Chapter 394: Chapter 7 Eat, Let’s Eat!_1

Everyone exchanged puzzled looks.

"Smells like roast snake," said the Rabbit.

"Roast snake meat? Ugh... roast snake? Where did the snake come from? Ouch... it hurts! Someone help! I’m about to be cooked alive, put out the fire..." the big snake yelled.

Qin Shou and the others felt like a hundred thousand crows were cawing above their heads, circling and refusing to leave!

Now they understood: the snake wasn’t being tough; it was an idiot! Its reaction time was disastrously slow—it didn’t feel the pain until it was almost fully cooked!

Qin Shou cleared his throat and said, "Stop shouting. If you don’t want to be cooked and eaten, just answer whatever I ask you, got it?"

As Qin Shou spoke, he withdrew the flames. Without Qin Shou’s heating, the mundane fire barely tickled the big snake—it felt nothing.

The big snake really had no spine at all and quickly nodded, saying, "Ask away, Immortal. Whatever you ask, I’ll answer."

Qin Shou asked, "Who sent you here?"

The big snake replied, "A white snake. He’s incredibly powerful, moves like lightning. I couldn’t possibly keep up and my venom couldn’t reach him. I was no match for him and he said if I didn’t help him rob the treasure vault, he’d kill me."

Qin Shou’s mind flashed to the slow-moving White-scaled Python and then back to this big snake, and he instantly realized it wasn’t that the big snake moved like lightning, but rather that its eyesight was pitifully poor!

Qin Shou coughed and asked, "Oh? Do you know why he wants to rob the treasure vault?"

The big snake nodded vigorously and said, "Yes. I heard there’s a key inside that can open the heavenly gate!"

At this, Qin Shou’s eyes lit up. He leapt onto Queen Baili’s chest, standing atop two mountain peaks and shouted, "You have a key that can open the heavenly gate?!"

Queen Baili looked at Qin Shou with a dumbfounded expression and asked, "What’s a key to open the heavenly gate?"

Seeing the genuine ignorance in her eyes, Qin Shou turned to the big snake and asked, "What is the key to open the heavenly gate?"

"I don’t know," the snake admitted. "But that’s what he said. He said the heavenly gate has closed and now no amount of cultivation could allow one to endure the tribulations to become immortal. You need a key to open the heavenly gate and rise to immortality."

Qin Shou then understood—the White-scaled Python must have wanted to become an immortal, so it came here seeking the key.

Qin Shou felt some regret for being too harsh with his fists; he had beaten the creature to death without learning anything useful from it.

Qin Shou continued, "Didn’t he tell you what the key looks like?"

The big snake shook its head, "He didn’t say. Just told me to loot the vault and leave. If someone powerful intervenes, he would deal with them. By the way, where is he?"

With a wave of his hand, Qin Shou said, "Flat. Very flat... lying on the ground."

The big snake, either truly foolish or pretending, nodded and said, "That’s good then."

Qin Shou was speechless... He then looked at Queen Baili and said, "Open the vault for me to have a look. I want the map, and I’m taking the key to the heavenly gate too. No objections, right?"

Queen Baili’s mouth twisted, her eyes rolling as she said, "Would it matter if I objected?"

"It matters," Qin Shou answered. "At least it’s more comfortable to say it out loud."

Queen Baili glanced at him and said, "The vault is over there. Here’s the key; go find it yourself."

Qin Shou grabbed the key and dashed over to the vault entrance. He swung open the door and dove right in...

Almost at the same time, Queen Baili seemed to remember something and abruptly stood up, shouting, "Wait a minute!" 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

But it was too late. The Rabbit had already plunged inside.

Then, a cry of surprise came from inside, "How did you get this?!"

Queen Baili’s face reddened as she dashed over, long legs striding, not allowing anyone near!

Just as the Rabbit was about to emerge, she pressed down on the Rabbit’s head, pushing it back into the vault while signaling to keep quiet.

With a wordless gaze, Qin Shou held something in his hand that kept spinning...

It was no ordinary item, but a black bra, edged with lace!

Qin Shou telepathically asked, "How come you have this?"

Queen Baili replied softly, "It fell from Heavenly Mountain of the Earth Immortal World! It’s said that over three hundred years ago, there was a revolt in Heavenly Court. Exactly the battle that Ruyi Heavenly Immortal mentioned. At that time, the Three Immortals Road opened, and the Earthly Immortal Realm was affected, with dark clouds covering the sky and wild winds roaring. This garment fell from heaven..."

"Our ancestors were cultivators, weren’t they? She caught it by chance. At first, she didn’t know what it was, only later did she figure it out..."

Upon hearing this, Qin Shou instinctively glanced at Queen Baili’s chest and exclaimed, "No wonder it felt so solid when I stood on it..."

"Shh! Don’t say a word! This one has extra padding!" Queen Baili said, her pretty face flushing red.

Qin Shou immediately covered his mouth. He knew all too well that suggesting a woman had small breasts was a greater offense than being her sworn enemy, so he promptly shut up.

Changing the subject, Qin Shou asked, "So, you’re just keeping this thing around?"

Queen Baili explained, "Our ancestors said that even though it’s an ordinary object, it has been imbued with immortal energy. A fairy’s possession, kept here, counts as a stroke of fortune and opportunity. Besides, this is also the first Heart Guard Mirror in the world. Keeping it is proof that it originated from us."

Upon hearing this, Qin Shou couldn’t help but burst into laughter, "Heart Guard Mirror? Who told you it’s called that? And who gave you the courage to claim it originated from you?"

Queen Baili responded, "The name was given by our ancestors, and I’m the one who said it originated from here. Is there a problem?"

Qin Shou patted the Queen’s thigh and said, "Of course there’s a problem! This was something I brought to the Heavenly Court! The first one was made by me! And let me tell you, it’s not called a Heart Guard Mirror, it’s called a bra!"

Queen Baili was taken aback at first, then she spat and called out, "Pervert."

Qin Shou knew that regardless of what he said, Queen Baili wouldn’t believe him, but it didn’t matter. He measured the bra, analyzed it carefully, pondered it, then made grabbing and stepping gestures in the air before concluding, "This must belong to that busty sister He Xiangu! I wonder if someone’s clothes got torn off in a fight, or if she threw it away because it was in the way... or maybe it was stolen while she was airing out her laundry, carried off by the wind..."

"What are you doing?" Queen Baili asked.

Qin Shou shook his head, placed the bra on top of his head, and said with righteous indignation, "This item from the Heavenly Court naturally needs to be taken back by me."

He proceeded solemnly, "When worn by a woman, it’s called a bra. On us, it’s called a Wind-guard Goggle. This is the correct way to wear it!"

Having said that, Qin Shou walked into the treasury with his hands behind his back.

Disinterested in the gold armor and gemstones, Qin Shou’s target was clear: find treasures saturated with Yuan Qi!

After a careful search, Qin Shou actually found three items imbued with Yuan Qi. Although the fluctuations of Yuan Qi were weak and they weren’t anything special, they were the best this place had to offer.

A Heart Guard Mirror, a rusty iron sword, and a ring.

Picking up the Heart Guard Mirror and rubbing it, Qin Shou infused it with Yuan Qi, and the mirror lit up with a blurry golden light. He tapped it, and ended up denting it. Then he decisively tossed the mirror to Queen Baili, whose eyes were sparkling, and said, "Keep this. It might save your life in a critical moment."

Queen Baili nodded, happily tore open her neckline, and stuffed the Heart Guard Mirror right in!

In that instant, Qin Shou couldn’t help but glance at the Heart Guard Mirror, which clearly reflected quite a nice landscape...

But Qin Shou rapidly redirected his attention to the iron sword. After infusing it with Yuan Qi, the sword emitted a green glow, shaking off all the rust and turning into an attractive longsword.

He tapped it and made another dent, then disdainfully threw it to the eager-looking Queen Baili.

Picking up the ring, it was much the same, and ultimately it landed on the Queen’s wrist.

With that, there were no more Yuan Qi-imbued items left in the entire treasury.

Because of this, Qin Shou went back outside to roast snake for a while. With the big snake’s resolute confirmation and guarantee, Qin Shou, determined not to give up until he found the key that could open the heavenly gate, charged back into the treasury.

At that moment, Shangguan Hongye said, "Not all treasures have to have fluctuations of Yuan Qi, right? But a treasure has got to be hard!"

Upon hearing this, Qin Shou’s eyes suddenly lit up, and he immediately started shoving anything he could grab into his mouth!

Then, there was a cascade of crunching sounds... all kinds of golden armor, jade swords, money trees... turned into food in Qin Shou’s belly.

Watching her treasures being devoured by this rabbit, Queen Baili’s face turned green. For the second time, she felt bringing the rabbit back was a mistake!

Shangguan Hongye, head hung low, didn’t dare to look up at the Queen.

Qin Shou was still eating when he turned his head and caught Queen Baili’s resentful gaze. He pursed his lips, slapped the wall of the treasury, and the next moment, the wall exploded into a cloud of dust. When the dust settled, the wall was restored, and the entire treasury had turned to gold!

Queen Baili’s resentful gaze turned to astonishment, then to shock, and finally to ecstatic joy. She laughed heartily, "Rabbit Lord, eat more, eat more... if it’s not enough, there’s more in the palace, haha..."

Qin Shou was speechless—a queen acting like a miser.

Since the bill was paid, it wouldn’t do to waste a visit to the cafeteria, so he dug in!

Qin Shou casually grabbed an ancient token and popped it in his mouth. One bite and it snapped like tofu, into two pieces. He chewed and chewed, and there was a bit of an earthy stone taste to it.

Without overthinking it, Qin Shou, operating on the principle that anything indestructible was junk, began a campaign of ’see it, eat it, never miss it.’

Qin Shou was like a furnace, stuffing everything in the royal treasury into his mouth, leaving nothing behind!

After finishing, Qin Shou sat on the ground, touched his belly, and muttered, "The nutrition’s not as good as it is in Heaven, though the taste and texture are more or less the same."

After saying that, Qin Shou twirled around on the spot, and just then, the big snake’s voice came from outside, "I remember now! That white snake once said something that might have to do with the key to open the gate!"

PS: Expect an outburst tomorrow.
