Rabbit Must Die-Chapter 601 - 205 Rabbit Run Fast [First Update] Burst_1
Thwack!
With a brick, Qin Shou slapped it squarely across the face of the Black Qilin!
The Black Qilin’s face was a mask of fury, and Qin Shou spread his hands, saying, "Sorry about that, the brick slapped you on its own initiative. If you don’t believe me, ask it."
Then, the brick itself began to rant, "If you want to hit, just hit, why the endless nagging? Are you an old woman or what?"
Ha ha...
Peals of sinister laughter echoed from outside the door.
Leiqiu could no longer contain his rage and, no longer in the mood to play along, bellowed, "You damn rabbit..."
But then, the rabbit opened his mouth wide and spat, "Cough—ptooey!"
A wad of phlegm landed accurately and unmistakably inside the gaping maw of the Black Qilin!
Unable to hold back any longer, Leiqiu turned and retched, "Ugh..."
Almost at the same moment, Qin Shou turned and bolted! His speed was so fast that Li Zhenying and the others were left agape, and by the time they reacted, the rabbit was nearly out of sight!
The Bronze Dragon hurriedly gave chase, and fortunately, as a Heavenly Immortal, his strength was much greater than the rabbit’s. Even with all of Qin Shou’s magic, he still couldn’t bridge the vast chasm between their powers.
It wasn’t long before the Bronze Dragon caught up. The rabbit glanced over at him and, without any politeness, hopped straight onto the dragon’s head. Leaning to the side, he nestled into Zhenying’s embrace, gasping for breath, "Damn... that felt good! That was the Black Qilin just now, beating him was such a thrill! Ha ha..."
Everyone was left speechless... It turned out this guy had recognized the Black Qilin all along and was just indulging in his own bouts of combat revelry!
Zhongshan Daoist said, "Rabbit, even at a time like this, you’re still looking for kicks? With that beating, you’ve thoroughly offended the Black Qilin. If he comes out, we’ll have no escape, neither to heaven nor into the earth!"
Qin Shou, unconcerned, retorted, "Afraid of what! There’s no escaping to heaven right now, but burrowing into the earth is easy. If push comes to shove, we’ll just go underground. Once in hell, we have plenty of allies. I refuse to believe we can’t handle one big Black Cat!"
"You’re not even a little afraid?" Zhongshan Daoist rubbed his temples, finding it difficult to follow the rabbit’s train of thought.
Qin Shou shook his head, "Afraid? Of course I am!"
"If you’re afraid, why did you hit him?" Zhongshan Daoist asked.
Qin Shou righteously declared, "If I don’t hit him, will he stop hunting us down? Since we’re going to be chased like dogs anyway, might as well give him a good beating first, enjoy myself..."
Zhongshan Daoist found himself speechless in response and, after a long while, managed to say, "At least we could have run first as the wiser option." 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Qin Shou, utterly unconcerned, replied, "If I don’t hit him, he’ll struggle desperately; when I beat him, he stays nice and compliant. When we ran, he was like an idiot, just dazed. Tell me, if we simply ran away, do you think he’d get out faster or chase us faster the way it is now?"
Upon hearing this, Zhongshan Daoist was completely at a loss for words and could only nod and say, "Seems like, you’re right."
Qin Shou, exceedingly pleased with himself, leaned back into Zhenying’s arms and said, "Wonder how Lady Diyong is doing."
Zhenying said, "When sister came out, she gave me a Jade Pendant. If the distance isn’t too far, it can transmit messages over a thousand miles. Back on Tai Mountain, I couldn’t reach her. But once out, I did. No one sent her straight to Tai Mountain; she took the Road to the Netherworld, came out after us, and is still behind us. Now with the Nine Dragons Divine Fire Cover sealing the mountain, she can’t get in, so, she’s actually pretty safe."
At that, Qin Shou breathed a sigh of relief; otherwise, he’d really have been a bit worried that she’d get burnt to death in the Nine Dragons Divine Fire Cover.
Just then, a roar thundered, "Rabbit, where do you think you’re going?!"
Upon hearing this, Qin Shou swiftly turned around to see a streak of black lightning racing towards them!
At that moment, on top of the Black Qilin’s head stood a figure—it was Leiqiu. Having lost face, and seeking to recover some semblance of dignity, he was furiously chasing them in person.
"What’s that thing? A gopher about the same height as I am?" Qin Shou squinted and asked.
"Seems to be a person," offered Zhongshan Daoist.
Kui San said, "No, definitely a gopher, with quite long fur."
Their voices weren’t lowered, and Leiqiu, able to hear every word, screamed in rage as he gestured and the sky instantly darkened with clouds, from which thunderbolts furiously pounded down!
Seeing this, the Bronze Dragon cried out, "Rabbit, give me the cauldron quickly! We can’t withstand this lightning... ugh..."
Mid-sentence, the Bronze Dragon watched a bolt of lightning strike down, only for the rabbit to open his mouth and let the lightning strike inside, munching on it and then... burping, with a bit of electric sparkle escaping his lips.
After a moment of speechlessness, the Bronze Dragon still said, "Rabbit, give me the cauldron. We’ll travel faster with it."
Qin Shou did not hand it over but coolly said, "Afraid of what! He can summon lightning, I can call for aid too."
Having said that, Qin Shou showed no concern for the rapidly approaching Black Qilin and Leiqiu, and casually commanded, "Black and White Impermanence, open the gate quickly."
No sooner had he spoken than Qin Shou looked around, only to find the surrounding area, aside from the howling wind and the descending lightning, completely quiet.
Seeing this, Qin Shou suddenly realized something was not quite right.
In a hurry, Qin Shou shouted, "They might have slipped away just now, let me try again. Black and White Impermanence, open the gate quickly, it’s me, the rabbit!"
Still no movement stirred around them...
Finally in a panic, Qin Shou yelled, "Black and White Impermanence, open the gate quickly!"
