Raised From The Wild-Chapter 143: Sports Fest Day 2
"Okay then, let us play tennis when you have the time." Marx twirled her hair which was held in a high ponytail using his fingers.
Marx and Amaya were both silent for a while as they watched the exchange of the ball between Julienne and her opponent.
"How about let’s play this Saturday?" Amaya asked with an expectant look in her eyes. Marx was tempted to say ’Yes’ but he can’t.
"Don’t forget that the opening of Simply Jewel will push through this Saturday morning and there is a gala and an auction in the evening." Marx twisted his body sideways so he was facing Amaya.
Princess Amaya touched her forehead with her palm. "I almost forgot. It is good that you are there to remind me." She smiled at Marx.
The Usturian tycoon wanted to pinch her cheek because she looked so cute but he controlled himself.
"See, how busy you are!" He patted Amaya’s head and then glanced at his wristwatch. "It is almost time for lunch. Let’s have lunch at the Royal Chef."
Amaya thought the watch perfectly matched Marx’s aura. And why not? There was only one kind of that watch in the whole world because it was made solely for Marx Skylar.
They waited for Julienne who unfortunately lost. Her opponent was last year’s champion in the Women’s Singles.
"Darn, it! This is my first game and I am unlucky to meet the Champion." Julienned cursed.
"Let us have lunch first. I have archery semi-finals at 2:00 pm."
Julienne followed Marx and Amaya to the Royal Chef restaurant. He did not notice Amaya’s outfit when she was sitting down earlier. Now that she was walking confidently beside him, Marx noticed that she wore a pleated skirt. But doesn’t she look more alluring in the short skirt?
Marx sighed. He resigned to the fact that Amaya was a beautiful woman and will surely attract a lot of admirers.
When they arrived at the restaurant, it was already filled with people. All the private rooms were already booked. They got a four-seater table beside a window on the second floor.
The waiter handed three menus to them. Marx looked at the menu briefly and gave his and Amaya’s orders to the waiter who hurriedly left after giving a polite bow.
"So, how many games are left for you, Aya?" Marx asked gently.
Julienne stole a glance at Marx when he called Amaya, Aya. ’What an endearment.’ Her eyes casually caught Amaya’s finger when the light hit the stone of her ring. ’Is that a pink diamond?’ She did not notice it before. She would ask Amaya about that later.
Marx was looking at his cell phone. He actually logged into the school’s website and check Amaya’s games.
"Why did you join so many? You have archery at 2:00 pm, a 3000 meters steeplechase, and swimming?" There was a deep crease between Marx’s brows. He disapproved of Amaya participating in the swimming.
"Well, it looks fun. I would like to experience playing in a sports fest." Amaya declared nonchalantly.
Marx sighed. ’I should not hinder her from exploring the world.’
"Hi, Amaya. Hi Julienne. Can I join you? There is no vacant table around.’ An extremely sweet voice entered Amaya’s sphere of hearing. The hair on her arms stood. She did not know why.
Julienne looked at Amaya and wanted to reject Samantha. Amaya has a good heart. "It is just sharing a seat. Come join us."
Both Marx and Julienne glared at the princess. ’What’s wrong with her? Did she not sense that Samantha is trying to steal her man?’ She gritted her teeth and threw a disgusted look at Samantha.
Samantha happily pulled a chair and sat down. Marx and Amaya were sitting opposite each other so Samantha was seated beside them. Amaya was to her left, and Marx to her right.
"Hello, Mr. Skylar. Are you going to watch the archery later?"
Marx stared at her coldly. He was a gentleman after all so he nodded in response without wasting his voice on her.
Their meal arrived and the waiter set down the food based on what he remembered. However, he did not anticipate that there was one more person sharing the table with them.
"Maam, can I have your order?" he said respectfully.
Samantha glanced at Amaya’s order of fried chicken and mashed potato plus a salad on the side. She smirked. How could she order such junk food? She really did not act like a princess.
Samantha ordered a very difficult-to-pronounce food from the menu. The waiter became pale because he did not understand what the Princess of Lupanya wanted.
Marx pitied the waiter so he told him what the princess wanted. The waiter beamed. He thanked Marx and went to the kitchen to get the order.
Marx resumed her focus on the girl in front of her. Amaya blushed but after a moment, she focused on enjoying her fried chicken.
They were all done, but Samantha’s order has not arrived yet. Marx frowned, then threw a glance at Julienne.
Julienne locked her gaze with Samantha. "Ayiee, Samantha, as you can see we still need to do some practice for the archery."
Amaya nodded to support Julienne. "I saw your friends over there." She pointed at a table on the ground floor. "Since your food is not yet here and we need to go, I suggest that you join your friends as we will be leaving in a while."
Samantha hated the innocent look on Amaya’s face as she said those words casually. However, her crush was with them so she definitely cannot lose her composure.
Samantha pouted. She made sure that her most beautiful angle was toward Marx, then she said pitifully. "You guys are heartless. How can you leave me like this?"
Amaya was dumbfounded.
Julienne smirked. ’What game this stupid woman wants to play.’
"I am heartless. So what?" Marx answered her indifferently. He grabbed Amaya’s hand and left.
Julienne was speechless. ’ Are they going to leave me here?’
"Tell the waiter to put the tab on me," Marx said without looking back.
The Uropan lass heaved a sigh of relief. She was scared that she needed to foot the bill.
"So, Princess Samantha, how about sharing the table with me? I can order coffee and dessert for both of us, and it is on me."
Samantha gritted her teeth. "Who wants to share a table with a nobody like you? Scram!" Samantha’s loud voice attracted the attention of the other diners. They were looking at their table as if they were waiting for a show.
Julienne chuckled. "You were the one who asked to join our table, and you are driving me away? Dream on." Julienne paused and thought of something. "On the other hand, since you asked me to leave, then I will leave. But tell the waiter that you will be paying for our bills."
Samantha stiffened. "Only fools would agree to such a proposal. But I am not a fool!"
"Why are you so angry Princess? I did not provoke you, right? Who would dare?"
Samantha was furious. She stood beside Julienne and pointed her fingers on her face.
"You..."
Julienne laughed.
"What?" She stared at Princess Smanatha with a mocking look.
Samantha was seeing red. She needed to calm down and think rationally. But before she can do anything else, Julienne stood up.
The waiter was coming with her order. Julienne told the waiter to put the bill on Marx Skylar and he nodded respectfully.
’Is that all? So, how powerful and how rich Marx Skylar is that even an unknown waiter recognized him?’
Julienne did not linger in the restaurant. She hurried to the training ground where the participants were already doing their exercises.
After Marx and Amaya left the restaurant, he brought her to the parking lot. A guard suddenly appeared holding a leather case. Amaya’s eyes flickered.
"Aya, I got something for you. Come on open it." He passed the huge case and then waited patiently.
Amaya opened the leather case and her eyes widened when she saw what was inside. It was a beautiful archery set. She took out the bow and the arrows. She tried to draw the strings but given their location, she might unintentionally hurt an innocent bystander
"Thank you, Marx. It is a wonderful gift."
Marx smiled to himself. Amaya was very easy to coax. You just need to do something that she likes and she will fall for you.
"Can we go back to the field? I would like to try this gift of yours" She smiled and it brought sunshine to his serious face.
Amaya changed into her hunting clothes. She will perform better if she wore that kind of outfit."
’Wow, Thr Princess is stunning in that dress."
"You are right. Indeed she is very beautiful"
Amaya heard the murmurs but she tuned out the sounds and fully concentrated on practicing using her new bow wd and arrows.
When Amaya draw the string, she felt the vibration. She became excited so she released the arrows.
