missed it." Marx teased her. He stepped back before he lose self-control.
Amaya’s face reddened and she hurriedly went inside the restroom. She was in a hurry and bumped into a beautiful woman who was the same height as her and has the same hair color.
"Sorry," Amaya muttered and continued to walk past her. She went to the last cubicle to relieve herself.
A glint passed across Sofia’s eyes and a sinister smile appeared on her lips. She walked gracefully out of the restroom and stumbled across a very handsome man.
Sofia took a second look before she continued walking without looking back.
Marx waited for fifteen minutes but Amaya still did not go out of the restroom.
"Amaya, are you alright?" he called from the door. There was no answer. He called a second time and only silence greeted him.
He barged into the door and checked the cubicles one by one. When he reached the last cubicle, his heart skipped a bit before he kicked the door open.
